I've had a bad back most of my adult life, but never sciatica. I was completely miserable. I couldn't sleep and was in constant distress. I went to Dr. Wu and felt great after each visit, but the Sciatica returned. Dr. Wu warned me that it would take multiple visits. After the 4th visit, I was completely cured. A few weeks later, I developed a different back pain and also had groin pain on one side. This wasn't just "oh, I'm sore" pain - it was pain and discomfort that was interfering with my life - it was so bad I had trouble driving. I returned to Dr. Wu and he "killed" me. When I walked out I was still miserable and I had no idea what I was going to do. But when I woke up the next morning, I was completely cured and I've been absolutely fine ever since. My insurance would not cover the visits, but it's priced very reasonably. I've deducted one star only because one has to walk a large flight of stairs and because the office is a bit shabby, but maybe if the office was nice, it would cost 2-3x the price. If I had major surgery and got the same result, I would have been very happy. But Dr. Wu accomplished the same thing for pennies in comparison, with just acupuncture and intense massage. She explained the type of feeling and sensation that you will feel ahead of time. She kept it very professional, but friendly at the same time which helped me feel more at ease. She was more than happy to help and do extra in terms of relieving the muscle. I also can't exaggerate how I fell asleep during the process, but it was definitely relaxing enough that my body felt very light. Coming out of it, there is some soreness, which is to be expected as it is targeting the muscle. I would highly recommend and I would try to book with Miriam. Another highlight about Miriam is that she seems very passionate about what she does and that's probably the best type of person that you can ask for when doing this process.

Acupuncture relieved some of my pain and I did gain back some movement. Day of was ok but today is day 2 and I'm seeing more improvement. The office is nice, and clean. I was given a bell in case of discomfort while I was on the table alone. It don't work. They didn't hear the bell. Gave me a false sense of comfort but in the end it worked out since the pain I was feeling subsided. Also be aware there is a cancellation fee. Knowing all this I will return and do recommend them.

Thank God they aren't large enough to prevent me from having children, but they can be painful at times and as vain as this sounds, no woman likes to have that bloated feeling. I started going to him in Feb or March of 2012. I wasn't able to go as consistently as either one of us desired due to the fact that I have to travel for work. However, even though I wasn't able to go often, there was a significant decrease in pain during menstruation, less bleeding and less clots. He also recommended some herbs. He can order them for you based on his recipe, but they are on the expensive side. I'm going to assume it's due to shipping and handling. The last time I got the herbs from place in chinatown-SHL herbs (you can see my review of them on my page). They were much cheaper. Anyhow, though I still haven't gotten a followup ultrasound, I can tell that they shrank. He does the acupuncture in his house. But he has an area that is closed off that resembles more of a medical office. It's always nice, clean and the temperature is always perfect. He is so knowledgeable and will give you life lessons while he's gently inserting needles into various parts of your body. The sessions are $60 each. He takes credit cards and was nice enough to break my payments in two halves when I had to pay for the herbs. He does more than fibroid work. One time he even helped stop my acne breakouts by doing a little facial acupuncture. It was weird but so effective. I plan on going back soon. This is the only downside to acupuncture, the fact that you have to go so consistently to achieve results. But its better than scars and general anesthesia.
