I had an initial visit, followed by a session with some of his neurological testing. Most I passed fine, some I did not. Blood work was ordered. I asked my primary care physician to review the tests; they had no concerns but suggested I clarify the purpose with Dr. Trites. That's when the unraveling began. I sent a polite email to Rachael, and the response I got was littered with spelling and grammatical errors. Soon after, I was discharged. I requested a refund, but the office manager (his wife) refused to respond. I left a detailed Google review warning others--but it seems to have vanished. Afterward, the office left a public review claiming I made them feel unsafe and bragged about how many doctors I've seen. None of that is true. I have a complicated medical case, and asking questions should not result in being dismissed, ignored, or accused of lying. If you are considering functional medicine, there are far better options. Dr. Uremovich is an exceptional physician. She's thorough, consistent, and deeply focused on patient care. She always prioritizes comfort and professionalism, and I would rate my experience with her a 10/10 across the board. Unfortunately, my experience with the office staff has significantly declined, particularly at the front desk. Over the past year, I have repeatedly observed unprofessional behavior from the receptionist, Laura. During multiple visits, she appeared more focused on scrolling on her phone, fixing her makeup, or slicking back her hair while using her phone as a mirror: than on checking in patients or processing paperwork efficiently. On my most recent visit, I stood at the check-in window for nearly 30 seconds while she finished adjusting her hair/ blush before even acknowledging me. Additionally, the use of a personal phone in plain view of patients' personal health information is concerning and reflects a serious lapse in professionalism and discretion. While I understand that everyone has moments during the workday, this level of comfort and repeated behavior is inappropriate in a medical setting. At my last appointment, I waited 35 minutes past my scheduled time in the lobby before being informed that Dr. Uremovich had been called away over an hour earlier to deliver a baby and would not be able to see me. I fully understand and respect the nature of OB care and emergencies; however, it was frustrating that this information was not communicated sooner. I had used PTO for this appointment and drove 45 minutes to and from work to attend it. When I asked whether patients are typically contacted in advance when their physician is unavailable, I was told, "I mean, we can, but that's not something I can really control sooo...". This response lacked any accountability or basic courtesy on her end. A simple phone call would have prevented any unnecessary inconvenience or frustration. While I continue to hold Dr. Uremovich in the highest regard, the lack of professionalism and hospitality at the front desk ultimately led me to discontinue care with this office. First impressions matter, and front-office staff set the tone for the entire patient experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it would be unfortunate for other patients to be lost due to completely avoidable administrative issues.
