    Raspberry jelly filled donut
    Kelly S.

This place is a gem for brunch lovers! I ordered the raspberry jelly donut (so fresh and fluffy), a garlic & Parmesan bagel with regular cream cheese (perfectly toasted with just the right savory kick), and a small Nutella mocha--which was rich, chocolatey, and hit the spot. I grabbed a seat by the window and really enjoyed the relaxed vibe while I ate. Service was quick and easy--they gave me a beeper so I could chill until everything was ready. One thing I appreciated was the spacious seating area. It started to fill up fast, but it never felt cramped--a big plus, especially in Queenstown where many breakfast spots can be pretty small or crowded. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and craving a cozy, satisfying brunch.

Crème brûlée doughnut was great! Thin layer of caramelized sugar on top with a good amount of cream in the center. Tasted very light and airy. I'm glad I only got one because I would have eaten every one that I could. People were nice. Coffee was good and they have a water station which is always nice.

Grilled Cheese Bagel Sandwich and Falafel Bagel Sandwich

This is the best place in Queenstown to have Donuts and Bagels. It has a spacious ambience and is suitable for groups. The service was quite quick as it was crowded. We have ordered Oreo filling Donut and Vanilla Passion Donut. Both turned out to be really good that we ordered the same once more. We also ordered their hot bagel sandwiches and they were also extremely delicious. Loved the Falafel Bagel Sandwich. A must try place in Queenstown.

Pretty sure Balls and Bangles appears on nearly every Queenstown Travel Guide, and they deserve to! Within the US, gourmet donuts are a 'big deal', there are ample shops, ample styles with crazy toppings, but Balls and Bangles impresses beyond our gourmet donut experience. Their base donuts were light, fluffy, reliable delicious 'warm the soul' eats (they offer the standard plain glazed, jelly inside, cream inside, or flavored icing on top). The special donuts take the average basic donuts and enhanced them with loaded topping combinations and unique stuffings (usually inserted via syringe). What was excellent was the balance of the inside stuffing and outside toppings creating a sweet treat without being overpowering. We shared the morning treat (boston cream style inside, topped with a waffle, bacon, & candied sugar) & cookies and cream (creamy fluff inside, topped with Oreos, more cream, and a syringe of Nutella) On our second visit, we shared the fruity pavlova (creamy fluff inside, topped w.a fruit compote, coconut, and fresh fruit chunks). Plus savory salmon rosemary sea salt bagel arugula sandwich and the pulled pork breakfast bagel sandwich. Everything was drool worthy, crave again delicious. Made fresh each morning, the flavors were strong and tasty. Not to forget to mention, everything is extremely well priced for the heartiness.

TLDR: likely the best bagel I have ever had. I came here for breakfast a few days ago. The choice of Bagel Sandwiches is great and was absolutely amazing. The coffee came out quickly and was delicious. I didn't have any of the donuts, but their selection looked spectacular (beating any of the famous places in the US). Highly recommend eating breakfast or lunch here.

So delish!! My friend and I had bagel sandwiches AND doughnuts. I. Was. Not. Ready. Soooo good!

    salted caramel donut

I got a salted caramel donut and it was overly sweet, sickly sweet. However, they had a variety of fancier, beautiful looking donuts inside and seating too. While I did not enjoy my donut, the workers were friendly and I was told the vanilla cream donut is not as sweet.

We recently spent our honeymoon in Queenstown and found this place on Instagram months before dour trip. Wow it definitely lived up to our expectations!! All the treats and food was outstanding. From the amazing donut selection to their breakfast sandwiches, we always left extremely full, but 100% satisfied. If you are traveling from out of town and interested in grabbing a donuts, do not pass this place up!

Fun spot- crazy donuts and huge bagels for foodies looking for a quick breakfast. Prep was slow, but my server made it with lots of love. I had the chicken salad- not Mind blowing, but necessary for my hangover.

Got some donuts to go! Look how good they look.

