The price point for this cleaning service is definitely in the higher tier. While I am willing to pay a premium, I expect a corresponding level of professionalism. Unfortunately, both cleaners arrived approximately an hour and a half late. Had punctuality been the only issue, I might have overlooked it, but I then discovered that dishes would not be washed. It is unacceptable to pay $200 for a 1/1 cleaning and not have the dishes included. The quality provided is closer to a $50-$75 service, and I do not intend to use this company again read more

Sadly during my cleaning they caused significant damage to my butcher block kitchen countertops using an abrasive cleaner that was not appropriate for the material, and when I reached out they refused to take any responsibility for the damage they caused. We booked BHC for a move out service. My landlord was not fully pleased with the result, so BHC came back and recleaned the whole house a week later at no cost (way past the 24 hours)! We got the deep cleaning service for a three story row house, with a house cat that can shed a lot. Things had kind of gotten out of hand. I needed to book a quick turnaround service before my family arrived for the holiday with white gloves and lots of judgement in tow. The cleaner was on time, friendly, and efficient. The house looks brighter, I don't have to feel shame about my bathrooms, and I can practically see myself in the hardwood floors. Our cat, however, was deeply disappointed to see that her hard work marking everything had been erased, I'm sure she'll still try to remedy that before the holiday season... I have had great monthly cleanings with BHC for years. Everyone who came to my home was professsional, friendly and did a great job. Recently, I had a bad experience with a move out cleaning and initially had a difficult time getting a response from BHC. However, I did eventually receive a resolution, with a partial refund for the move out cleaning and a free one time deep clean at my new house. I felt this was a fair resolution and the customer service response, once received was polite, professional, sympathetic and understanding. Easy to schedule but the company does a shotty job, particularly for the price. I had a standard cleaning with fans skipped, a tub still dirty and floors and counters still with dried milk on them (we have kids). Plus, they dont actually mop. They spray the floor with a spray bottle and move it around with a dry flat broom. Cutsomer service reached out once and offered to reclean problem areas and then stopped responding after I asked for a refund. Defintely would not reccomend. read more

I hired Baltimore Home Cleaning because I needed something rather last minute on a weekend. I will never book with them again. I want to say that the two women they sent to clean did an excellent job. HOWEVER, the pricing is deceptive. I have gone through their whole website, the price is based off of labor hours. I had a quote that said I was paying for 3 hours, but after an hour and a half I had to pay an extra $50 for another hour. I spoke with the manager Chris who while not rude, did nothing to try to rectify the situation. He talked like I should have known -- but their pricing in the quote is based on a base price for standard house cleaning and then the size of your home. If I had known it would be priced this way, I would have looked elsewhere. I don't mind their pricing model, to be clear. I just prefer transparency in pricing models. If you're going to say 3 hours is really 1.5 hours in real time because you are sending two people, just let me know. Then you don't get a two-star review. TLDR: They are getting two stars because the cleaning was wonderful, but in terms of price transparency, they are awful. Also note to management, a lot of your website is currently not functional. read more

BHC lacks the integrity and professionalism of any company deserving of support. ---- Please see attached videos of supervisor threatening to cause bodily harm to a customer, screaming "f-ck you" and using profane gestures in a quiet neighborhood. Using this company was the worst decision I could have made I honestly don't understand how they have such great reviews. I hired this company for a "Move In, Move Out" the day before I was scheduled to move into a property that needed deep cleaning. The crew sent out did not complete one third of the checklist advertised for this service. This company is a scam. I cleaned up behind the crew and showed them all of the dirt and grime they left behind and was met with huffing and puffing. I expressed my concerns (and sent photos) to a manager and asked for a full refund as I would take my hard earned money and pay another company more professional and capable of meeting my cleaning needs. Manager Chris told me the best he could offer was a partial refund and insisted that a supervisor and new crew could come out and rectify any cleaning concerns I had. A very aggressive and hostile supervisor was sent out to my home and was very provoking. She tried to instill fear in me and intimidate me. As I described to her my concerns she combated everything I said and was very argumentative. I asked her why she insisted in having a back and forth exchange with me. Finally she proceeded to say "f-ck you", she won't be sending anyone out to my home. I told her I wanted a full refund (which they should have just given me to begin with) and she told me she wasn't "giving me sh-t" and to "f-ck my dirty as- house." Ummm. Duh! Why do you think I hired your company before I moved into the home? The supervisor was very spiteful and threatened to physically harm me by "whipping my as-." I seriously cannot make this up. Please watch the videos uploaded. How can you send an individual like this out to the home of a customer who has expressed dissatisfaction with services received, and rightfully so. Plenty of times this company told me there was a misunderstanding among the crew with what they should have done and this particular supervisor even told me that they often have to "get on Chardae" (one of the workers) about her sweeping skills. After this supervisor left, I spoke with manager James who apologized and told me that they carefully vet their staff. This clearly cannot be so. I'm sure this is not the first time this supervisor has been very nasty and aggressive with customers. She needs customer service, de-escalation, and conflict management training. This supervisor was not professional or level-headed at all. She is ill-equipped to handle customers who are dissatisfied with services and is unnecessarily defensive. She is very conflict-orientated and initiated an argument with a customer by using offensive and violent gestures, disrespecting personal space, and shouting and cursing to them. James assured me that I would get a full refund and would still send a crew to finish the poor job the first crew did. I sent James video footage of the supervisor and he called to say that in the best interest of his company he could not send anyone out, but would still refund me. Even though he already stated that someone would still be assisting me. James told me it is unclear who initiated the argument. Baltimore Home Cleaning you cannot negate the fact that your supervisor threatened a customer and was very violent and used profane gestures. This is the type of people this company stands behind. On top of poor quality of services, they have poor customer service. Maybe this company picks and chooses who to mistreat, but as you can see this supervisor had an issue with me being a younger woman, constantly calling me a "little girl." This was reflected in her initial aggression upon entering my home and her condescending nature when I asked questions about their unclear service practices. Most of this could have simply been avoided if they just refunded me completely the first time I expressed concern. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. PAYING FOR BHC SERVICES WAS THE WORSE DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE. THIS HOME WAS NOT DEEP CLEANED AND APPROPRIATELY DISINFECTED FOR A NEW PARTY TO MOVE IN. USE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I asked for the $300 deep clean. There was a significant amount of things missed the first time and I took pictures and let the management know. They kindly responded and sent another team today. The second team did a significantly better job but still missed a large part of the dusting spots and clearly did not "polish my furniture" or "dust all decorations" like they said they would, and I paid for with the deep clean. I used Baltimore Home Cleaning for a move out clean for my rental property. I saw several great reviews about the company and was expecting to get great results for the amount of money I paid. I was quoted for 4 hours to clean a 3 bedroom/ 1 bath unfortunately BHC only stayed for about an hour and I discovered several areas in my home that were left uncleaned.
