I'm updating my review for BAM and giving them a shoutout. Three years ago our yard looked like hell. It was a weed factory. We had the ugliest yard in the neighborhood. I was reluctant to have anyone spray because we have a big garden and the last weed company killed my trees and garden plants. But BAM, who is locally owned, has restored the yard and I have a thick and lush yard of grass. The garden is fine with no visible sights of issues. The trees are also in great shape. We selected them, because our neighbors use them. They threat three of us in a row when they come so all yards look great and contiguous. The same technician comes every time so there is consistency throughout the year. Last year, he recommended aerated and I think the aeration helped this year's results. Prices are reasonable. They come out multiple time to fertilize and treat for weeds. They are keepers. read more

This company does the landscaping for my apartment. They recently ripped out a bunch of bushes and used their leafblowers and weedwhackers to clear up the debris. I manage Sr Citizen communities and we mistakenly contracted with BAM this past year. Yesterday they came and sprayed herbicide throughout the lawn. Only when we asked if it was safe for pets did they bother to tell us that it is in fact hazardous to pets. Unbelievable incompetence from this company!! I have two issued with BAM Outdoor. Our HOA contracted with BAM for mowing and for irrigation. 1. One of their mowers backed into a fence post and snapped it off and BAM refuses to make the needed repairs. 2. BAM failed to properly winterize the irrigation system and the water line burst in two places. BAM inspected and told me it was a plumbing problem so I called a plumber and the plumber put in writing that it was an irrigation problem. The only way the line could burst was if there was still water in the line and it was not properly winterized. I've contacted BAM and they refuse to pay for the repair. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau but BAM has failed to respond to them. There are many reputable landscape and irrigation companies in Hamilton County; unfortunately BAM is not one of the. These repairs cost me $1500 because of BAM's refusal to honor their contract. read more

I have had my yard aerated by Matthew at BAM for years. He does a great job and the price is very reasonable. My neighbors have complimented his work so much that they have BAM aerate their yards too. I also have BAM aerate my daughters yard. read more

This company took over the landscaping and mowing for my HOA this year and I have been nothing but disappointed. They are contracted to mow once a week, but have yet to meet that obligation. The grass goes to seed between every cutting, highlighting the areas they entirely miss while mowing. Not only do they do a subpar job mowing, but also trimming. They came out yesterday for the first time in 10 days. As they were packing up to leave for the day, I asked them to come back and trim around mine and my neighbor's buildings, as they had apparently missed them. I went in the house, assuming the issue had been taken care of, only to come back out and see they had still missed an entire side of the building where 12" grass is growing making the area look extremely unkempt. When they mulched last week, they buried my annuals, trampled my perennials, and knocked the budding flowers off my irises. I have been been in contact with our Property Manager who has contacted the company several times trying to remedy the situation, but so far, I haven't seen a change. Their attention to detail is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Do not hire this company. read more

STAY AWAY! look elsewhere for hardscaping. We hired BAM 2 years ago to put in a $15,000 patio that should have had a 1 year warranty. They completely ignored us within that 1 year warranty and never addressed any of our concerns. We sent multiple emails with pictures to take a look at our caving in pavers and rotting cedar beams but were ignored or told that we were being "too picky". Once we learned that our project manager was no longer with the company, we reached out again and were told that repairs would be $3,000 because we are outside of our warranty. We even forwarded documentation that we had been trying within the warranty period. So frustrating! We will be finding another company to do the repairs and would suggest others stay away! **9/8 Update: BAM did end up reaching out about our patio and everything was made right! BAM has new owners now which is probably why we were having so much difficulty getting a hold of someone during our one year warranty period. I can say that the new project manager that is now working at BAM is fantastic and the new owners seem great to. The owner actually came out to look at our patio prior to any work being done and we were able to reach a very fair agreement to fix our patio. Matt was sent out to do the repairs and was FANTASTIC! He was a perfectionist, which I appreciate, and our patio actually looks better now after repairs than what it did when it was brand new! read more

What a HORRIBLE experience with these people!!!! They came out and removed 4 bushes... cut the underground wiring to the outside post light which resulted in electrical arcing on the circuit and fried several electrical devices. It cost me $1,155.85 to have it repaired. I forwarded the invoice from the electrician to Bam and asked for reimbursement. After it became clear that they had no intent to reimburse me, I am now suing them! BEWARE!!!!! These people have no interest in doing the right thing! read more

