If you're looking for an amazing apartment or a…read morehome, wonderful people who truly care about you and your needs, and an amazing team of professionals in both the office and on the maintenance team, Steiner Realty is truly for you. I've lived in a Steiner apartment for four years, and it has been the best experience I've ever had. They truly go over and beyond. The maintenance team immediately fixes any issues that may arise (they take amazing care of their properties, so there aren't really any issues to begin with!), the folks in the office really take their time answering any and all questions, and they truly care about their renters. I moved cross country for the first time in my life, and the folks in the office really made the whole process easy for me. If I could live in this apartment forever, I would. They are super nice, informative, professional, hardworking, and overall outstanding. Even my introverted cats who are scared of everyone except my wife and I LOVE the maintenance team, so that says a lot. Everyone at Steiner Realty truly deserves a raise, in my opinion. I've worked as a Leasing Agent before, so I have extremely high standards- Steiner absolutely went over and beyond my standards in every aspect. The quality of my apartment is outstanding, and I have been absolutely blown away by how amazing my time has been while living here. They keep everything super clean- they even salt the sidewalks and parking lots before any storm, big or tiny. They always answer the phones immediately when you call, and they take their time with you. If someone was in my parking spot, they would have them towed immediately for me. One of my light bulbs went out, and they came and replaced ALL of my lights, and even gave me extra bulbs. They even email you after you get maintenance done to make sure you are happy with the results. They all truly go over and beyond. I could go on and on. More people need to know how amazing Steiner is, and how amazing their properties are too.

The 90 year old home was completely stripped down to the studs and renovated by Pittsburgh Property Guy. After living in the house for nearly a year, I can attest to the very high level of quality and craftsmanship that he put into this home. The home inspector even commented to me prior to purchasing that he's seen a lot of renovated homes, and this one was clearly done right. He used high end finishes like Brazilian Cherry floors, granite kitchen counters, and marble in the master bathroom. He also took the time to have the brick cleaned on the outside of the house, exposed and restored original woodwork, vaulted the 3rd floor to create even more livable space. Everywhere you look, you can see that time and thought was put into the final product. It's been so nice having friends and family comment on the beauty and quality of the renovation too! Aside from the quality craftsmanship, Pittsburgh Property Guy himself provided top notch customer service to me when I had questions or minor issues that I encountered. He worked with me directly via phone and email, and was always very quick to respond. It was clear that my happiness as his customer was important to him, and that's not something that should be overlooked! If you're thinking about buying one of his properties, you're in safe hands.

The property needed lots of repair work and the cost of maintaining it was piling up. I reached out to a few investors in the area regarding selling the property and was extremely grateful that I connected with Nick from the Pittsburgh Property Guy Team. When I spoke to Nick, I immediately felt comfortable. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly and offered solutions. Thanks to him, the entire process was smooth, quick and easy. He kept me updated every step of the way from the time they made an offer to close. It was a pleasure doing business with the Pittsburgh Property Guy Team and we highly recommend their services to anyone.

One, our stove caught in fire, completely blamed us, even though it was perfectly clean and I was boiling water. Just water. Stated that since it's "not on fire anymore" they won't replace it. Next, a little over a year into the place, the center of the living room floor began sinking in. They did a shoddy "repair" job if that. The floor was truly never fixed and felt like it would cave in at any time. They also tried to blame it on us stating our cat water fountain must have leaked and caused the damage. It's never leaked, and any spilled will cleaned up immediately. My roommate had part of her bedroom ceiling fall on her because it was rotted. Took them multiple days to come to fix it then processed to leave a huge mess on her bed and through her room. They never bothered to paint the drywall they had replaced so it was just a large unpainted eyesore for two years. They also don't know the laws regarding deposit returns. Saying they can "return it" i.e. just mail it out 31 days AFTER you leave. Which in PA law is not legal. In PA, a renters deposit must be RETURNED within 30 days of move out. My roommate and I moved out July 31st. It has been 31 days since we've moved. And we most likely won't even get the deposit until 35 days since move out. See attached photos as proof HHP assumes they can take advantage of their tenants and then get p*issy in the phone when they are called out for it. Also the lady who sat i front of the ugly cow photo in the office is honestly the rudest lady on earth. If you hate customer service so much, don't work in it ma'am. Additionally, it seemed like the entire time we lived there, they were doing renovations. Which while is nice as they did a great job. It was a major inconvenience at all hours of the day. To make matters worse, the older handyman decided he's allowed to stroll into the apartment at anytime he wants and leave both the building entry door open and the apartment door open. Despite us repeatedly telling him and HHP office we have a cat that will run off if the door is open. So if you have a pet and need maintenance work, pray you don't get him because he won't close the door. Overall you could do worse. But you can also do a heck of a lot better. Former roommate got off the phone with the nice receptionist who fully admitted they should have sent them out two days ago so they would arrive by 08/31. So there ya go! One receptionist blatantly lied about the laws and the other blatantly admits they are 100% in the wrong!! Good luck!

