The airports runway and grounds are well kept and the staff at both the FBO and restaurant have been friendly and helpful each time I've gone. Once you're on the ground, a short walk on a nature trail will lead you to the historical gold rush mining town at Columbia State Park. There, you will find places to eat and shop and if you bring young children (or maybe old ones), they'll have a blast panning for gold. Make sure you try the home-made ice cream and the town's home brewed root beer. Before you depart the airport, make sure to check your weights & balances and the weather. The density altitude leaving could be hazardous to your health.

At no point did they clearly communicate to me that the deposit had to be paid immediately in order to hold the date, or that my confirmed date could be given to someone else. After making the payment promptly, I was shocked to find out that they had given my date to someone else. If there is a specific deadline or requirement for a deposit to secure a date, that should be clearly communicated to the customer before accepting the booking and sending an invoice. I feel the communication and professionalism were extremely poor. I made the payment in good faith after we had confirmed the date, and I should not have been left with the impression that everything was secured if it wasn't. Very disappointing experience, and unfortunately I would not recommend this service based on how this situation was handled.