Bam has angered and neglected an entire neighborhood. Today Bam told our manager that our irrigation was fixed, but once again did not replace a broken sprinkler head that has been lying on my dead grass for months now. Because they claimed to have completed the job and that is a lie, I am cross-posting my original Angie's List review here on Yelp: I am on the HOA board for our neighborhood, which handles all landscape and maintenance for its residents. We switched to Bam for our landscaping services this year, and we are so sorry that we did. We have been battling them for MONTHS trying to get them to perform the services we contracted them to do, which include mowing, weeding, dead plant removal, and management of our irrigation system. In the spring, they would only come out to mow every TEN days. The grass would go to seed, and get thick and ugly. It looked terrible and residents were complaining. When they finally did mow, clean-up was abysmal. Every year the HOA does a walkthrough with the landscaping company to find areas to address; this year, Bam's representative only attended a partial walkthrough with us, and left early. Unprofessional, and indicative of the lack of attention they're willing to give even a large $$ contract. Not surprisingly, there are parts of the community that get forgotten, especially with weeding. Weeds run rampant in our flower beds- the big and obvious kinds of weeds- no excuse for not removing or treating them. It is July, and parts of our irrigation are still turned off or broken. Their inventory of our irrigation was incomplete (again, missing parts of the community). I literally placed a broken sprinkler head on the sidewalk so they wouldn't miss it, but they did. They're not bothering to survey the entire community they're in charge of. Our grass is dying. Bam is non-responsive. Did I mention it's July and our grass is still not getting watered? This whole time, our manager has attempted constant communication with Bam but they are unresponsive. They say they're having staffing issues; they keep promising us that they'll take care of us. They'll give us a date, which comes and goes with nothing done, then another date, which comes and goes, until finally it's July and all we've gotten out of our contract are a few mowings and mulch on the beds. Our HOA board would not recommend Bam to anyone. We're appalled at the service (or lack thereof) that we've gotten. read more

I don't think BAM knows what they're doing but they refuse to work with us. BAM handles the lawn maintenance for my apartment complex. They are horrible. They miss huge strips when mowing and simply leave them. They often wait until it rains to show up, do a half-baked job, then leave it unfinished. The blow grass and mulch onto your patio and leave it. Sometimes they don't show up for several weeks, then show up twice in one week... Usually when it is about to rain. I was general manager of a landscaping company for years. I've never seen lazier, more lackadaisical employees. Nor have I ever seen sloppier work. Do yourself a favor: Look elsewhere. read more

I would not use this company. They did a landscaping job for us and damaged our property, plants were dead within weeks and they wouldn't replace, trees leaning sideways that need to be staked. All of our attempts to contact them via phone and email were unanswered. I even sent pictures so they could see what I was talking about. Only part of the work was completed to my satisfaction. The whole point behind having a garden installed was to get the old, weed infested, rock hard soil out and replace with good top soil that was easy to dig in thereby making it easy for me to garden. The installer simply dumped new poor quality top-soil on top of my old top-soil. I have contacted the company with this feedback but have received no reply. If I could give them a NO star rating I would. Our community uses BAM for our lawn service and I must say they are the worst. They leave patches in the yard uncut, do a lousy job of trimming. Today they fertilized our yards and skipped over mine. I went over to talk to the technician and ask why he didn't fertilize my yard. You are on a list he says, what list? A list that says not to fertilize your yard. This was a list from last year. They were told to fertilize my yard this year. Their employee stood there and yelled at me for 10 minutes and demanded I move my car so he can get in his truck to get fertilizer. I told him he was getting it from the side of the truck and not the back. I could see 3 or 4 empty fertilizer bags in the truck that he had fertilized almost 100 lawns with. I called him down on this and he said it doesn't take much it shoots out 20 feet. Sure does all over my driveway and not the yard. At one time he yelled at me and told me to listen to him, excuse me. I am an adult woman and you are not talking to a child. He finally calls his boss and repeats everything I'm saying to him on the phone to his boss. I finally drove away and came home and called our HOA president. All this man had to say to me is you are on a list and we'll get it taken care of and fertilize your yard. I was apparently not the only resident that had spoken to him that day because he made a comment about there must be something in the air today that was setting us off. All I can say is this man needs to be fired for his actions because he shouldn't be allowed to be in a position to deal with the public. Needles to say they make about two trips across your yard and put fertilizer on about half of it. No wonder our yards look like crap. He didn't even put the first application on our yard and wasn't going to do the second. Run as fast as you can from this company. I am sure they will be loosing our business soon. read more