RPM Pittsburgh has been managing my house for 6 months and I am quite happy with their services…read more I'd recommend them to a friend. Pros: - They take care of all repairs and let me know about any unexpected costs as they happen. - They scheduled extra work (termites, fall maintenance) when I asked for it, took care of everything. - I get a monthly statement about income. When the statements look confusing I email RPM and they always explain the charges/income. - Direct deposit to my bank account. Cons: - It took them a few months to replace the garage door on my house, which didn't affect me much but might have made the tenants a bit unhappy. - Sometimes it can take a few days for my property manager to get back to me via email.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. RED FLAGS IMMEDIATELY UPON MOVE IN CONTINUE TO WORSEN. I cannot…read morerecommend Real Property Management (RPM) based on my move-in experience. It's been 24 hours and a total nightmare move-in! My new place is absolutely inhabitable upon move in-and there is zero concern from Claudette, my property manager, who has been dodging my urgent correspondences. Before my lease began, I repeatedly asked for early access to the property and several updates about the garage. Claudette, assured me that early access wasn't possible because the team was still "working hard" to deep clean the home and that it would be completely move-in ready on July 1. I relied on those assurances when planning my move. When I arrived with a vehicle full of my belongings, the home was nowhere near move-in ready. The cigarette odor throughout the house was so overwhelming that it triggered a migraine after only a couple of hours inside. The walls were drenched in sticky nicotine sap that my body absorbed just by being in the room. The home still needed extensive cleaning, the garage was not even accessible, and the kitchen was in an alarming condition. The cleaning company's own report later documented heavy dirt, grease, biological contamination, and the removal of rodent feces from the kitchen cabinets and drawers before they could even be disinfected. That should never be the condition in which a home is turned over to a new tenant. Instead of unpacking, I spent my move-in day begging desperately for human communication with RPM, documenting the property's condition, communicating with cleaners through a language barrier, trying to determine where I would stay, and being sent maintenance requests asking me to coordinate repairs that should have been completed before I received the keys. The biggest disappointment, however, was Claudette's communication. Despite multiple emails, photos, videos, and requests for updates, I was largely ignored. I repeatedly asked for a phone call but was instead directed back to the maintenance portal. At no point did she ask whether I had somewhere to stay after it became obvious I couldn't move into the home, nor did she provide a meaningful timeline or clear plan for resolving the situation. I chose RPM because I believed I was renting from a trusted, professional property management company. Instead, I was left without a move-in-ready home on my lease start date, wondering where I was going to stay, while trying to manage problems that should have been resolved long before I was handed the keys. I cannot WAIT for the next 364 days to be over!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. This experience fell far below the standard I expected from RPM, and I sincerely hope management reviews both the condition of this property and the way this situation was handled. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend renting through this company. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Importantly, I have also been an excellent tenant. Additionally, I am a property owner/landlord in another state, which has influenced my perspective on expectations and the importance of speaking up about concerns sooner than later. Good communication has really made a positive difference in my experience. The office (specifically Taylor, Kelsey, Heather and Rob) and the maintenance team (specifically Dom and Lee), have been accommodating and responsive. There have been some significant issues (both management and maintenance), and they have taken care of each one. In some cases even going beyond to make things right. There have been notable improvements (windows, repairs to deteriorated plumbing, heating issues, etc) in the last year or so as well. Often, maintenance issues need to be brought to their attention. Easily accomplished with an email. They manage a lot of properties with a smaller than ideal crew. In addition, the maintenance crew may not be craftspeople. As a result, you will likely get an adequate, but not necessarily 5-star repair. The yard crew is polite, hardworking & deserving of a shout out. You'll be renting in a scruffy, but charming city neighborhood. If a manicured yard is your preference this is not your area. The properties for the most part are really old. Nothing is straight, the floors are uneven and storage is typically inadequate. Old house lovers will view this as character, along with an opportunity to be a creative problem solver lol. If modern style and conveniences are your thing, look elsewhere. I am satisfied with the rent I'm currently paying. More recently, (2026), I have noticed that monthly rents seem high for the area and for what you're getting. Also, as mentioned by other reviewers, renewing your lease often 6-9 months ahead is definitely not ideal. I also have found that the apartments are not cleaned adequately when turned over. Perhaps this is due to a very short window between move out/move in of tenants and the majority of turnovers happening within a few days. I feel like the office is pretty up front about this though. Again, talk to the office. Even if you can't work out something mutually beneficial, it's definitely worth discussing. I have found the office to be reasonable and willing to listen to concerns. They have heard all this from me before and still asked me if I'd be comfortable reviewing them ;)
