This donut was incredible. Surprised to find it filled with dulce de leche. (Or at least I think that's what it was). Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend! read more

This is a true testament of the fine quality of all their baked goods. While a bit more expensive than some other patisseries, I have found none other that have the flakiest empanadas, or those with the highest quality fillings. I particularly like the mushroom and cheese ones. All the other sweet goods are baked equally well. I find that now that I have tasted their offerings it is difficult to go anywhere else.

Someone gifted us with assortment of cookies from this bakery in Buenos Aires. All were delicious. My favorite was a cookie topped with raspberry jam, an almond and icing. If ever I make it to Buenos Aires I will definitely look this bakery up and spend the entire day sampling all their little bits of heaven. So `Ono!

So you are looking to get some ice cream, are roaming the streets of Buenos Aires and nothing looks…read morefamiliar? Well no problem everyone, if you see a Valence ice cream parlor go right on in. Truthfully they are more of a Gelato parlor that has other items like brownies, cheesecakes and ice cream style sticks or bars in various flavors. I have to tell you that anything dairy in Argentina is way more creamier than any dairy products I have tasted elsewhere. That makes for a much more enjoyable ice cream / gelato experience but some folks may have a problem handling how rich the ice cream / gelato is, but hey well worth it. Plenty of traditional flavors to go around; also, tropical fruit flavors as well which were awesome. Hey when it's as hot as the surface of the sun outside, man those tropical flavors hit the spot. Another interesting item here is they do have quite a few "Sugar Free" options which is good for the health conscious but more especially for diabetics. Flavors include Dulce de Leche, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. This is more sugar free options than what most places carry which is great. Looking forward to trying them out again before we leave but I am sure everything else will be awesome. Wishing you all a great time in Argentina, Enjoy and Bon Appétit!