Really fun shop for coffee, donuts and bagels - this is a must-stop in Queenstown on your visit. The owners but a lot of creativity into the menu and everything is made from scratch. I've ate here lots of times. For breakfast/lunch - breakfast bagels and build-your-own bagel sandwiches are fantastic. Bagels are made fresh each morning. My favourite is the roast pork with bacon and applesauce on a Rosemary And Sea Salt Bagel. They use high end coffee beans from Orb, a New Zealand Coffee roaster. Really good long blacks! Afternoon and evening - they still have bagels, but this time of day is all about satisfying your sweet tooth! The donuts (balls) are the filling-style donuts with lots of crazy toppings. My favourite is the snickers (like the candy bar). The new Oreo milk shake is good too. Also, they have milk shakes that have lots of crazy toppings. The Hospital Pass is over the top with chocolate! You get to keep the mason jar glass too as a keepsake to take home. Overall, can't go wrong! Stop by on your trip!

interesting donut concepts with syringes for filling, love the concept and also love the donuts. Make sure you bring your camera to this location b/c it super cute and picture worthy. We happen to step upon this gem when we were walking around the neighborhood.

Very rude staff. Good food, get ready to feel unimportant…read more Menu shows a fish option for dinner. Item did NOT indicate that it was breaded when other items clearly note "crumbed" or fried. Item arrived, deep fried and breaded. Okay - not the end of the world. Maybe it's my own mistake... here's where it gets nuts.... I told the waiter about the issue, said I don't mind even paying for the item because maybe my kids will eat it, but could I please order some grilled chicken instead. First, his response when I OFFERED TO PAY for an item that was ultimately their own miscommunication was "okay, good." Like, good, you SHOULD pay for this item. But then he proceeds to roll his eyes and get visibly upset that I asked to order (and pay for) an additional item that was grilled. I'm not a cheapskate, was even giving the benefit of the doubt that this could've been customer error (it wasn't, but let's just take ownership here, right?). But then to get visibly shamed by the waiter, not a single apology or helpful manner, just frustration and irritated behavior. So, I sent a note to them on instagram about the menu and the experience as I didn't want to just leave a review. They view the message, never reply or acknowledge. So, it tells me a lot about how they run their business. Funny thing is, we are there for breakfast and then came back for dinner. The food was good, but do NOT come here for service. We're easy going, not looking for a freebie, just wanted food AS LISTED on the menu. The waiter at one point came back and said "you know it's fried but still gluten free, right?" I acknowledged and said "yes, but it isn't about the gluten, I'm just not interested in fried fish." He became even more irritated because he felt I was being difficult by wanting to eat cleaner. That's WHY we wanted to eat here in the first place, because it IS SUPPOSED to be cleaner! Anyhow, I can see by recent reviews that this place is going downhill with the service. I get it, people can be difficult, but don't shame customers that are polite and trying to do the right thing. We've been in restaurant service before, I know it's tough; but also, level up and take responsibility and check the ego at the door. PS: Turkish Eggs with Brekkie were out of this world delicious.

Full disclosure they told me upfront that it would be about a 30min wait once my order was placed and it took about that much time. No biggie, we are on island time! I ordered coffee, chili egg toast with bacon and a side of fries. All were delicious but it was entirely too much food for one person. I could have done without the tasty fries. I would recommended you try this place but be patient or choose another spot if you're in a hurry. High recommend you give it a try!

We were seated fast and ordered 2 coffees and pancakes with a pastry. My biggest standout were the pancakes, I'm a simple guy who likes my pancakes and they were oh so fluffy, chewy, dense and honestly that filled me up surprisingly a lot because I wasn't expecting them to be so big. They put real cherries and cream on top. The serving sizes are definitely generous. I recommend them for their breakfast and coffee, especially for the central location, great view and seating areas.

I ordered my go-to breakfast item, which is their Vudu Benedict ($30NZD), along with a cup of their Housemade Lemon Honey Ginger ($6). You order at their counter in the middle of the shop, and then they give you a number to take to your table. The tea came out pretty quickly, and the benedict followed maybe about 10 minutes after. The benedict was good, and while there was only 1 egg, the whole thing stuffed me for hours afterwards. The bread at the bottom was definitely the most filling part, and I was struggling to finish it all. They had a glass display with various bakery items, and they looked so good I was so tempted to get something even though I was stuffed from the benedict. If I ever come back to Queenstown I would definitely be coming back here to try some of those bakery items.
