Thinking it wouldn't be anything too crazy, I looked online for a company with good reviews and found Cheddar's. The online appointment booking was very convenient, and I was able to book an appointment for first thing Monday morning. Nick was communicative prior to the appointment and Joe arrived promptly at the appointment time. Cheddar's was able to diagnose that it was a much larger problem than a small basement leak, involving needing part of the original stack replaced. Nick patiently walked me through what he thought the issue was, recommended a company to come in to reveal access to the pipes and dry out the leak area. The whole process was a pretty big deal, especially since it's the first time I had to deal with something like this. Nick was so transparent, patient in explaining everything, committed to helping me fix everything quickly, communicated between multiple parties, and just was so empathetic to the problem and disruption it caused, that he even ended up talking me off the ledge multiple times. This was way above and beyond in regards to customer service. After everything was able to be accessed Nick, Joe and team efficiently worked, in one day, to update everything that needed done, walked me through everything they did at the end and demonstrated there were no leaks. I'm just so thankful they were the company I called because they were able to confidently handle all the issues while truly understanding the plight of the homeowner. Here are summaries:…read more Appointment #1: The plumbers removed an old utility sink and installed a new utility sink in my laundry room, removed a 1970s-style wet bar in my living room and capped its pipes, and snaked a gutter pipe outside. Afterward, my new sink and pipes worked great. Appointment #2: The plumber used a camera to determine why my gutter drain pipes were not draining properly. He determined that a dry well/pit in my yard was full and needed to be replaced. Appointment #3: A different company had installed a new washer and dryer in my laundry room, and they caused a gas leak and did not level the washer and dryer. Petrack Plumbing arrived at my house in less than one hour. The plumbers reassembled my gas pipe, and they leveled my washer and dryer. Then they charged me $0! Appointment #4: Petrack Plumbing flushed the pipes from my gutter downspouts to my dry well/pit (*different* downspouts, pipes, and dry well than months earlier). They said that my gutters and downspouts are probably clogged and that my dry well might be full as well, but my dry well does not need to be replaced because it can overflow down the hillside. Then Petrack Plumbing replaced a leaking copper pipe in my basement. The pipe had a pinhole, so the plumber replaced that section of pipe with new copper pipe. They said that the other copper pipes in my house are the thicker-wall Type L pipe, so they should last for more decades. Appointment #5: My hot water heater and expansion tank were about a decade old and probably nearing the end of their lifespan, so I hired Petrack Plumbing to install a new water heater and expansion tank. Two plumbers arrived 1.5 hours early, but they did call in advance for our consent. They spent 2.5 hours doing the installation. At the end, they explained to my husband and me what the different parts do. The plumbers had noticed that the old expansion tank and pipes were connected to the hot water rather than the cold water, so they installed the new tank and pipes in the correct location. This extra work cost a little extra money, but the final price was still a couple hundred dollars less than another company's estimate.

Had them come out and put in a boiler and 2 radiators. My son's radiator they put in a foot away…read morefrom the wall instead of taking the time to put it up against the wall, and his closet door doesn't open the whole way. I complained about it and they didn't fix it. A year later, I was having issues with a valve they put in shooting water out, called and guy told me to put a brass plug in it and move on. Bought the plug and put it in, water then started coming out of the overflow valve. Had another company come out and the cost to fix everything including the blown overflow tank is 2400$. After having a 6000$ boiler put in, 2 years later another 2400 to fix their work. The system was pressurized well above what the overflow tank can handle and caused the liner to pop. Can't recommend this company. Trash.

**BUYER BEWARE!!!!!**…read more We had used Valley for years and will no longer be using them for anything. Dan sold us a bad unit years ago. The thing had been acting up so we called them out. He sends out his tech Mike. Mike proceeded to tell us how bad this unit is, that it's junk, etc. Not realizing that VALLEY was the one that sold it to us. So we pay Mike $200 to "fix" our unit. He sprays it with the hose. Takes half the lid off. Tests the pressure. Tells us it's fixed. We get home later that evening to the entire unit frozen than worse before. So we call them again... We had to wait two days for a call back. They didn't call back until I called for a 3rd time. Mind you it was 95 degrees in my house in the meantime. They send Mike out again. Who was over an hour late for our appointment, to scope our vent, which took less than 5 minutes and could have been done the first time. He then tells us "you" have to clean it out, to use a shop vac and reach in there and scrub it. Wait a minute, aren't we paying you to fix it? Mike then proceeds to tell us how he'd need another guy to help him pull it out and he can't do it by himself. Excuses. Mike also tried to sell us a NEW unit instead of fixing the one that's under warranty for another 5 years. So he doesn't make an appointment with us. We don't hear from them. More avoidance. We have to chase them down. I finally get Dan on the phone 5 days later, only for him to tell me they want to charge me between $500 and $800 dollars to "clean" my AC unit. Then he tells me we're going to need a cleaning once a year..... what?? What a racket! He never once took responsibility for the poor service we received, the bad unit they sold us, or avoiding us for days on end. Do not spend your money here. They will take advantage of you. They will bilk you. They will try to get you to spend exorbitant amounts on "maintenance". Then they will try to sell you a new unit when yours isn't even halfway through the warranty, cause they don't want to eat the costs on a bad product. They're unprofessional. They're rude.
