If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Having two full master bedrooms gave my wife and me tons of space, and our 15-year-old son loved having a proper, high-end bedroom to himself instead of a pullout couch. Points-wise, it was an incredible redemption. That said, if you're paying cash, bringing a larger group to split a flat or house would make the value even better. The location is extremely convenient--about 25 minutes from MCO airport, 16 minutes from the Orange County Convention Center, 15 minutes to Disney, and 23 minutes to Universal. Resort & Vibe: The resort hits you with a serious "wow" factor right when you drive through the front gates--it feels like stepping into a lush, tropical world. We arrived early in the morning well before check-in, but Allison at the front desk was so welcoming and did a great job accommodating us while we waited. The Lagoon & Food: The Evermore Bay lagoon was extraordinary, especially for our teenager. Between the watersports, rope swing, and waterslide (a total 10/10 according to my son), there was endless fun. It was our first time paddleboarding, and the staff made us feel right at ease. Food-wise, we didn't expect much from a resort food court, but we were blown away by the smash burgers and Ahi Tuna Poké bowls--they became our daily go-to items. Huge shoutout to Kimmy bartending at one of the outdoor mobile vans. She brought such a bright, bubbly, positive energy to our day, even while battling the Florida heat and wasps! The Golf Experience: As ~20 handicappers, both courses were immaculate and a fun challenge. However, customer service was a tale of two different worlds: Cypress Course: Beautiful layout (the Sawgrass #17 replica was awesome!). Our starter, Jimmy, was top-tier and gave us incredible island-style hospitality. Since we were playing in a foursome with my 82-year-old father, Jimmy thoughtfully suggested that if the faster group behind us caught up, we should let them play through so we could enjoy our family time without feeling rushed. Looking back, Jimmy was 100% right--we maintained a steady pace, and the group behind us never ended up pressing us anyway. Unfortunately, Jimmy's supervisor/boss approached us from the very start with a bad attitude. When we paused to let that group pass and I mentioned, "Well, Jimmy told us..." he cut me off with, "WELL I'M JIMMY'S BOSS!" and scolded us to keep up with the group ahead. On a family resort where people pay top dollar to make memories, his approach lacked basic customer service and tact. We had a similarly cold experience with the head pro shop manager (listed as "MBYERS" on our receipt). A little warmth goes a long way. Grand Links Course: We came back Sunday before our flight to play Links, and it was night-and-day! Before our round, I even went out of my way to swing by Cypress just to thank Jimmy again for his hospitality earlier in the week. Over at Grand Links, Vince and Caroline at the front desk set a fantastic tone, Braden had our bags dialed in, and Mike gave us a great course orientation. After the round, Caroline went above and beyond. I realized I lost my headcover, which turned out to be found by the group behind us. Caroline immediately radioed it in, located it, and without hesitation offered to fetch it. Since we were in a time crunch before our flight, she even met us at the food court with it. That proactive service did not go unnoticed! Final Verdict: Evermore is world-class when it comes to the lagoon, villas, and course conditions. I will definitely be back for the golf--hopefully next time, management on the golf side takes a page out of Caroline and Jimmy's book!

Booking online was simple and hassle-free, and when I reached out about the possibility of an early check-in and a late check-out, the team was able to accommodate both requests. While I was here, I heard someone at the front desk to make a comment that this location was recently bought out by Disney. The hotel staff was great, we loaded our bags on a cart, which they brought up to our room for us. At one point, I left the room without a key card, and upon proving my identity at the front they quickly gave me a new one to use. This location is huge, and has plenty of amenities! I enjoyed walking around and exploring the hotel, and especially seeing the pool area, which has plenty of lounge seating. The fitness center was nice, although I was surprised in how small it is for a location this large. I did a workout at 8 AM on Monday, and four other people joined me during this time, so what was a little tight. My husband had a great experience at his work conference, meals were served here which looked good from what I could see. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel the next time I return to Disney!

