My brother's van was stolen and recovered by the sheriff's department, and impounded. When we went to the impound lot to get the van the keys to it were stolen also so it had to be towed to his residence which is in the middle of nowhere (to me) in the mountains. Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith was recommended by the towing company so we gave them a call. The very next morning Vinnie from Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith drove out to the residence where the van was and made a new key right on the spot! Impeccable customer service! Pricey, but worth every penny when you have no transportation! :-) read more

locked my keys in the car not only did he get my door open but he made me a duplicate key right there in the parking lot. He was prompt, fast, professional and very reasonably priced. read more

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I scheduled to have a tech meet me between 6-7 pm to replace & reprogram a FOB key which would only need to take 10 minutes total to complete. The tech showed up an hour late with little to no apologies for the extra wait time. I then patiently waited while the tech worked with multiple FOBs which he could not re-program to the car. At 9:45 pm, I was told that he would need to order an additional key. At this point, he asked that I pay $240 for a manual key which was separate from the FOB and that I could pay the remaining $40 once the new FOB came in. I explained that I felt uncomfortable paying such a large portion of the invoice given that the project was no where near complete. I then asked to pay half up front and half upon completion. The tech then made a call to the owner to which the owner's response was "Nah." I proceeded to explain to the owner the circumstances under which this repair look place. I.E. Being an hour late to the appointment, being unable to re-program the FOB, now being 3.5 hours into the appointment time and I'm in the same position as when we started. There was no apology, there was no explanation, just a simple pay the $240 or that's it. The owner poorly represented himself as well as him company and wasted my time in addition to his tech's. Please give another local locksmith company your business. This one is not worth the effort, headache, or a 3.5 hour wait time. read more

I had a 'stuck' ignition in my older Honda (a known issue for my make & model). I talked to my regular mechanic. He said I needed an 'automotive locksmith'. I contacted this service provider, and was met with prompt, professional and courteous service throughout. My technician was Julio. He spent 3 hours removing the ignition switch to access the cylinder. It was tough work, but he never gave up. In the end, we had to order in a new ignition switch. Julio returned, installed and re-programmed everything. The car fought him every step of the way, and was throwing security fault codes. But he had the diagnostic equipment and know how to overcome every issue as it came up. This was a tough, tough job. But Julio never gave up. His perseverance and problem solving skills were amazing. I was very glad to have Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith as my service provider! read more

The owner, Heath, did an excellent job. He fixed our lock and made extra copies of our keys. The good thing about this company is that they are fast and professional. read more

NOT 24 Hrs it seems. Called twice around midnight, no answer. Seems like a lot of these "24/7" locksmith places aren't really 24 hrs here in Bakersfield. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! This has got to be the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They do not stand by any work they do and its very shotty at that, as well as make other components of the vehicle not work along the way. The technician they sent out to do the work arrived late and appeared to be under the influence of something, very jittery, all over the place and in a hurry to leave did not seem to care if the repair was done correctly. Save yourself the headache and money find a reputable locksmith company that actually takes pride in and stands by their work. read more

Called Bakersfield Mobile Locks the other night for a last minute lock change. They were kind enough to work in my request even at 8 in the evening. I had three locks changed on three different doors and they finished in under an hour. Super happy with the speed of service, the gentleman who came out to help even made us multiple copies of the new keys for a small fee. Thanks again for the great service! Perfect for a last minute go to locksmith! read more

Friday night last second call, fast service! Some clown bag broke into my car and stole my keys and a few other small items like my radar detector cable (why??) that loser doesn't have a Valentine One.. Yes... like an idiot, I had left my keys in the console (lesson learned). This caused all kinds of issues. Losing your keys is a pain in the ass. I had my office keys on the ring and seeing the car was broken into in the office parking lot I figured I better change the locks. I called the locksmith fellow, he was super nice to deal with on the phone, he showed up in 45 minutes just like he said he would. He even called and gave status when he was close. He changed two locks and made me a bunch of keys. Fast, easy, and professional. I will definitely use again. read more

Very prompt, excellent service, even went the extra mile to make sure I was informed and my house was secure. Thanks Erick. read more

Horrible customer service. I have my wife and 2 kids locked outside. I asked for a price and he said $85. I said let me call my wife to let her know I found someone. I called back a minute later and he never answered again, I texted and nothing also. Spent another 15 minutes trying to get my wife and kids home safe. Went with Golden Empire and they were much more professional and cheaper also. read more

He called me back (he had a family emergency) and changed my locks for 1/2 price. Showed up on time and did a good job!

