Balmari Rooftop was so cute and conveniently right around the corner from our Airbnb. We loved it so much that we ended up coming here twice--we actually canceled a reservation somewhere else just to come back. My honey tried the duck tacos, which were delicious and surprisingly filling. We also tried a few drinks from their cocktail menu, which I loved because each drink has its own little poem. Such a cute touch. My absolute favorite was the Nube, which translates to "cloud," and the name fits it perfectly. It was so light and smooth that you almost forgot you were drinking alcohol... but it definitely creeps up on you. The first time we came was for lunch, and they were playing great music, which was honestly one of the biggest reasons we chose the place. Great music, drinks, food, and a really cute rooftop vibe. The only hiccup was that the water wasn't working when I went to use the restroom, so the toilet wouldn't flush. I had to step out and let someone know, which was a little embarrassing. Thankfully it was only a quick tinkle after officially breaking the seal from all those cocktails. Overall, we had such a good time that we came back twice, so that should tell you everything. Escaping from the rain on Saturday night 06/23/2026, we were looking for a rooftop bar for dinner, just found this based on the Google and Yelp Reviews, We didn't have any reservations , we were informed by the hostess that the wait time is around 40 minutes but they said we can sit by the bar and order some drinks until at tables become available. Good thing is that they have the drink menu in both Spanish and English and bartenders were also very amiable and helpful in providing drink recommendations. So my guest wanted to try some authentic Mexican drinks and the bartender recommended Paluma ( grapefruit juice and tequila with the salty rim) I requested to see if they have any reposado or aneno tequila available and the bartenders were kind enough to let my guest test some before her order, she went with Margaritas with pineapple juice, reposdo tequila (sorry forgot the brand's name) and lemon juice. There was something in the ice of the drink that we asked the bartender and he removed it. It would be recommended to make a new drink in this type of situations. Once the table became ready the hostess let us know we were seated on our table, we ordered food and it came out real quick. Batti our server was very attentive and took the order with extra care, the service was very fast and the staff were very friendly. We had such a good time there. Highly recommend. They also have a Dj playing which make the ambiance very pleasant. read more

Server watched us put our card in, took our card and claimed she lost it. We will not be returning. Server was extremely sweet but management was not helpful. They refused to show us the camera angle above our table and said it wouldn't help. What's the point of having cameras if you're not going to use them to assist with issues? Thankfully we cancelled the card so this business can't use it if they happen to "keep" customer cards on a regular. Thankfully this bar isn't popular or recommended anywhere we look. We walked past them and decided to go in. Our gut told us from the lack of people and vibes that it wasn't a good place to be then started looking up better places to go while waiting for our drinks that took 30 minutes to come out. Great late night vibes at Balmori Rooftop! We got there around 9pm and grabbed a table. The staff were very welcoming and seated us right away. My friend had been here several times so he took over ordering for the table. I did get the salmon and it came veggies. I wasn't fond of the food, but everything was great. They had a few selections of mocktails and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The restaurant is also nicely decorated and serves as a great spot to have drinks with good people. read more

Lovely rooftop in Roma Norte! We went around 4:30 pm on a Saturday, and it was easy to find a table; I'm not sure if it's usually like that, so I would recommend booking a table if you don't want to risk it! We went for some drinks and ended up getting some food. We had a four-cheese pizza that was SO GOOD, small, and perfect to share! We also ordered a fresh salad and some flor de jamaica al pastor tacos, an exciting dish. They replaced the meat from el pastor for hibiscus flower, which was very tasty and different! We had some drinks and enjoyed the excellent music! The whole roof opens up and gives it a really lovely vibe! The service was super warm and friendly! Came here to have drinks before a walking tour. We enjoyed our drinks, and one appetizer and there was a DJ playing very chill music. Nice rooftop bar, but I suspect it gets really crowded during the dinner rush and at night. A large group of tourists was getting there when we left, so our 4 pm start time was perfect for the rooftop to be less crowded. read more

Drinks only: great rooftop space. They can close and open for shade or sun. It's only on the second/third-ish floor, it's not that high up to have any sort of view. Drinks were good. Get a craft cocktail- they can make you almost anything. And it tasted good! Tons of things to choose from at the bar. We didn't try the food- maybe next time! read more

