Waited over an hour for my first time patient appointment. Couldn't wait any longer and not planning to return.

This is my second one to review, I wish I could I could leave zero star. Dr. Mahmood. Did root canal for my son. He ruined his tooth that my son suffered from it for two months actually almost 3 months and I took him back for a follow up. They said everything is fine and nothing they can do and then my poor son end up getting infection and swollen cheek. They referred me to another specialist saying that this Dr. Mahmoud. Doesn't you treatment which is ridiculous to hear about how he can ruin the truth, but not fix it now Medicaid doesn't cover treatment. That's how they make money sending you to specialist ruining your tube and sending you out to other people I've been calling and calling million times, one of the girl was trying to help me hopefully she can help me somehow, but I doubt it, I'm about to sue this doctor in this clinic. I'm working with my lawyer to sue them. This place is ridiculous unprofessional. You can see on the picture how my son has a swollen cheek he has been suffering could've been asleep for a week. not typically a person to leave a bad review, especially having worked in a medical environment, but I've waited over an hour every time i've had an appointment here, and I was just told to come back later in the afternoon after sitting in the chair for ~70 minutes. not to mention the quality of the dentistry is subpar at best. last time i was here my doctor said two sentences to me during our visit and gave me the most painful dental cleaning of my life, and i've had several dentists/orthodontists over the years. i get the feeling they get away with a lot because they take lower-tier insurance potentially? but if you've got coverage that lets you go anywhere else, do so. you're gonna waste a maddening amount of time attending appointments here. they need to book their appointments for longer periods of time if they're going to be this consistently behind constantly. read more

RUN far from this place! They are FRAUDS! Call the police and report this dental office (312) 814-6910. They are extremely unprofessional very dirty. The dental assistant took me back had me wait ONE HOUR for regular routine visit clean up that never happened. She took 3 X-ray pictures after having me wait over hour Dentist comes in checks my teeth doesn't clean or polish my teeth tells me I would need a deep cleaning and speak to front desk. Front desk tells me it would take 2weeks to find out if insurance approves deep cleaning ( minding you they work with insurance everyday they would know if it's approved or not) . So I asked her after me waiting for over an hour how come my teeth didn't get cleaned today since I'm being charged through my insurance for a routine visit? She said it's either routine visit or deep cleaning that will be covered to pick only one? When we don't know if the deep cleaning is even covered. It's now over a hour I told them to call me let me know if deep cleaning is approved. I go to my car and about to pull out of the parking lot " Tiffany calls me asks me to come back in to take more X-rays that she forgot? I said it was fine. I go in and Im beyond irritated at all the unprofessionalism, lack of organization. I ask the dental assistant why this wasn't taken when I took the other 3 X-rays or the entire time I was waiting for over hour that they left me in a room watching Popeye cartoons waiting for the dentist. She said she just remembered a these X-rays are for every 4-6ys and that they needed this in order to get my deep cleaning approved. I told her I'm sorry i would like to call my insurance see if that's needed for approval of deep cleaning i would like to reschedule today's appointment as I've been here for over a hour for 3 X-ray pictures and no dental cleaning. She acts appalled and shocked that i asked to reschedule my appointment without having any common sense or self awareness or understanding to patient has been here long and nothing has been done. The front desk "Tiffany"was extremely argumentative trying to have the last word in everything I said which was how disrespectful, unprofessional, unorganized they were. How argumentative she was, I was telling her I was there for OVER A HOUR without having a regular routine visit and only 3 X-rays being taken. It wasn't busy there was only one other person in the office besides me as patient. I asked for my Xrays to be emailed. I had said because of Tiffany arguing with me I didn't feel comfortable coming back. I had made an appointment to come back in 2 weeks for the dentist to finish the routine visit! I was email today a letter from the "dental office" dismissing me as patient minding you I was never called or spoken to, never got an apology after how I was treated!!!! This is FRAUD to take patients money from insurance for annual routine checkup cleaning visits and only do 3 X-rays pretending to do everything else that's required for an annual cleaning routine visit! Run far away from this place and report them!!!! I never had this issue in the past going here for three years. The doctors I had are no longer here, so aren't the past front desk and assistants. Had my 2nd visit yesterday with Dr. Mehan - and she's amazing ! I've had serious nervous problems when it comes to the dentist for years now; but she was kind and patient both times, and made a habit of asking if I was doing okay every so often, which made me feel so much more relaxed than I normally would. Not only that, but my fillings look & feel great. so thank you! Also, big thanks to Safa @ the front desk ; she was super friendly & helped me better understand my next appointment and some pretty awesome payment options they have for a procedure that, sadly, my insurance will not cover entirely. needless to say, I'll definitely be getting all my future dental work done here. you guys are awesome! read more

Please read the review before you see the doctor. It is very important. It will change your life forever. Baker Hill does not follow dental sterilization for your visit. Dr. Aditi performed my dental deep cleaning for one week for the left side and another week for the right. Then, She suggested that my tooth need 10 fillings. She never explained my teeth' condition. Three months before, I had seen a different family dentist, she never told me I have bad teeth. In my first appointment for the filling procedure, my molar tooth was broken piece. In another tooth-filling procedure, Dr. Aditi made two teeth very wide in her filling. After filling at Baker Hill Clinic, I got caught Cold sores and sensitive pain teeth for 14 days. After 10 days, my bottom tooth filling was broken into small pieces and pain. I went to see Clinic. Dr. Aditi removes the old filling broken piece and redo the filling. I asked Dr. Aditi questions about my teeth situation, but she never explained anything. My both fillings failed because of too deep drilling and too close to my nerve. I bought my dental Delta insurance and went to see a different doctor. He preferred an endodontist for my pain and sensitive teeth. After three days with two different doctors, my pain was released. My endodontist removes the infected pulp and nerve in the root of the tooth. Our family plan for a vacation to my native land was canceled. It was not necessary to do removing old fillings and redo it new ones. read more

