I'm old enough to remember and lived in the area when the first Bakers came to town. Back then we were called Sunnymead and Bakers was located on the southeast corner of heacock and sunnymead boulevard. As a kid I always loved going to Bakers because of the twin kitchen. Some days I feel like tacos some days I felt like a burger with fries and I can get whatever craving I had at this one stop shop. Was very sad to see Bakers leave town and soon after I ended up moving away. When I came back to town I was very happy to see that they had brought back Bakers even though it's way on the other side of town practically in Riverside. It was good just like I remembered when they first opened. I no longer live in the area but I do get back every few years. I'm sad to see that this Bakers is not living up to its reputation. I blame it all on the staff because great staff is hard to find nowadays and it seems like Bakers has literally scraped the bottom of the barrel just to get stuff. Luckily on my travels throughout Southern California there are dozens of other Bakers locations that's still care about their customers and serve amazing food just like they always have. Moreno Valley location please fix this restaurant and go back to how it used to be when staff actually cared about the products they made and respected their customers. read more

Late night runs can be hit or miss... but this one? Yeah, they didn't miss. I grabbed an Oreo shake and a small fry, I went around 10:15pm, and everything was on point. The shake was cold, smooth, and had that perfect consistency, not one of those lazy versions where it's just ice cream with a few Oreo chunks tossed in. This was a real Oreo shake, blended right, tasting exactly how you hope it will when you order it. And the fries? Fresh. Like actually fresh. I was fully expecting them to hand me some that had been sitting under a heat lamp fighting for their life--but nope. Hot, crispy, and clearly made to order. It's been awhile since I've had Baker's. I stay in Lake Elsinore and the closest one is maybe in Riverside. I was in the area, so I had to stop by. I ordered online and wow, so much has changed. First, I love the online ordering system - they even have a kiosk inside, at least at this location. I was noticed that there's an upcharge for grilled onions on your burger. No biggie, just something I noticed. This location is big, roomy and seemingly pretty busy. All I ordered was the Boca burger and chili cheese fries. The online system said that it was ready immediately, which I knew was off. When I got there, there was a bit of a wait, but not too long - again, it's a pretty busy area. When I received my food, well, they were outta forks so I was given a spoon for my chili cheese fries. That was not gonna work, but what could you do? Hope they start stocking more forks than spoons or at least sporks. This location also has outdoor seating, I mean plenty, which is a nice change. We have returned to this location multiple times over the years along with other locations throughout riverside. Although this isn't my favored location, I was happy to see the banana milkshake made a comeback. Did a first time mobile order for lunch and set the time for pick up 20 minutes out. When we got there a couple minutes before pick up time, I was confused when we were told no order was received, we probably have the wrong location, they don't know how door dash works, etc. but, I ordered directly through your mobile app. They actually don't receive the order until the scheduled pick up time so we ended up waiting another 10 minutes for our food which defeats the purpose of scheduling a pick up time. The nachos were a mess, the chips were overly salty on the verge of inedible, they messed up our milkshake orders and switched the whipped cream around and the banana milkshake was not banana-ing for me. All in all, a terrible first mobile order experience and would definitely avoid this location from now on. read more

Me and my family went here on a Sunday afternoon to hopefully have some decent food but we had a terrible time. We ordered about 5 meals and when we got the order, which they gave us to go without even considering we were dining in, we noticed two of the meals were completely missing. Even worse, the tostada I had ordered was given to me with just cheese thrown on it, and was very sad looking. We obviously took it back and asked for the food and they had the audacity to ask for the receipt like it could have been our fault. We ended up getting the missing tacoburger and fixed tostada but they were both put together terribly and looked beat up. Not to mention the inside of the place looks dirty a lot of the time. This is my first ever time going to this bakers restaurant and the employee was good she took our order fast got us out fast and was very respectful although when we received our food the burger was cold and a bit smaller than we expected and the taco had a weird after taste I got the soft taco the taco was a bit cold as well the fries were warm and the size of the cup was a good size differing that it was suppose to be a medium. My brother took me here when I came out to visit. This was my first time here. Bakers is a fast food chain in the Inland Empire area of southern California. The best way I can describe this fast food is Del-Taco meets McDonald's. They have burritos cheeseburgers, tacos, chili cheese fries and milkshakes. They have your typical fast food seating inside. Bakers food is reasonably priced too. I saw a lot of young people there. This place is kid friendly. I like that they offered high chairs. Their service was good. I was helped by Mackenzie. She was super sweet. I got a chili cheese fry, a burger called, a single baker cheeseburger, and a vanilla shake. This place is really popular for the locals. I definitely recommend this place. I will put them on my list to visit again when I visit southern California again. read more

