I was passing through Bandera on my way to Kerville and stopped in to do some hardware shopping…read more Having been there previously, I remember the lady at the counter asking me if I was a veteran. I proudly pulled out my identification for verification and she said, "Thank you for your service, sir!" So I was under the impression that this establishment honored veterans. As the cashier rang up my goods this morning, I pulled out my identification and told her I was a veteran, and she began to ring it up and stopped. She then told me that was tomorrow. I said, "Tomorrow... what do you mean?!" She looked at me as she leaned forward and mumbled, "They only give to discount on Thursday's." WOW! Was the only reply I gave. If she has to mumble the policy to people, then it is obvious that employees are ashamed of the company's policy. I'm a proud veteran of these United States and the great state of Texas 24 / 7. So I will take my business elsewhere! Greed should never surpass patriotism in this country... EVER.

I was a little under duress when a very helpful associate stopped what he was doing and assisted me contacting the store manager who's name was Jon. To make a long story short this Gentleman went above and beyond what he was expected to do and performed in an EXEMPLARY MANOR to assure that he helped me and my situation which he did in High fashion. I was and am so impressed with this young man's professionalism! He was to TRUE Value what Brady was to the N E PATs! You don't find that type of dedication to excellence in retail much these days!I tell you this much WE ARE LOYAL CUSTOMERS TO THIS LOCATION FOR LIFE! If your planning on building a house or a DIY project please pass by this lumber and hardware…read morestore. Their are plenty of choices in Kerrville like Home Depot, Lowes, MG Building Material, and McCoy's Building Supplies. I have had more trouble with getting my orders filled in a timely manner than Carter has peanuts. They have messed up on all my special orders like doors and hardware. When you talk, ye, or scream how important it is to get moved in to you house, commercial building, or business they keep telling you what you want to hear and that they will look into it and see what the hold up is. They tell you a day and when that day comes you are the one calling them to see what's going on. We as customers should not be the ones tracking our orders let alone the people we buy from. When we are told a date and the material does not come in the salesman should be calling you first thing in the morning so we can rearrange our schedule. All contractors base their schedules around a timeline of when material arrives and if that material does not come in we as contractors need to call off our subs so we are not wasting their time and money. But this outfit could care less about your schedule what do they have to loose we have already paid for the material we need. My suggestion is that we all need to bring back customer service and if the companies we are doing business with can not supply us with the customer service we deserve we go elsewhere and show them what it feels like to have their money wasted and taking away from them. These businesses really need to realize with out a customer you do not have a job or business. Customers should always come first

We bought a home with a 5-year old Kinetico water softener. The water in the house would come out…read morefrothy and SUPER salty. We had Kinetico come and service it. They said that the issue was that we needed to replace the PRV out by the street, which would cost $1,000. We had a non-Kinetico plumber come out to change out the PRV and see if he could help solve the softener issue. The first thing he pointed out was that the Kinetico filter hadn't been changed in what looked like years - yet the Kinetico service peeps had been there "servicing" the system just a few days earlier! The non-Kinetico plumber noted that he wouldn't touch a Kinetico system, but he showed us how to change the filter and charged $200 to replace the PRV. (One fifth the price of the Kinetico quote.) The PRV and filter change made no difference in the salt water issue, so we had Kinetico come out again. (Another $250 even though it was under warranty.) They came out again and replaced some small components in the system head, BUT also said that they recommend that we replace the system with one of their newer models because our warranty was about to expire AND the salt would probably return. OR add a dechlorinator, but they couldn't say if that would actually solve the problem. The new system would be ~$7,500 if we bought it before our warranty expired. It would be more expensive if we waited a month (after the expiration date). (They try to upsell on the phone and when they come out. It is a constant thing with anyone we speak to.) Three weeks later the salty water returned - extreme frothy, salty water. When taking a shower, it is as if we are bathing with ocean water. I generally wash my face afterward with bottled water to get the salt off my lips. Obviously, we can't drink the water like that. So if you crave salt water and want a softener that will last less than 5 years and want to pay $250 per service call (when under warranty) Kinetico is the choice for you. It has been a very disappointing experience. We are replacing the system with a less expensive but hopefully more reliable system.

I have had several technicians inspect the unit, and three units have been replaced by "master techs" who have been unable to identify the cause of our excessive water usage, which exceeds 15,000 gallons during our absence for the majority of the day.Upon consulting my own plumber, I was informed that the water softener is the root cause of the leak. Following my plumber's confirmation of the issue, the unit was shut off, and my water bill returned to its normal state. However, this company has yet to refund me for the water bill or resolve the problem within months. Despite numerous continuous conversations, no solution has been found. When I have requested a refund and the removal of the faulty unit, my account remains unresolved, and I continue to face difficulties with Hope to just have them removed from my home and my credit
