A nice-sized smart Vietnamese cafe in a quiet location down an unassuming street.
Our drinks were made fresh to order (lemonade and iced coffee). Summer rolls were bland but the veggie spring rolls (of which I would never have chosen but the pork weren't ready) were truly great, didn't like either of the dipping sauces. The prawn crackers were nothing special.
Between afew of us, we tried alot of food....pho was OK, not enough noodles, too much onion, not enough herbs, no lime, soup flavour was fine, raw beef was good.
Lemongrass chicken salad was nice, good dressing, chicken was over-cooked though.
Baguette was excellent, warm bread, good flavours.
BBQ pork with rice was very good, full of flavour, charred to perfection.
Their only available dessert was a coconut ice-cream moochi stuffed with chocolate ice-cream, very nice, hideous mint drizzle accompaniment though.
Then the pork spring rolls were ready and they were worth the wait, with the correct dipping sauce as expected.
Overall, we enjoyed our time, service was great, food was good if not WOW. read more