My first time trying out Baker's and it was alright. The prices were good, but the food was underwhelming. If you are craving some typical fast food on a budget, this is a good option. I tried the Single Baker Burger and the patty tasted like it was frozen prior and wasn't seasoned too well. The tomato, bun, and the sauce were pretty good though. The frynormous is pretty big and good enough for 3-4 friends to share! The fries do taste a bit stale after a while though. You have to eat them fresh! Similiar vibes to McDonald's fries. The cheese fries (only $1.29!) came with hatch chilies to my surprise. It was decent, but I wasn't expecting it. Be prepared to wait in a line at this location. It is always busy and packed with people. Which would make you assume the food will be fresh, but thats not always the case. Service is quick and efficient. We prefer to go during their late night specials to save some money - but so does everyone else. Their Burgers are a cheaper version of the in n out burger in my opinion. Their breakfast tacos are really good and i wish the chicken burritos were bigger for the steep price. read more

This is like a better version of a 90's Del Taco which is more expensive. They have better burgers, fries and tacos. My trip was delightful the service in the drive thru was quick. I got the twin kitchen combo and a cheese quesadilla. I substituted the Monterey chile on my burger. The burger was above average I would get it again for sure. The rest of the meal was a B- nothing special I think the crispy taco is better than Del Taco and slightly worse than Taco Bell. I got lots of fries and the burger and taco were standard size. I really want to go and get my 40.00 back. The food must have been sitting all day. I got home to cold food. The cheese on my burger was stuck on stale bread. The chicken in the burrito was like a plastic sponge that I couldn't chew. The tortilla had the texture of partially dried out play dough. The fries were a stringy grease and potato ball stuck together. Food that has been sitting since 1952 sounds more accurate than "fresh for you since 52". Service was great but that was about it. GLASS IN THE BEANS I went through the drive-through and ordered a green burrito combo. When I bit into the burrito I heard a crunching noise. When I spit my food out I found a piece of glass the size of a nickel and the beans. I went inside and spoke with the manager and the only thing they offered was to replace the bean and cheese burrito. The girl at the drive up window was an absolute doll. I was craving the tater tots for some reason so I went to Baker's in Bloomington CA. Once there, I decided to get a sausage burrito combo. The coffee was fine-better than some. The burrito reminded me of why I don't like breakfast burritos. They use green sauce which is good for an empty stomach, but the combo of that with egg and sausage just doesn't work for me. And the tortilla needed time on the grill. My main objective, the tots, were salted, as I asked, but they were overdone. Burned tots taste like a burnt potato chip was fried in old oil. Literally waited 38 mins for our food. The car in front of us changed their order at the window. We called the place and spoke to a Jacob. He informed us that their service time was 3 mins even though we told them we had waited 30 mins already. He refused to ask the car in front of us to wait in the parking lot while they served customers. I've never been to a drive thru with such poor service. One would think that if a customer called from the drive thru line TWICE that he would take responsibility and help the waiting customers. WHY CAN'T I HAVE A REFILL?!!! This is ridiculous, post a "NO REFILLS" sign. Pre-Covid days refills were honored if your drink and food were consumed in dining room. What I didn't like is after asking for a refill is being told no and then immediate dismissing me by turning their backs to me. How do you know I didn't want to purchase another drink. This review is based mainly off the taco burger. It was good for fast food and reminded of the one Taco Bell had when I was a kid. I got the plant based one and it did not disappoint. My only gripe is it came with a wheat bun whereas the traditional one comes w a regular white bun which I would have preferred. I also got a plant based combo burrito with onions and there were so many onions that it literally altered the taste of the burrito. Most of the food is pre-made and not at all fresh; it sits there all day. The taco meat is more grease than meat. And asking for extra anything is bound to end in disappointment. And by the time you do get your food, there is a solid chance it's cold due to the lack of urgency from the employees. I used to really like Bakers too. So sad. read more
