When you're playing Barcelona you never see the ball, but when you're playing Peterhead, you see the Balmoor. Also, aren't the Ravens, the Orioles, and the Riots all from Balmoor? Ray Lewis in the house. Terrell Suggs. Yay.
First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - sadly I've never seen a game at this stadium live, but I've been inside, and taken pix, and I was pretty impressed by the facility despite how tiny it is. It's way up on the coast in the freezing cold and it's a great little town. I was here in both 2011 on tour and 2014 as a tourist. The second time was when I went inside (I wasn't supposed to). Way out in the middle of nowhere and a nightmarish away trip for fans or teams.
So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in Scotland I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space!

So this stadium is just north of the town centre, a full 32 miles from the nearest train station, which might explain why away fans never come to this freezing stadium. They do have nice facilities here, it was built as recently as 1997, but the place only holds 3k people. It became an actual Scottish League ground back in 2000. read more
