I came into Bambini to find some baby clothes made from organic materials for a heavily pregnant, 'no polyester is going near my baby' friend of mine. I was happy enough to find a couple of such items on first entering the shop. Good sign, I thought, and ventured deeper into the shop, hopeful that all their items would be similarly made. First thing I stumbled upon was an 'educational doll' - a kids doll with sexual organs. Fair enough. I understood the premise, not necessarily their marketing strategy. I continued on to flick through the rack of girls clothes (sizes 000 - 3). Finding a cute jacket, I checked the tag for the 'certified organic' stamp. This I did not find. But I did find a $399 pricetag. On a jacket fit for a 6 month old baby. Burberry.
Of course I bought it* - who can turn down a bargain like that?
