Ruby's practice is very welcoming; it is very relaxing and meditative. The practice is located in a beautiful part of Kew Gardens and is very close to LIRR. Ruby is very attentive to the issues you come with and asks a lot of questions about your condition. I have had a combined session of acupuncture and massage. The massage complements the acupuncture and is absolutely worth the extra cost. Ruby is very knowledgeable about the holistic medicine overall. I felt very energized and renewed every time I left her office. After 4 weekly sessions I feel much better and livelier. I will continue my sessions with Ruby whenever I feel like I need one. Highly recommended!

Ruby was extremely pleasant to talk with and gave me some helpful information about my eating habits that will help improve my skin. She started off the session by having William, one of her coworkers, give me a message first. William's massage really helped relax me. After the massage, Ruby started her acupuncture session, and although I am extremely afraid of needles, I didn't feel most of the needles. The ones that I did feel were merely tiny pinches, which really speaks to the expertise of Ruby. I have been to some acupuncturist in which I felt every needle going into me. Within just one week of Ruby's treatment and suggested herbal medication, my skin improved immensely. I am so happy that Ruby's acupuncture clinic is just a block away from me and definitely recommend anyone who is interested in improving their health and wellness to check her out!

I also can't exaggerate how I fell asleep during the process, but it was definitely relaxing enough that my body felt very light. Coming out of it, there is some soreness, which is to be expected as it is targeting the muscle. I would highly recommend and I would try to book with Miriam. Another highlight about Miriam is that she seems very passionate about what she does and that's probably the best type of person that you can ask for when doing this process.

The pain was so excruciating that I wasn't able to function.. I live with RA more than 30 years so my level of pain tolerance is extremely high but it was something I felt I was not able to handle. My husband searched acupuncture and Chan came up in our results. He saw me that day and in 3 days the pain was already tolerable and after a few more days there was hardly any! He pretty much saved my life. I was at the point that I was ready to give up.. The horror started each night around midnight and lasted middle of next day.. Could not sleep, rest, eat or even think.. Chan is amazing! Compassionate and really listens to you. Thank you!!!!!!!!! He is able to help with many many problems so just trust him and call him for an appointment! You'll be all smiles in no time. Just as I was. This was one of the most terrible experience in my life and I went through a lot... But I can't thank him enough for his help. Thank God they aren't large enough to prevent me from having children, but they can be painful at times and as vain as this sounds, no woman likes to have that bloated feeling. I started going to him in Feb or March of 2012. I wasn't able to go as consistently as either one of us desired due to the fact that I have to travel for work. However, even though I wasn't able to go often, there was a significant decrease in pain during menstruation, less bleeding and less clots. He also recommended some herbs. He can order them for you based on his recipe, but they are on the expensive side. I'm going to assume it's due to shipping and handling. The last time I got the herbs from place in chinatown-SHL herbs (you can see my review of them on my page). They were much cheaper. Anyhow, though I still haven't gotten a followup ultrasound, I can tell that they shrank. He does the acupuncture in his house. But he has an area that is closed off that resembles more of a medical office. It's always nice, clean and the temperature is always perfect. He is so knowledgeable and will give you life lessons while he's gently inserting needles into various parts of your body. The sessions are $60 each. He takes credit cards and was nice enough to break my payments in two halves when I had to pay for the herbs. He does more than fibroid work. One time he even helped stop my acne breakouts by doing a little facial acupuncture. It was weird but so effective. I plan on going back soon. This is the only downside to acupuncture, the fact that you have to go so consistently to achieve results. But its better than scars and general anesthesia.
