They are not as greasy as some places are always have the same variety of offerings, and have great texture and flavor. They also have French cruellers, which were not available during Covid due to supply chain issues, so many places stopped offering them but they still do. They have a really good raised cinnamon swirl, apple fritter and blueberry cake donut. One thing to be aware of if you go is they're CASH ONLY. Also they are older Asian folks that are no nonsense type people and don't say much so don't expect much small talk or pleasantries, but they are always nice to me and say thank you. But some people have been frustrated with their customer service. They can be closed at random times and sell out early on Fridays and Sunday's. I've gone at 10am and they sold out, and by noon it's slim pickings so be aware. I recommend you check them out !

When I first arrived in Lompoc, I found a few places to grab dessert, but nothing really stood out--until I discovered Sweet Baking Co. The moment I walked in, I knew I had found my new favorite spot. While I'm living in this lovely little town, I can honestly say I'll be stopping by at least once a week! The desserts are incredible. Tiramisu cupcakes?! What?! I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Every single thing I've tried has been delicious. The frosting is perfectly balanced--not overly sweet--and the fillings are rich, flavorful, and absolutely amazing. You can tell that every item is made with care and creativity. The flavor combinations are unique, thoughtful, and beautifully executed. And then there are the drinks. Oh. My. Goodness. The Ube Horchata is one of the best specialty drinks I've ever had. It tastes every bit as amazing as it looks! What makes this place even more special, though, is the family behind it. They are some of the kindest people you could hope to meet. I work at a local Title I Special Education preschool, and they generously donated to our preschool graduation celebration. That meant so much to our students, families, and staff.
