The stadium is wonderful, as are its employees. Interestingly, the hometown fans were also pretty cool -- unlike their Yankees counterparts. ;-) The worst part of my experience here was getting into the car after the game and learning that my wife bought $75 in Cards gear. Go figure. Tickets here are reasonable. Concessions are likely to give you a virus. It's no different than most other venues. If you live nearby, this home team is a must. If you're traveling, make it a point to stop here. I wasn't quite turned into a Cardinals guy, but my experience here made it damn hard to hate them.

The crack of the bat, the whomp of the ball in the catcher's glove, I heard it all. I've been to several MLB games and these AA games are a great substitute. This is a really nice college baseball stadium where the University of Missouri baseball team plays…read moreits home games. It's not large and seats maybe 2,000-3,000 fans. About half of the seats, mostly the lower seating, but especially along the third base line which is where Mizzou's dugout is, are actual club seats. The rest, which are mostly the higher seats as well as some seating down the lines are bleachers. Personally, even though I've lost feeling a time or two, I actually like the higher up bleacher seats a little more than the club seats. Sitting higher up gives you a little bit better view of the ball field, especially in the outfield. Regardless of where you sit, or even if you want to stand on the porch behind the third base seats, where I hear they sell beer, you'll be able to see the action on the field just fine. One small note about the playing field, as of the winter of 2018, the infield is Astroturf and the outfield is Kentucky blue grass.

I told them i enjoyed camp, but we didnt get to play enough baseball. So, the next two years they Sent me to Mickey Owen Baseball School. I knew Mickey. I got homesick and one night Mickey and and mrs. Owen let me watch TV with them. I went on to letter all four years in high school and received a scholarship at Kansas State. For someone who loves baseball, this is the place to get better. You learn how to play the game right. You typically play two games a day. You will come back on top of your game. I epitomized "The Sandlot", but I really learned how to be a baseball player at Mickey Owen's Baseball School. Did you know Joe Girardi went there?

(Finding it's not that hard; follow the casino and historical marker signs and be patient. It's only about a mile off the main drag.) I only got to see part of this 31 acre park, but what I saw was great--several picnic shelters, BBQ pits, kids' play structures (including one with a mini rock-climbing wall! photo pending), and baseball diamonds. A great place to relax, watch a game, or meet friends. TRIVIA: This park is on the National Registry of Historic Places, and from its high point, you can see the start of the Santa Fe Trail.

This came to a saddening surprise when I pulled up with tennis balls and rackets to find just a pickle ball court. Otherwise they have many double rimmed basketball courts and have something for everyone!