Excellent experience with this company on a Saturday morning when we found our driveway gate lock was not functioning. Quick response. Ask for Vinny, his customer service was outstanding and fast/good work replacing the broken lock. read more

I was really impressed with the quick and courteous response. Price charged was very reasonable. Tonight I feel a little more comfortable in my home. Thank you Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith. Would definitely call again. read more

I was given a quote but the technician refused to honor it. I showed him the text message with the price quoted and he said that the dispatcher isn't able to give quotes because the technician needs to see the car in person. It's a dishonest trick to take advantage of people in a desperate situation. I refused his service and found a more reputable company. read more

Responded to emails very quickly. Heath was very informative and professional, would highly recommend.

So these guys installed a lock on my door about 8-9 months ago, and it became a little loose after a few days of installation. I tried calling them back to see if maybe they could come out to fix it but unfortunately no one answered and it went to voicemail every time. Anyways, now the lock completely came off of my door handle. I remember the 2 guys that installed it, first horrible customer service (they seemed completely disinterested and talked amongst themselves the whole time) and second, horrible locks! I will always remember these guys and the poor job they did. I wouldn't have this problem until now if a good job was done, nor would I write a bad review. They've been really good about trying to filter out all of the bad reviews and only keep the high rated ones, unbelievable. I'm not usually the one to give bad reviews, I usually leave it alone, but this is just unbelievable and I feel like people should know. I'm sure some people have good experiences with these guys, but why not be fair and let the public know both sides. I'm just saying, I'm really disappointed in their service! read more

It seems funny to read reviews and have some be absolutely terrible and others fantastic. That makes me suspicious. My experience with Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith was really good. They came to my house within an hour of my call. These guys were nice and reasonable enough that I have a difficult time believing the negative reviews. While they were unable to accomplish making me a key for my old Coke machine, they were able to get me into the machine while allowing me to continue to use it. I was concerned about being able to fix the lock later and just after they left I received a text from them with a website showing reasonably priced parts to make the repair (not theirs- a third party). I was really impressed. This is the first time I have had need for a locksmith but I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to others. read more

I am only giving a single star because Yelp won't let me give less! So unbelievably rude and overpriced! Long story short, as with almost anyone contacting a locksmith, I was having a horrible day. I contacted this company through AAA to help me because my keys were locked in the trunk of my car. The person who "tried to help" me quoted my $240 because she said her tech told her that since my keys were in the car, they would be unable to bypass the trunk release latch (the car would think it was being stolen and "deadlock) and would need to make a new key. I told the person that I didn't feel like I had a choice - I had my sister and my mother both stuck at the cancer center) and that I felt like I was a hostage. She told me that I had plenty of choices and HUNG UP ON ME! The next locksmith I called quoted me $140 to make me a new key and was there in 20 minutes. Once there, he QUICKLY bypassed the locked trunk release, popped the trunk and I had my keys (I paid $75 including tip!) I mentioned to Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith that I found this dispatcher to be rude and lacking compassion. She told me that it was "people like you" who lock their keys (it wasn't me who actually did it, but that is irrelevant) and then yell at "the ones who could help". I never yell - ever. As I told her, in that line of business, you should be able to at least fake compassion or you are in the wrong line of work! (I saved the full text in case anyone doubts this) read more

Great service and the best prices. Call these guys for all your locksmith needs.

I myself is also a professional locksmith with over 20 years in this business & have know Heath for years & know he's a true professional locksmith who takes pride in this profession unlike so many scammers that pry on you at your weakest hour when you really need a professional locksmith & not to be taken advantage of, so be assure to call him instead of some 1-800 locksmith scammer read more

12.30.18 - Came out to my truck at the Valley Plaza to find the door lock had been punched. Called Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith and the guy (I think his name is Julio) was out to my location in less than 30 minutes. Very professional and had the door opened quickly. I had the keys in my pocketbook so that was a good thing. Great response time, nice guy to help me. read more

