(I realize that sounds like a promo line, but it's the truth) On a recommendation from a fellow party planner, I contacted CPR in December for an event and was totally pleased with how easy it was to work with them. Granted, I only needed tables so my order wasn't complicated, nor did I need a consultation, but from the moment I phoned them, it was smooth sailing. Amanda took my order and sent me an invoice almost immediately after speaking with me; I picked up the tables the day before the event and returned them the day after. Easy peasy. And the prices are super reasonable, too. With two locations for pick-up/drop-off, it's pretty convenient no matter where you live. In December I used the West End location, but I rented tables again this week and used the Southside one. Southside is their main warehouse/showroom, so if you use the West End, they actually transfer your order there for pick up. I have to give a shot out to Jim (one of the owners), who is just so darn personable! When I popped in to pick up my order on Wednesday, he was super friendly and engaging - I could tell that he takes great pride in his business... as he should! And I got to meet the office pup, too, a two-year old black lab (I'm not a dog person, but he was at least part lab, if not full) who was the sweetest dog ever. I'm not usually a dog person, but I couldn't get enough of this adorable guy. Jim told me all about the walks they take down the street from the showroom, and it was clear this puppy's living the life. I will certainly be using Classic Party Rentals for many events to come!

I decided to do something really big and special for my sons first birthday party. I emailed First Class Balloons on to request a quote for a 8 x 8 balloon arch & 2 columns that would be useful for a minimum of 4hrs outdoors. I did my research and even reached out to other companies who advised their work was not guaranteed for outdoor conditions. First class advised they could do it, provided pricing, and I completed payment over the phone. I confirmed twice via email that this was for a 4 hr outdoor event. On the event date during the set up the gentleman who put everything together left without advising that the work was even completed. Within 10 minutes of his departure the entire bottom sections of the arch were popped and that's when I noticed that this arch that was intended for outdoor use had no structure. It was a string held down by 2 cardboard boxes with bricks inside. I immediately called and text the only number I had available for First Class Balloons SEVERAL times. No answer, no return call. I worked with them previously, and I know they answer calls on the weekends and have access to the business line. I was ignored. The balloons were the decor for the party. It was the statement piece. I spent $440 on ballon decor that was on the ground before my guest even arrived. (One of the selling points was that they will be set up and out of the way an hr ahead of time so in all it was about an hr before the arch was on the ground) I hired a ballon company to be the expert on balloons. You can purchase a ballon column kit from Amazon for $20 and it would have provided structure so that with every wind the pieces were not hitting the ground and popping more. It's obvious these pieces were made for indoor use as it only relied on the helium to keep it standing. A basic google search lets you know helium balloons and heat don't mesh well and it was 90+ degrees and as we all know it was HOT on Sunday. At the end of the day I did not get what I paid for. I sent a lengthy email detailing how upset i was with the quality and all I was told was they events for Capital One and other big name companies and have no problem. I told them I was an event planner on the side and i was asked "why didn't you do The balloons yourself?" Rude, unprofessional, and unworthy of a dime. I'm waiting on a call back from the owner now. I requested 1/2 of my money back but at this point I think i'm entitled to it all.

The girls loved picking out a dress and getting their nails and makeup done with real makeup. The princesses are fantastic! Great voices, high quality costumes, wigs, and makeup. We had Elsa and Anna and they had such a cute entrance with so you want to build a snowman and let it go. We even had one girl a little nervous about the idea of a fashion show (which were the princesses twirling them, showing them how to curtesy, and doing a pose of a princess of choice), but they were super accommodating with her too (not everyone loves the stage!). As a parent, it was great because the princesses and staff handled serving the food and cleanup. I think most of the girls were a little star struck and acted shy, but all gushed afterwards about it being so much fun. If we had more kids, I think I would have opted for an extra half hour, but 1.5 hours was perfect for the crowd we had! My recommendation would be to make sure to remind your guests to arrive right on time, especially if you're having a bigger party! It's a well oiled machine, but it works best when on time!

They also have snacks and drinks available for purchase, which is a nice touch if you're spending some time there with the kids. The customer service was probably one of my favorite parts. They explained everything really well, were available if we had questions, and made the whole process easy. Once you finish your piece, they let you know the turnaround time, which is about a week. Overall, we had a really nice experience, and it was such a fun activity to do with my daughter, I'd definitely come back to paint another piece and excited to see what the future holds with the renovations.

I know the tall ceilings probably didn't help much, but dang was it cold. I had to put my coat on in between outfit changes. Being an event planner myself, it's so nice to know this space is here and I will be sure to keep it in mind for future events.

Erin gave us a tour of the warehouse early on in my planning process and helped me pick out pieces that matched my vision for the day. She was so helpful and flexible and made the whole process really fun! Their warehouse is FULL of tons of furniture and décor pieces. As I moved through the planning process, my vision shifted, and I was able to easily switch out pieces originally picked and add on new items up until very close to the wedding date. Erin also did magic on our signage. I sent her some inspo photos of different types of fonts and she completely nailed it. The signage was a huge part of the day as we were moving from event to event so having the cohesive lettering through it all really tied together. I cannot say enough good things about P&J. The delivery was smooth (hence why vendors knowing the venue is important), staff were always helpful and responsive, the price was absolutely reasonable, and any question I had was answered with grace.