Very beautiful rooftop bar with a hip ambiance. They have a full page for vegan dishes. The food was super tasty with unique flavors and the craft cocktails were thoughtful. The service was very nice, attentive and helpful to us tourists. The menu is all in Spanish & not really a tourist place. The crowd seemed to be more of upper class locals with their leather laptop bags, pea coats, high heels, ordering bottles of wine etc. The price was on the higher side but well worth it. read more

We ordered the mezcal drink, which says it had habanero in it, but when it came to the table it was straight sugar syrup. Could not taste any alcohol. The drinks took 20 minutes to get to our table. Great rooftop but making a reservation is very tricky. You cannot make a reservation on the phone or in person for Friday-Sunday, which is incredibly frustrating (and strange) because they force you to do it through Instagram or Facebook. If you're all about not getting profiled based on your social media, you're out of luck here. There's probably a good reason for this. You could make a last-minute reservation and get accepted, despite your mate getting rejected having tried to make one weeks in advance. Zero transparency or logic. tldr; It's a great place if you've no problem getting profiled when you try to reserve a spot. read more

This place is so underrrated! We planned on stopping for one drink on a Sunday night, after tasting our first drink we couldn't resist ordering more. Everything that the server recommended was on point, he was also super nice and welcoming. The pineapple habanero margarita could be the best drink in Roma. We ordered food and it was equally good for a place you would assume only good for drinks, we were pleasantly surprised that the food was equally as good. I wish that I lived in Mexico City just so I can go to this bar again. We stopped here for a quick drink and was pleasantly surprised by it. I can't say that I've tried the food (hence why I want to come back), but the drinks were pretty solid. The atmosphere was the best thing about this place. When we arrived, the roof was covered and everything was closed up (it was a bit of a windy day), then suddenly the roof slides out and suddenly we're under the beautiful sun. I was not expecting that at all. Opening up the rooftop really made a difference on the atmosphere. read more

I went to Balmori to try a new place! Overall it was really good. The service can improve! The food some was good some was ok! The tacos of duck were my favorite. All the cocktails I had were really good. Try all the ones that say Balmori. I didn't like the octopus it didn't taste that good. The DJ was great! It is a good bar. read more

overall I wouldn't recommend but I'll break out my review into categories: Drinks: 5 stars Our group of 6 all loved our drinks. They were all tasty, creative and aesthetically beautiful. Food: 2 stars It wasn't "bad" but it wasn't great either. We all ordered entrees and shared a couple of apps (more on that later...) nothing really stood out. Venue: 2 stars We sat at a shared table and there was very little space for each person and/or the plates/drinks. Also one side of the table seating was a bench so it was uncomfortable since no back and awkward to move. This place is listed as a rooftop bar but the shades weren't pulled back until half way through our meal (it was a beautiful day so not sure why?) Service: 0 stars There's various different staff members here and it doesn't seem like they communicate well with each other. One person takes your drink order, another your food, various other people drop off/pick up from the table. An item we ordered didn't arrive so we just assumed they didn't put the order in the kitchen or just forgot. No biggie since we ordered a bunch of food regardless (and the food wasn't amazing so whatever). When the bill arrived and we saw that missing item was on the bill we brought it to the attention of the server. She insisted it was delivered to the table. I tell her it didn't. She then goes to the kitchen and brings out the item we ordered to show me what it looks like. This was a bit condescending because I'm well aware what the item looks like. I repeat to her that we didn't get it. Then the manager comes out. She tells the server to "speak to me slower b/c he (me) doesn't seem to understand"...I couldn't believe this! I speak fluent Spanish. I repeat that it never arrived and then she says, "I have no problem taking this off your bill but it will be deducted from the servers wages...." I couldn't believe what I was hearing! First of all, that's a horrible thing to do to your staff. Second of all, why are you trying to guilt trip me for something that wasn't my fault. Regardless, I tell them both to figure it out..... They end up bringing out an updated receipt with the item removed. Such a ridiculous ordeal over a measly 180 peso food item. Really nice rooftop restaurant. We ordered a chopped up steak over guacamole dish to be made into tacos, and a risotto with prosciutto dish between two people. The food was delicious. We also had the apple B drink which was delicious as well. Overall a very nice experience! read more
