I brushed it off, but when I came in today to pick it up, the service was even worse. I greeted the employee and explained that I was there to pick up a corsage I had ordered over the phone. You would think the next logical step would be to ask for my name, but instead, she brought out a full flower arrangement and insisted that was what I had ordered. Another employee joined in, and both told me I hadn't ordered a corsage. When I looked at the invoice, the arrangement didn't even have my name on it...it belonged to someone else! Only after I pointed this out did they check again and find the corsage under my name. Corsage quality for $65 also did not meet expectations. Mistakes happen, but the lack of professionalism and the way I was treated were unacceptable. I did mention to the lady that whoever it was that took my order yesterday was rude and had an attitude. I've been a loyal customer for years, but something has changed. Clearly they don't value customer service or satisfaction. In reading other recent reviews it seems that "attitude" is a recurring issue that's not being addressed.

Jory's Flowers in Concord, CA, on the other hand, offers beautiful, healthy, and substantial arrangements for virtually the same price, if not better. I've ordered from Jory's several times and have always been pleased with their service and quality. Because of my busy schedule, I rarely have the chance to order in advance, but they always accommodate my same-day requests with ease. Just yesterday, on my 14th anniversary, I called Jory's and spoke with Nicole, their designer. I explained how busy I've been with work and family life, especially since my kids just started school and their soccer schedules are crazy. I needed something special delivered to my wife at work before she got off at 12:30 PM. Even though it was 10 AM when I called, Nicole assured me, "Don't worry, I got you." I placed the order online, and she immediately got to work. The flowers were delivered on time, and my wife was ecstatic--she even sent me a picture of the beautiful arrangement. When they finally arrived, I was greeted with a "Sorry." The flowers were beautiful and so was the amber tone mosaic vase. (I am still enjoying the vase now filled with some dried fall flowers.) But here is where things get a bit strange. When I was rinsing out the vase, I noticed two stickers on the bottom. One said Mervyn's $39.99 and the other said Goodwill $8.99. Mervyn's closed many years ago so today's retail value of the vase would be much more. Who knows how it ended up at Goodwill and then made its way to Jory's. I don't have an issue with recycling from thrift stores. I do it myself. What was very odd to me was Jory's did not take a minute or two to remove the stickers. Very tacky. This would have been a five-star review if the flowers had arrived on time and in a vase that did not show its thrift store origins.
