My son doesn't drive and needed a way to work today. He called at 8:00 am for a 1:00 pm pickup. Frontier confirmed they would be there. I was not in town, and had my son call to confirm at 1:00 -- full voicemail picked up twice. Finally a human, said they were having trouble with the cars, but they would get him to work by the 2:00 start time. I tried to call at 1:30, full voicemail. Nobody showed, nobody called. I raced home from my event in Modesto and got my son to work an hour late. If one has a company that transports people, it is imperative that they follow through. Stuff happens ... they should have called to allow the opportunity for us to figure out an alternate. Super unprofessional. read more

Called for a pickup. Gave the driver the address and time. Waited outside for pickup. Driver - older man, baseball cap, white beard - drove past me, looking only at house numbers on ONE SIDE of the street. Could not be bothered to see me waving from the driveway. Missed an appointment because driver COULDN'T FIGURE OUT that there are two sides to every street. God, I wish we could get Uber or Lyft up here because both taxi services here are really bad. read more

Only cab company in town. Charges insane prices for short distances. Charged me $40 for a 3 mile drive. And they were 45 min late for the time they said they would be there, this was at 1030 on Thursday morning. If Uber or Lyft are operating that day, I would recommend using them. The drivers are usually friendly though. read more

It's too bad there are very limited choices in Tuolumne County. Thankfully there are a couple Uber drivers around to save the day. On this morning unfortunately there weren't any Uber's around. I decided to go old school and call Frontier Cab since City Cab had crappy reviews. Upon calling and inquiring about the rate of a ride. The guy said 50 dollars... like he was proud to be ridiculously expensive. I've taken the same ride with an Uber driver and it only cost me 21 dollars. I advice people to just download the uber app and save themselves 30 dollars. Or even try asking a friend for a ride.. hell. It will probably be cheaper than trying these guys. last night I called for a ride to take me to work for this mornin. my ride was scheduled for 6:30am I had work at 7am. i was excited to get back to work since I hadn't been working pretty much all week do to the snow storm. The worst cab company ever. They have a monopoly here and think they are angels for only raising they're rates by "10 percent" after the only other cab company went out of business. I guess they cut 50 % off of customer relations at the same time. I felt like a hostage being threatened to be dropped in the middle of nowhere if I breathed wrong. I will walk before I call these guys again. I called for a cab, the person who answered the phone told me ok. Give 30 minutes. I asked will you honk? He said he would but I went and waited outside anyway. He never showed up. When I called again he used foul language and argued with me and told me there were two people ahead of me. He hung up on me. When I called back he was yelling still. I asked is this how you run your business? He yelled F**k you at me and hung up again. Everytime I've used this cab service they have been a minimum of 20 mins late. Sometimes they just don't show up. I've had them actually say, "oh I must have forgot to write that one down." Their only saving grace is their price which is consistent for the most part. read more

Best Taxi company in the area. María was fantastic and super helpful. We used frontier cab everyday for our 3 day stay. We got to our destinations with no problems at all. We were told the total ahead of time. Also super accommodating when we wanted to make random stops like Burger King and Starbucks. You are also able to schedule pick ups and drop off couple days in advance. Thank you again for making our trip less stressful. Definitely recommend Frontier Cab. read more

I appreciate the folks who run these cabs around day and night. The whole 24/7 thing is working for me, because I never know when I might need to get around. While I might not be likely to get a ride really quickly, the drivers are often on time or sometimes early for pickup, which is very nice. And for $12 a trip when I need to go to town, it's working for me. The drivers vary, but are often social and generally happy people. I appreciate their efforts to keep us rolling around town. I called Frontier cab because my son in law was stranded in Sonora without a credit card or cash as he had been airlifted out of Yosemite while backpacking. He needed a ride from the drug store to the hotel. They offered to pick him up and drive him for free! They would not accept a credit card from me. Such a small town kindness is a wonderful testament to humanity. read more

