This is a perfect little hotel, completely close to everything and completely out of the way. I…read moreknow that it takes less than 10 minutes, but just more than 5 minutes to walk here from the Hauptbahnhof in view of the Cathedral... but you will have to cross a few streets. Every detail was laid out great. The receptionist was bilingual and helped point out a few traveler details; she was also the hotel attendant-- she was a piece of art, great hairstyle, and fashionable aura, with a typical German look (well... from a non-European perspective, it was to me). The toilet/sink fusion was a work of art. The room was a little cold, but I like it 70-80' Only two pillows, typical European, but the bed was American-sized. I loved the morning breakfast, it was personalized...and there's no way in hell you would get that at the Hilton or Marriott, which are equidistant from the main Hauptbahnhof, too, but have a cobble-stone suitcase-wheel killer to get there. I think the key card pass to get in the door was perhaps the only trouble, but the Hotel attendant artfully helped me figure it out. This place was great for me. Perhaps once I hit 60... the stairs to get up to the main floors will be a problem; there's a lot of stairs, perfect for burning calories, but if you have a heavy suitcase and don't like exercise this may be your only deal breaker. So glad I chose this place; it's a work of art in every way and the perfect induction to Köln. aufWiedersehen
