Everyone was a pleasure to talk to, drill with, and roll with. The mats are high-end, clean, and spacious. The instruction is top-notch. Professor Jeremy clearly loves jiujitsu and teaching, and both of these facts are apparent in his detail-oriented instruction and his well constructed curriculum. I have been back several times since my initial visit (including flying back from Seattle) for both the good training and the good people. I can't recommend training here enough.

I joined Arthur Murray's South Charlotte studio during the summer before my senior year of college…read more I was simply looking for an opportunity to learn some basic social dances and become comfortable in club/formal/cruise settings. I'm very athletic and competitive, but I'd never danced in my life and felt enormous fear in any dance setting. Six months later now, I've fallen in love with dancing, with the beauty of Latin, smooth, and swing music, and my new family at Arthur Murray. South Charlotte's instructors are very talented, patient, and deeply passionate about social dance and enabling each pupil to meet their goals. Lesson plans are perfectly situated to teach new dances and dance combinations while encouraging etiquette and confidence to dance in a social or club setting. Over six months, I've become very comfortable with Rumba, Club Swing, Salsa, and Merengue. I've gained a limited proficiency of FoxTrot, Waltz, Nightclub Two-Step, Triple-Step, and several others. Under their training and mentorship, I've learned to analyze music and discern rhythm. I'm confident being in the center of the dance floor, and dancing in any setting! All this to say that I am a product of the studio and setting I've been taught in. My hugest thanks to Cassandra, Mrs. D, Miss Ana, and Chase! They've changed my life and they have an indisputably monopoly on my friendship and business moving forward!

If you're looking for instructors who genuinely care about children, I highly recommend choosing…read moreThe Little Gym over Perfect Balance. While the monthly cost at The Little Gym may be slightly higher, the overall experience is significantly better. My son is three years old, and like many children his age, listening is still a skill we're working on. I initially thought Perfect Balance would be a great place for him to develop new skills and improve focus. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. During one class, the instructor became visibly irritated when my son got distracted or didn't follow instructions. At the end of class, she had him line up with the other children to receive a stamp for participation. She even dipped the stamp in the ink pad, only to look him in the eye and tell him he wasn't getting a stamp because he hadn't listened. I understand the importance of teaching children accountability, but I strongly believe the instructor's approach was unnecessarily petty and inappropriate for a three-year-old. If she felt it was important for him not to receive a stamp, she could have spoken to me directly. I would have respected that. But having him go through the motions--only to publicly deny him a small reward--felt more like punishment than a teaching moment. Because of this experience, I ended our membership effective immediately. We will continue going to The Little Gym, where the instructors are patient, supportive, and understand that children--especially toddlers--have good and bad days. They work with him, not against him. One final thought for any parent considering Perfect Balance: my son also participates in Soccer Shots, where I regularly see other three-year-olds wander off, lose focus, or struggle to follow instructions. Yet, at the end of practice, those children still receive stamps and stickers--not because they performed perfectly, but because they showed up and tried. Why? Because they're three, they're still learning and that deserves encouragement, not shame.

I had previously looked into a pole fitness class, but none of the other companies really caught my attention until Chateau Wo! Signed up for my free Intro to Pole class, and I'm so glad I did! Our instructor Tiffany was AMAZING! She was super sweet and patient. She made me feel right at home. I was very intimated at first because I didn't want to embarrass myself, especially since this was my first class ever. I was WRONG, and I loved it! Everyone was super supportive, and tbh they were focused on themselves that no one really was looking at me, and even if they did, they were encouraging! I definitely felt sexy and confident and just what I needed! I will be back to attend more classes and definitely keep the momentum going. The music was a vibe. The space is super cute, chic ambiance. I loved that the classes are small (about 6 people/poles), so that way, we do get attention from the instructor to really help and perfect your moves. They have a locker area where you can store your belongings. They offer anything from mints, water, fruit, deodorant, scrunchies, anything a girl may need! This is connected next to a construction business and may look a bit sketch, but I PROMISE you, it's not! Cute outdoor area with a few parking spaces located in the front.
