Had a styling, makeup application and eye lashes - the styling was amazing. It stayed in place for a day! And my hair dos not curl. It looked amazing and I got lots of compliments. Makeup application felt good and worked well for my event. I didn't love the lashes and removed them before the event. Would have preferred the baby lash add in versus the whole glam lashes...just not for me. I didn't think about the need to ask to scale it back, so that's on me. Unsure of what alternate options would be available. read more

BAM | blowouts and makeup - Plano - Legacy West - Blow Dry/Out Services Near Me - Plano, Texas

I recently visited BAM Legacy West for both hair and makeup services for a wedding, and unfortunately, it was a complete waste of time and money. Let's start with the hair. The stylist who worked on my hair was friendly, but the service felt rushed. She left the clips in my hair to set while I had my makeup done, which was totally fine, but when she removed them, my hair was left looking incomplete. It wasn't properly finished, but the stylist had already moved on to a new client and I actually had to ask the receptionist if my hair was done. She seemed to question it as well so she called over another stylist to help fix it. At that point, I was already at the checkout, so the situation felt a bit unorganized. As for the makeup, the artist was lovely and pleasant, but it became clear there wasn't a standardized process for makeup application. I specifically mentioned that I have oily skin, yet she started with moisturizer she already had in hand and then immediately applied foundation, which felt a bit counterproductive. I also noticed some odd layering techniques--cream products were applied, then set with powder, followed by more cream products on top, which caused my makeup to break down almost instantly. While the artist's skill set seemed fine, the way the products were applied didn't work well for my skin. I didn't have the time to ask for a touch-up, but even if I had, the amount of product layered on would have made it impossible to fix. All in all, I left feeling like the services were disjointed and lacking attention to detail. I had hoped for a polished and cohesive experience, but it fell short in both the hair and makeup departments. My makeup was not salvageable (had to rush home to take off). I will say as I looked around, there just seems to be varying skill levels of stylists, which I wish I would have known. Some of the clients looked phenomenal, but perhaps knew who to ask for read more

Thee viron roe gave me the most amazing blowout I've ever had!!! Fantastic technique and a true artist!! Thank you for making my day!!

I came here excited to have a blowout for my birthday, but this didn't turn out as expected. I've had blow outs before and they've been amazing, but I feel I could have saved my money and do a better job myself. I paid extra for the scalp massage which wasn't bad, not great either. She asked me if I wanted some volume and I said yes. I told her I wanted soft, romantic curls. She dried my hair and then curled it with the curling iron. First of all as you can see in the picture- my part isn't even straight down the middle. It's crooked. It looks greasy and it was super sticky. I did ask for hairspray just didn't know it would be extremely sticky. She asked if I wanted her to comb through the curls or let them fall on their own. I said let's have them fall on their own. They fell alright... didn't last a long time. She never showed me the back when I was there. I'm overall disappointed as this was not my expectation. read more

On 10/21 booked appt for myself and friend. Showed up ontime and they sat my friend down to do hers. 30 min passed and the person next to my friend was still there. I told them I did not have time to wait I had somewhere to be and would book with the other blow out in the area. Said they could not do a refund cause "did not know how". My friend had to pay double for hers and they won't give us the $ or an appointment. Called today to be told would not be till Monday to hear back from the GM. Bad service for sure would not go again. Owner said if I take down the review she would take care of me... bribing me with my own money really? read more

I came in today to get my hair and makeup done for engagement pictures. My hair turned out lovely, but the makeup was a little disappointing so that is why I gave this place 4 stars. I'm was quite surprised that they didn't have foundation or concealer that matched my skin tone. The artist had to mix a couple foundations together to try to get close but there was still an orange line on my neckline. The false eye lash application was sub-par at first also, but I went back in and she fixed it. read more

i asked for waves but it was almost done like loose curl which I was still ok. However the style didn't even last an hour. I blamed it to the humid weather. I was fool enough to go back there next and requested a specific stylish who confirmed that she will be still working at my appointment time. When i arrived there she was finishing someone and was almost done but said she cant take me as she is going home and told me ththat she has explained everything to the stylist doing my hair. So this time i asked for the tight curl so by the even time the curls would still be intact. It didn't look like tight one but i was still happy. She said i put anti humid product and strongest hairspray. But my curl was almost gone when i came to my hotel room. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Love it here - package deals are great!! Super easy to make same day appointments and even weekends their is availability!

They added a $30 surcharge without informing me beforehand, resulting in my daughter receiving two braids for a total of $79. This was a disappointing experience marked by poor service, insufficient communication, and excessive pricing. read more

I tried really hard to like this facility, but everything about it was way below average. The front desk attendant was rude and unprofessional. After we had a little confrontation at check in, she continued to gossip about the situation, pointing, staring and whispering while I was getting my makeup done. When I confronted her at check out she had nothing to say, not even an apology for her rude behavior. The makeup that was done was a 4/5, just because they kept dropping makeup brushes on the floor, but continued to use them without switching/replacing or cleaning them. read more

An easy way to treat yourself just because you don't want to wash your hair, before a date night, or used for a bigger event. I was oddly enough able to get a last minute appointment, but hear they do book up very fast. Lovely esthetic - very posh, little glass of sparkling wine, washed/blowout/finished with curls. LOVED my experience. read more
