They decorated their cafe window accordingly, a white kite in front of a white background. Pretty cool methinks. They sell very good coffee, sandwiches and some patisserie. Apart from that, there's also a little area dedicated to gift ideas such as books, mugs or keychains. The interior decor is lovely and so are staff that work here. If I'm ever back in remote Kapunda, I'll definitely get my coffee from here.

The cafe has been open for a year, and is a gem on the main street. We had F.C. Grubb softdrinks (locally produced in Gladstone by Trend Drinks), and some delicious bikkies and baklava. The coffee smelled amazing, and the ambience is gorgeous. They have a few collectables (carefully curated) in the actual 'vault', which is a lovely touch. We sat on the leather couches and chatted to the gorgeous owner, after admiring her handiwork and wishing this was our loungeroom!! The Throttle Shed has that tucked away feeling but it's actually not very far off Main North Road at all. They seem to have their regulars as others that came in to the cafe all seemed quite familiar with each other which just added to the overall pleasantness. Marie's was the only place open in Yorketown and even though we arrived past business hours we were welcomed like we were entering someone's home. Even though most of the pies were were sold they had several left and they were nothing short of spectacular. The three of us shared a Singapore beef pie, butter chicken pie, sausage roll, and my new favorite a cheese Kransky (a kielbasa sausage with cheese and kraut within a puff pastry). They came to our table served with a homemade green salad and possibly the most spectacular potato salad I have ever experienced. They also had homemade jams and Rocky Road with several unique flavors, all with macadamia nuts. This now serves a new problem...the length of drive to eat here again.
