Wow, what a difference a few days makes. I decided to give Bandanas another try but this time I ordered online and got the ribs instead of the brisket & burnt ends. The ordering process was simple, the girls behind the counter were on it as I was greeted immediately and my order was ready when I got there. She made sure I had utensils, sauce and some wet naps. To be honest I didn't really even have to have the sauce for the ribs because they were so good they didn't need sauce. I used the sauce to dip my bread. I love the atmosphere of this place! Totally had a great time and really enjoyed my food. The waitress told us they just ran out of burnt ends appetizer and then the manager came out with a half portion. Ended up talking with him for awhile, great guy, great service amazing food. My mom and I stopped into Bandana's for lunch last week, and we were honestly surprised it wasn't busier -- because everything was excellent. The service was outstanding: friendly, fast, and incredibly helpful, especially since it was our first visit. My mom ordered the ribs, and I had the burnt ends with pork. We shared okra, slaw, and beans, and everything was tender, flavorful, and truly delicious. This place beats many of the traditional barbecue spots in Paducah, hands down. We were traveling through the area, going from Wisconsin to Florida and needed a late lunch early dinner, so we hopped off the highway to grab a bbq meal. It smelled god inside and were seated promptly. Our waitress took our order of a small chicken piece and one side, and I ordered a pork sandwich and two sides. The chicken was smoked and crispy skinned with a side of bbq beans. It was a bit dry but salvaged with sauce. My bbq pork was a chopped variety with too much fat included and waaay too salty. I asked the wait when she returned to ask our opinion, if the pork was usually salty and she said, that is the way it was. Don't order this if you need to avoid sodium intake. The potato salad and bbq beans were good. Probably not going to order this anytime soon. read more

This restaurant is excellent. We had planned on going to a nearby restaurant that I will not name, but got there and were told that it was out of meat. So we went Bandanas, where we met our nephew. We got seated immediately and began drinking inexpensive domestic beers - I appreciate not being overcharged for cheap beer. The wife and I ordered a massive slab of ribs with sides of slaw and beans and the nephew ordered Brisket Sandwich. The restaurant provided multiple different types of sauce, all of which were good. Cute mid west chain. Lo key ambience with pleasant servers. We had picked another place for dinner but it had closed by the time we got there. We were a bit late after traveling all day and there were only a few other there. My daughter and I split ribs that came with two sides. After having read some reviews we went with fried green beans which several posters raved about but we were not fans. We also got baked beans which were good but had a pretty intense smoky taste. if you like very greasy, undercooked ribs that you can hardly cut off the bones, this might be your place. There wasn't the slightest taste of any smoking on them! The fried okra must had been cooked in stale grease, yuch!! The baked beans would have been better right out of a can. Additionally, the garlic bread had NO garlic flavor or maybe it was just overcome by the same stale greasy flavor. This was our first and last trip there!! My husband, bro and I are in town from AZ and we're so glad we decided to eat here. We split the broiled peanuts and donut holes. I got the brisket, green beans, potato salad and it came with garlic bread. The peanuts were good and something different to try. The donut holes were delicious!! We got half and half but I preferred the powder ones. The brisket was AMAZING!! I really enjoyed it!! Potato salad was good. The green beans were good but nothing special. My brother got the fried okra and I rather have had that than the green beans. That atmosphere was good, very clean and loved the country music they were playing!! The service was the BEST!! Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with different workers. Our server was the sweetest and the food came out in a timely manner. If we had more time here, we'd go back for sure!! The place is very big on the inside but very clean and busy. You can smell the bbq smokiness through. The meats both had really good smoke and flavor and portions were pretty good for $17. Brisket was a little tougher than I like but not dry by any means. Unfortunately I did not save room for dessert but the waitress seemed to be pushing it to all so has to be good. We placed an order to go while on vacation in Paducah. My wife had the pulled pork plate and I had the potato with pulled pork. The pulled pork was excellent. My wife ordered the small (vs regular?) portion of meat which was small so she would order the regular size in the future. The potato was a little on the small side compared to some other BBQ restaurants but it was very well prepared. BBQ topped potatoes are not a regular thing at restaurants so I am glad they have this on their menu. We would definitely return! read more

Let me start off that the service was top notch & we overheard the people behind us asking about gluten ingredients & the staff bent over backwards to get the needed information so that's a big positive. The food however was meh. My mom liked the ribs & enjoyed her meal but for me I was disappointed. Good BBQ is great without sauce & the sauce just enhances the taste but my sandwich came so drenched in super sugary sauce I never was able to taste the meat. We were driving through and based on the reviews we decided to stop. So glad we did! The brisket was fork tender and delicious with or without BBQ sauce. The stuffed baked potato was yummy. We used the suggestion from a previous review and used the bread to sample all 5 sauces. The Spicy and the KC were our favorites. Highly recommend the baked beans. Since we are traveling in our motor home we ordered brisket, beans and Spicy BBQ sauce and KC BBQ sauce to go! Stopped for a quick dinner while traveling through. The food was delicious, service fast, and restaurant on the inside looks very clean, shiny and new. We had a pork sandwich that was so tender and smoky, we didn't even have to add the bbq sauce. The Brisket Melt was great. Again, it was tender, smoky and the au jus that comes with it was perfect! We were disappointed. Brisket was fair however they need a scale before they claim 9 oz of meat with the pricey ($19.99) dinner portion. I had 3 oz with my meal and no way was my husband's meal 3X that. Brought our concerns to our waitress who brought him another few oz of meat.
