Bring a mask and headphones for your phone. The doctors are more than competent and the staff is friendly enough. But the facilities are completely inadequate. We needed forms for short-term disability and FMLA filled out. It took over a week and we received copies, not the originals. This was not sufficient for employers. The waiting area is far too small for the patients booked on heavy traffic days. They consistently overbook to try to account for no-shows. But this makes waiting a half-day event. Doctor Roybal is very qualified and efficient. The pre-op and follow-up evaluations were conducted at this Gallup location. Surgery and post-op are held at ABQ Ambulatory Eye Surgery Center and Eye Associates Retina Center in Albuquerque. Front desk staff makes effort to help. Technicians are a little impatient when taking pressures, initial refractions, and photos of the eye. Again, the offices are way too small to conduct all the services needed for eye care. It limits equipment and services. Be prepared for long waits and claustrophobic areas. Take a Xanax before you go if it's a busy day. Be specific with what you want and need as far documents.

They were booked until December (it's mid-August) but they got me in on a cancellation. The office is super easy to find (it's Gallup, after all) and the staff are incredibly nice! I wish my insurance covered more of the visit and at least *some* of my glasses, but that's not the office's fault. I'd definitely recommend Gallup Eye Group to anyone seeking a new eye doc, and I'll definitely be back to see them in a year!
