We decided go on the Black Arts district tour and I am so happy that we did. Although I live in the city and very close to some of the areas covered, there were so many new things that I learned about Baltimore. It made me even happier about deciding to call this city HOME. We started out by the harbor and toured all the way to the Arts district learning so much during the ride. It was fun getting a chance to stop in to local merchants and businesses. My favorite stop was definitely the Arch Social Club. There is so much history in Baltimore. The architecture of this beautiful city phenomenal. Our guide Keisha is so informative and made the tour extremely FUN! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a great workout in and learn more about this beautiful city. Thank you Bike and Brunch for a wonderful event !

Tour itself could use a few more stops/interesting sights. This one focused on Frederick Douglass however it was just at the last 2 stops that he was spoken about and there wasn't quite as much background & history as we'd expected. Appreciated being given a generous discount for a lack of communication that had occurred a prior time we were in town and hoping to ride. We were given another discount code for future use by way of apology for this tour starting 45 minutes or more late. So a bit more content, few more stops and an on time departure would make this a perfect afternoon. Also details regarding parking in the area would be helpful.

It was not easy to find a bike shop, but I am glad I found Baltimore Bicycle Works. The bikes were top notch, easy to operate, and well-maintained. I brought my own helmet and lock to save some money, but they rent them as well. We rented for a "loose" 24 hours. That was much appreciated so we didn't have to worry about the exact timing of return. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you plan to eat a lot while in Baltimore, like I did, you can offset those calories with biking, and have a great time doing it. The only drawbacks were locating the shop, finding bike lane streets, and the need to carefully consider where you are riding and where to safely lock up your bike. That may sound like a lot- but IMHO, there is crime everywhere. We can limit our experiences because we live in fear, or we can venture forth with reasonable caution. We locked up the bikes for hours while visiting both the aquarium and the museum of art without issue. So seize the day.

He even let my two year old hold a tool and pretend to help when his patience ran thin. I left the shop with my bike in better shape than ever. Will be back.
