We had a great experience here. Owner was very honest, straight forward and helped us with fitting a vest, pants and shirt for my wife 2 months prior to our wedding. Normally tailors wont take new clients with this short of a timeline but she made it work for us and it turned out great! Thank you thank you, we will return to her if we ever need any other alterations. read more

Blessings Alterations - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Colorado Springs, Colorado

Every time I tried to take something to this shop the owner always has an excuse as to why she can't do it. Sew on a patch, can't do it. Take down the hem of some pants; can't do it. It's amazing how people want your business and 5 stars but don't want to work. No I do not recommend this shop. read more

I am petite and needed a women's pant suit tailored so I looked good for job interviews. The owner, Ok, took the time to mark what needed to be done while explaining why (e.g., crotch too long and drags the clothes out of shape). Her eye for detail is impeccable! She is very knowledgeable and an artisan who deeply cares about the quality of her work. read more

My blouses were tailored beautifully. The owner/ seamstress does excellent work. Her work was completed in a timely manner. She has you try on the apparel to make sure the fit is correct and that you are pleased, read more

Went to see if she could sew a small patch onto my chicago bears hat. Today is Friday. She said it'll be done next Thursday. With all DISRESPECT, GTFOH! I usually go an alterations place near the citadel but i was in this neighborhood. ...NEVER again will i go to this place nor do i recommend anyone does. Check out her NUMEROUS 1 STAR reviews on yelp and Google. This lady is a joke! read more

Oak (the owner and lady who does the work) is exceptional! She is very knowledgeable and has an eye for detail that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere in this city. Furthermore, she is kind, professional, and gives the time necessary to ensure not only that you're happy, but that she is satisfied with various elements most of us know nothing about. Oak provides a wonderful experience and great value. I HIGHLY recommend Blessings Alterations! read more

She altered my daughter's wedding dress and my mother of the bride dress, they turned out terrific! She has a high attention to detail and is determined to make sure everything leaving her store is correct and comfortable. Her prices were very fair. I highly recommend! read more

I chose this establishment because most of the reviews were fairly good. The lady that owns, and the sole seamstress, is a tailor. She can tailor fairly well, so having an establishment that suits her skill is expected. However, being able to tailor alone does not make a good business. If you are younger with limited grit or timid in any way, I highly recommend you take a salty older person with you or pass this place up entirely. She wants to pass as a person wanting to get that perfect fit for you all the while she'll body shame you for you not fitting into what you brought in to be altered. A sweet 20 something, brought in her wedding dress (with her Mom, thank goodness) and this woman actually told the Mom to return the dress because it wasn't the right style or fit for her daughter! The poor girl kept choking back her tears as the tailor literally used her finger to poke at her sides telling her she was too fat. I went in several times for a dress alteration at the time she insisted on and each time she was not finished, telling me to come back in a hour. Also if you do use this establishment do not tell her the date you need it by. Every customer that came in she'd ask when the wedding was and each time she said she'd have it ready two days before the event no matter how many weeks/months it was. 4 stars for her sewing experience, zero stars for her professionalism, body shaming, scheduling, and wishing you'd gone somewhere else. read more

This was a strange experience. Maybe communication was lost in translation, but I found the owner to be snarky, rude, and presumptuous. She kept trying to tell me what she wanted to do to my gown while I was fairly certain I'd be the one wearing the gown, and so was sticking with my preferences. When I asked how much the suggested alterations would be, she gave me a weird lecture about how "if I want to look pretty, I have to listen to her instruction, and I HAVE to pay her". I was like, wut?! Obviously I was intending to pay, just wanted to know what to expect and discern if "her instruction" would cost me more or if my preference would've sufficed. I'm no snowflake, but I was putt off enough with her weird behavior that I ended up using someone else. read more

Waited until 2 weeks before an event to get a dress altered, and got referred to Blessings Alterations. When I tried on my dress on in her shop, she suggested additional alterations to make my dress fit even better. I picked up my dress, and it looked perfect. The cost was very reasonable, and the owner is so nice. I highly recommend Blessings Alterations!! read more

Always happy when I leave the shop! Multiple pairs of my pants over the years have needed to be shortened and when she shortens them she moves the original hem so they don't look altered! Love the details! Will be back for sure soon!! read more

Was referred here & we called to make sure of what was needed. The owner said "No you don't need an appointment just come in" so we did! When we got here we were told we would have to come back as they didn't have time for us & to come at a specific time...but we didn't need an appointment?!! read more

I have never experienced the worst customer service. The owner was not friendly and was very rude! I will not recommend or ever go back. The alterations don't even matter, that's how bad the customer service was. read more

My daughter walked in and told the proprietor that she had a dress that she needed altered and the lady looked at her and just said "no". I understand we're in prom season and the shop is probably busy, but we'll look elsewhere for all our alteration needs going forward. read more

I wish i could give a higher review. While my experience was decent, my dress came out altered nicely and fit as it should, i hate that my bridesmaid had quite the opposite experience. Went to pick up our dresses today. This was scheduled 2+ weeks ago and upon entering the shop, my dress was ready while my bridesmaid's dress was literally still on the table being altered at our pick up time. Bridesmaid was told to come back at 6 p.m. (only 30 minutes later) to pick up the dress. The dress was still not done and my bridesmaid waited 40+ minutes while the seamstress was on her phone, talking with a friend in the shop, etc. When my friend finally tried the dress on she was told "you need to stop eating so much food" 3 times before she paid and left. I wish this was the end... this same friend is also getting married in a couple months and brought her wedding dress in a couple weeks ago to see if she could get it altered here as well. The seamstress poked my friend all over her back telling her where she needed to "lose fat" before she could help her. While i would love to leave a higher review for a job well done on my dress, i cannot push aside the experience that I've witnessed with my friend. read more

I had a beloved pair of pants that the zipper broke on and I was not willing to part with them. After requesting 5 different quotes, I found Blessings respond the quickest to my request for a quote and to be the best price and turn around time. All the others wanted $25.00 or more and their turn around time was 2-3 weeks. Blessings was $16.00 and a TWO day turnaround. They were great. Nice, professional, prompt and did a great job replacing the zipper. I am quite please and will return here with all my repair needs. read more

I highly recommend this tailoring and alterations business. I have used this place a couple of times and knew if I took my daughter's prom dress for alterations it would look perfect. The owner is honest, experienced, and takes pride in her work. She is meticulous and pays attention to every detail to make sure whatever you bring her will look amazing on you. Trust is huge when you have someone work on something important to you. I've visited a few places over the years and this business stands out above the rest. Again, the attention to detail and the confidence that the person doing the work only has your best interest is very important. Period. She is one of the few business owners who understands this concept and I will only take my clothes to her. Her ideas are innovative and creative. I have taken a couple of dresses to her that I have had for a while and she transformed them into a more modern and tailored fit that I could not have imagined. You will not be disappointed. read more