I have been on the hunt for a reliable mobile locksmith for years. The usual issues I had never happened with Heath/Vinny at Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith. I work with a business that has several locations throughout California and I require some locks to be rekeyed often. We have a master key system that we also have to have match which tends to be too complicated for some locksmiths. They arrived on time, well dressed and professional. They had my locks rekeyed quickly with extra keys made as I requested, Because I had used other locksmiths in the past, the keys needed a little extra work and they came back out the next day as I requested (although they were willing to come back that same evening). Heath followed up with me to ensure everything was working well after Vinny had fixed my key issue. I am so happy to finally have a solid locksmith to use. I will refer Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith to friends and other businesses because they were such a pleasure to work with. read more

Fast, friendly, honest, affordable, what more could you ask, I am a car hauler and we need to be on time my schedule stayed above par due to Bakersfield locksmith. Arrived on time, quickly got to work and made the key in all I think it took about 20 minutes. I thought it would take longer. This guy is legit. Will definitely reuse in the future. Thank You Bakersfield Locksmith. AAA+ read more

I'll start by saying the technician was friendly and was done with the rekeying of all 5 locks in about 5 minutes. My problem with the service is that the tech could have been upfront with me about the options available for rekeying the locks. I have the kwik set smart locks that can be easily rekeyed by the homeowner without need for special locksmithing skills. I did not notice this until after the service was completed. FYI my wife ordered the service and I got home just in time to meet the tech. It would have been good customer service for the tech to make me aware that they are smart locks, so that I can decide to pay his service call fee of $75 and then rekey them myself, or pay the additional $20 per lock for him to rekey them for me. I called to inform their office of my disappointment and the person I spoke with was cordial but did not see any reason why the tech should have done any different. In the end, I would not recommend this company because they have prioritized their profit ahead of good customer service. read more

Heath Gallon, Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith is a lifesaver., we were setting up to camp in our travel trailer in Big Sur. The door lock ceased and the key broke in the door lock. In an extraordinary coincidence, Heath was driving by with his family on his odd time in his personal vehicle, noticed we were having a problem, and offered to help. He pulled a small bag of tools out of his trunk and opened the broken dead bolt lock. This is a good guy who is very skilled and helped us out of the goodness of his heart. I was locked out of my apartment on a Monday night and called Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith because they had great reviews. I was told someone would arrive within 30 minutes which they sort of did. The problem was that he arrived at the wrong address. It took 10-15 minutes on the phone giving step by step directions before the guy finally figured out how to reach my large, not at all hidden away apartment complex. Once he arrived he got to work immediately but struggled to open the lock to my door. He spent about 20 minutes spraying the lock with WD40 and wiggling a key in it while banging on it with the handle of a screwdriver. His explanation was that the lock was "unstable" and you never know how long it will take to unlock any particular lock. Things did not look promising so long story short I had to pay someone else to come unlock the door but was still charged some BS $65 service fee for Bakersfield Mobile Locksmith coming out even though the tech didn't complete the job. Not sure how they justify charging that much money for driving over only to fail at unlocking my door. I think it's fair to have to pay a small fee but if you're charging $80 to unlock the door then charging $65 when you couldn't complete the job is a total rip off. I would say they should be ashamed of themselves but I'm sure they won't be read more

Great company, extremely fast response even on a Sunday, highly recommend! They came out after the first company failed to show up.

Horrible customer service. Called them to look at a lock, they said they would return my call, never heard back. Called them again, voicemail was full, left text with my phone number several times, never heard a word from them. I would go with a locksmith that wants the business and demonstrates good customer service, not this one. read more

Great service here fair prices and great work I recommend this business to anyone and everyone they really know there stuff.

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. I called these guys to fix a lock they had installed. I was so unhappy with the quality work they put in. They installed a cheap lock on my door that resulted in breaking after a few weeks. I called them several times but they often didn't answer and their voicemail was full. I was so disappointed in their work. Not only did they have poor quality locks but the guy was extremely unprofessional and so rude. I have never experienced anything like it. As much as I hate giving bad reviews, I feel like they deserve it. read more

I read the yelp reviews before making an appointment with these guys and believe me, they are not even close to a 5/5 rating. In my experience they were very unprofessional. I felt like I was over charged for 2 locks and it seemed like he chose the cheapest locks. They provided me with very cheap quality locks and I was very unhappy with the service, in addition the guy was very rude and I will not recommend his service to anyone. read more