This can company is a joke. Unfortunately, it's only in business because we don't have Uber and all the other companies went out of business. Multiple times, have been left stranded by Frontier. Call a few times to check on update and was only told to be patient as they are backed up. Again, this has happened numerous times. This company from the dispatcher to the driver were very rude to us after getting the cab fare for one way, knowing that their passenger had no other choice but for wait for them to return in order to get home. The passenger was an elderly woman just out of the hospital and was having difficulty with her strength. She had a Drs appointment in the neighboring county. It's a little over 30 miles. At drop off the driver asked what time he needed to be back to pick her up. She said in 45 min. The ride cost $55 one way. She got out early and the receptionist called the dispatcher to let them know she was ready early. They told her it would be another hour. So already they are later than what was requested. At the time of pick up, they did not arrive and the receptionist called to check on their status. They said it would be another hour. The receptionist got the passenger a sandwich as she was not going to make it home for lunch now. I called to ask what the delay was and the dispatcher was not apologetic at all. She said I already talked about this with the Drs office. I said I am a family member and I asked if the driver could see the need for expedient service by how weak she was, she said that's not their problem and hung up on me. They said they were on their way and it took another 40 min to get there. The driver was rude to his passenger when she asked if he could help her in the car and with a grim face, sighed heavily like it was a huge imposition. At arrival he sat in his drivers seat and she had to ask that he please help her out of the car. Again he acted like it was a real hassle. As he drive off he said "I love you with all my heart!" Which was odd and sounded sarcastic. The unprofessionalism of this company is beyond the pale. If this was a young beautiful woman, I wonder if the driver would have been so dismissive? It is common courtesy of any taxi driver to assist their passenger in and out of their vehicle if it is clear they are unable to do so. There is not excuse for this discourteous service and will warn locals that this company does not seem to care about their timeliness or courteous service. read more

In Sonora we don't really have Uber or Lyft's. If you want to go somewhere without driving yourself you most likely taking a cab. We had 3 cab companies to start. Then one got shut and the other remaining two were not the best options so, from the ashes Frontier Cab started. With just one car they where kicking butt, filling in the gaps and starting the company with just one cab on the road. Then one of the other got closed down and abit after that the third original cab company was also shut down. Just leaving the brand new Frontier Cab and their one car with a city to cover all by themselves. The bad review about the super long wait times was right when the other cab company closed, out of the blue. Frontier has always gone above and beyond for us and has never left us high or dry and they now have added new cars and drivers to get to us faster. There legit is nothing bad you can say about them. Now when you call them, they are there ready and waiting. If you need to get from point A to point B not only is Frontier the only option... It's the best option. read more

I have used several different cab companies in Sonora and Frontier Cab is superior to the others. The communication, customer service, and ease of payment are all five stars. When I was waiting for my cab I called for an update on pickup and my call dropped with the driver, he called me right back and communicated his location and approx wait time. Being a female, I felt very safe and secure during my late night cab ride home from the bar. I cannot express enough how important it is to have a company this reliable and secure, and Frontier cab is the way to go. read more

I called Frontier Cab's phone number today around noon for a pick up from a doctor's office. They said it would take somewhere between 30-45 minutes waiting time. Ok, waited for 45 minutes. Then called again. They said that the driver is 10-15 away. I accepted, waited another 20 minutes, called again. This time the operator stated that they don't give out waiting times because customer's wishes and route lengths are unpredictable. Instead of cancelling right there, I gave them a third chance and asked to be picked up within the next 45 minutes or so. Otherwise, the cab order had to be considered cancelled because my spouse could pick me up herself. The operator said that they the cab would be there before the time limit was reached. And, what happened when getting close to the cut off time? Nothing. Called a last time to cancel the order and all the operator could muster was to hang up on me without any comment. I am not clear how they can call themselves a cab service? Ridiculous and unprofessional. My advise: go with the other choice in town! read more

My big brother, whom I haven't seen in over a year, is leaving @ 10am tomorrow morning, last minute notice, and I have yet to be able to see him or give him the clothing and hygiene stuff I got for him because hes got nothing and the only option I have to get to him and then back home is a cab which is, UNFORTUNATELY, you guys... to go from tuolumne to Jamestown and then back to tuolumne, pre paid as a round trip, costs 90$?! PLEASE tell me this is some kind of joke?! And I was told on the phone that since I would be paying in advance for a round trip I would be charged a little less... 80$... ya you definitely meant A LITTLE less!!! This is straight robbery and I'm not happy about it. As of this moment I'm waiting on a call back about whether or not I can get a ride to see my brother for an hour for 60$ instead of 80$...which is still absolutely RIDICULOUS but I love my brother and he needs me and my help right now so I'll be paying it because I have no choice...and that's EXACTLY what your banking on huh???
