Just dropped of my uniforms for work…read more I've been coming here for about a year and a half and they are ALWAYS professional and efficient. Even if it's a last minute thing I forgot about over a long weekend they will always try to accommodate. Very military friendly and located right outside the gate on B street. It is in a small strip mall so you will miss it If you're not paying attention. The prices are affordable too in competition with alterations on post but here it's a little more faster on the return.

Now the bad - don't plan on getting anything altered if you have less than 3 weeks to a month before you are going to wear it; it's that bad. Also, you shouldn't be too hopeful of those alterations being correct and that uniform fitting you. Seriously, it's that bad. Also, you should be ready to pay a good amount of money. I am usually amazed at how much a tailor charges (maybe because when I was 8 my mother just used to do it for free) but this is one of the pricier ones I've been to, civilian or otherwise. Finally, don't expect to be engaged with personable dialogue. Considering how close they are to my body when measuring me, you think it wouldn't be so cold and distant.

We used to use Maria's all the time. We recently took my daughter's wedding dress in to be altered…read more They provided an invoice with the cost at the time of drop off. When I went to pick it up they wanted to charge an extra 175.00 and said they quoted us wrong and it was their mistake, but wanted us to pay it. They did a 5 point bustle loop, the strings for the loops all broke as they did not do a true bustle loop and just used four threads in an arch. They did not reinforce them and they caused a snag from one side of the dress all the way over to the other. Black marks were on the dress from something in their shop as well which unfortunately they had the dress for several months so we could not get it fixed by another professional in time for the wedding. Very disappointing. Very unprofessional customer service as well when we did the second fitting and pickup.

Once I found one, used and off the rack I needed alterations to be ready for my Wedding in 4 weeks. This was absolutely no problem for Karen to get done in time. Karen is honest, kind and knows her stuff when it comes to fabric, body type and reality of how a dress is going to be worn. Can you sit down? Can you eat? Can you dance? Wil it drag? Showing too much cleavage for a Wedding? This was hands down the best experience in alterations I've ever had. Cannot wait to stay connected to this wonderful seamstress for all of my alteration needs. Karen, you're a REAL ONE. Thank you thank you thank you!