Here are a few of the issues we've encountered on the one night we've been here: Hotel related: * A/C is ridiculously loud when the fan kicks in, to the point that the TV can no longer be heard at its previous volume and it woke me up twice during the night. (Front desk says it is a known issue with these type of room and nothing can be done about it so we won't be able to sleep well for the rest of our stay). * The coffee maker pot leaks and does not reach a high enough temp for coffee/tea. * Some kitchen cabinet doors do not remain fully closed. * Bathroom barnyard style doors have huge gaps on both sides and are unable to provide privacy to the person using the bathroom unless they also close the bedroom door. * Water pressure is non existent. Area: Not very walkable, not many options in terms of food within a walkable distance. Not a big problem for us but maybe for people with young children, there were loud fireworks until around 10pm last night, hopefully not an every night occurrence.

No for real -- these drinks are so over the top, healthy, and delicious. And yes, also very pricey. I've attended several events at the ette, most recently Mother's Day high tea and a pilates wellness event. They always make you feel like royalty and I just love visiting here as a local.

Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was underwhelming. I stayed in Room 515, and the hallway noise was excessive throughout my visit. I'm not sure if employees gather in that area before shifts, but there were frequent loud conversations and people shouting down the hallway that carried directly into the room. For a hotel positioning itself as a luxury property, I expected a quieter environment. The room itself had several issues. The bedside charging ports did not work. The bed was made with a comforter but no top sheet, which felt unusual for a hotel at this price point. I was also disappointed by the Le Labo amenities. The hotel's website prominently features a Le Labo amenity box containing numerous products. In reality, the box in my room contained only one Le Labo hand lotion, hand soap and bath salts. It felt misleading compared to the way it is presented in the hotel's website. I needed to use the steamer for a shirt and, while it appeared to be a fairly inexpensive unit, I expected it to function properly. After filling it just above the minimum water line, it immediately began sputtering water everywhere. Since I didn't have time to call for a replacement, I left it on the countertop with a note explaining that it was not working, expecting housekeeping would replace it. Instead, it was simply placed back in the bag. Housekeeping attention to detail was lacking as well. Small pieces of mint wrappers that I left near the coffee station remained there after the room was serviced. These are the kinds of details I would expect a luxury hotel to notice and address. Another disappointing interaction occurred when I called the front desk to ask if they had Tums or a similar antacid available. The employee initially had no idea what I was referring to, and once he understood, he laughed and told me to go to CVS. I've stayed at many 3- and 4-star hotels that keep basic items such as antacids or ibuprofen available for guests, so this response was surprising. Breakfast was mediocre, and the service throughout the property never rose above average. Nothing was terrible, but very little felt exceptional. For nearly $1,000 for two nights, I expected a much higher level of service, attention to detail, and overall guest experience. None of the issues on their own would have ruined the stay, but together they created an experience that fell well short of what I would expect from a hotel charging 5-star rates. The property may market itself as a luxury hotel, but my stay did not reflect a luxury experience.

The bed was comfortable and everything was super clean. Pool setup was perfect! The main floor hotel cafe/restaurant had good options, especially for a quick breakfast. There are some kid amenities here, though it seemed less than other hotels, and overall it was a relatively quiet location. There seemed to be many folks there for work/convention. All of the staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful. We were provided excellent info with check-in to get us started with our park-planning. The main floor bar could use some more seats as it was always busy, and made sense due to the excellent drink options, friendly and attentive bartenders. Michael, in particular, was amazingly hospitable! Another reason we picked this location was access to the park shuttles. This was perfect! Didn't have to walk far with the hotel to the pick up and rarely encountered much of a wait for the shuttles. Overall, a great stay.

By the time regular check-in came up at 4 PM, we were still waiting because their systems had gone down earlier in the week. We weren't able to get to our room until about 5:30/545. For some reason, the cold knob of the sink did not work so we could only use the hot water. The shower door did not close entirely so water spilled out during showering. For as much money spent for a 3 day 2 night stay, I expected this to be a very smooth, relaxing process. Nothing was offered to remedy these inconveniences. No drink tickets, no vouchers for the on-site restaurants. They could've even offered some universal credit card rewards points for our visit to redeem in park or in the hotel. Next time, I'm going choose to go out of the country for about the same, or less that was paid for this day, instead of spent so much money on a staycation that did not go smoothly.