I am super nervous going to the dentist. I was greeted by a very sweet receptionist. After sitting in the chair, I was greeted by Dr. Aladdin and was pleasantly surprised how calming he was. He went over everything and made me feel at ease. We came up with a plan that assured me calmness. My teeth cleaning was deep and very necessary. After changing insurances, I had to find a new dentist. I decided to try this place out since it was next to my gym. Unfortunately, I should've read a few reviews before coming. To start off upon entering the business, it was completely disheveled. They were ceiling tiles missing and paint chipping from the wall and just generally unkempt. That was the first sign I should've left. Upon being called back to get my x-rays and my exam, the person doing it was sweating so profusely that it was dripping on me. Disgusting! The doctor I saw was fine, but all he did was glanced at my X-rays and leave. Seemed knowledgeable but also it felt too quick. Finally the hygienist who cleaned my teeth just DRAGGED the polishing tool around my mouth, knocking the metal part onto my teeth multiple times. I thought he was going to chip a tooth. They also didn't floss or do anything else besides "polish" which took him about 30 seconds. Who doesn't FLOSS?! Or scrape! Or anything!!!! do not go here. Please. I beg you. read more

Confirmed Baker Hill Dentist and Oral Surgeon took my Metlife PPO Plus insurance prior to my sons wisdom teeth surgery and confirmed they were in-plan. I asked for an estimate and they said $380 to $600 per tooth without insurance. After my son had the surgery they said the Dentist is in-network but the Oral Surgeon is out of plan. Called to ask them to fix and they refused to charge as per in-network prices. Bait and switch and dishonest business practice. Reporting them to BBB, Metlife and State of Illinois. read more

I have been a customer of Baker Hill Dental for over 10 years. Recently, I received a bill in the mail from September of 2019 for $217.20 I was a little taken back considering we are in 2021 and I have been to Baker Hill dental for multiple visits since then. I called the office FOUR times, always with the same "We will look into it and get back to you" with no response whatsoever. I tried one last time and spoke to the manager Ashley who told me that I had to pay for the services provided. My response was A: $170.40 the day of service as a copay, and B: My insurance paid $669.40 and now you want to charge me an additional $217.20 a YEAR and 5 MONTHS later? Does this make sense? Her response was well it takes us a while to hear back from the insurance. I am sure it DOES NOT take Cigna Dental a YEAR AND 5 months later to get back to you. It clearly shows some type of mis-billing to the insurance- since Baker Hill already received $839.80 from myself and Cigna! The service provided that day was NOT worth $839.40-and now you want more money?(My balance sheet shows 1,057.00 for 2 cavities, deep cleaning of one side (only), and xrays) She said a courtesy to me she will take over $80 for the X-ray. I told her I will pay the amount due but you will lose me as a customer. She told me she will inactive my account gladly. For me its not about the money, but the PRINCIPLE. 1. You don't bill someone a year and 5 months later for service done 2. When someone calls you-you call them back. I shouldn't have to call you 4 times to get a response. 3. I paid a copay upfront and asked Dr. Goyal at the time of service that I will not be charged more. However, to my dismay I was. a. Implies clearly that office staff will lie to you upfront and can't be trusted. 4. When someone has been a customer for 10 plus years to close /inactivate their account clearly shows what how much YOU value and respect the people bringing you business. Clearly unprofessional and unethical conduct with zero value of patients. This behavior is unacceptable! read more

This place is awful! Stay away. It use to be great. Dr. Syed just disappeared. Big Loss to the place. I don't remember the name of the dentist that took his place but he was wonderful also. The dentist they have now is awful. She tried to get me to get invisilne for about $5000, after telling me this is something I should have done years ago. Seeing that I had been coming there for 12+ years then I would say that is your fault that I was never told this was necessary. I was also told I had 3 cavities and when I saw another dentist 6 months later they said my teeth were perfect. Additionally, had a dentist fixing a tiny chip in one of my top molars and they cracked by tooth. They keep bugging me to schedule an appointment. I am never coming back there. Got a wisdom teeth removal. One year I have permanent numbness and pain in all of my molar teeth. Dr. Peterson is unqualified for his job. When they took X-rays of my teeth, the dentist never looked at it, she only discovered I had a cracked filling when she was cleaning it and then proceeded to tell me I had a cracked filling and needed a root canal. She never finished cleaning my teeth and went to the next patient. I went to another dentist, he stated that I just need to get it filled. The front desk people were nice at least. read more

If I could give zero stars I seriously would. I had a horrible experience here. First off, the female dentist was very rude to me. She should not work with people because she is not friendly AT ALL. Also, they over charged me for my service and I received a letter in the mail about how they owe me money. However, when I called to ask about the money they owe they pretended not to know what I was talking about. After going in to speak with the manager about the confusion on THEIR INCOMPETENT STAFF's Part we finally got to the bottom of it and I was told I would receive a "check in the mail" with the money they owe me..... I'm super disappointed with my last visit. I went in 2 months ago and was told i had 6 cavities that needed to be fixed. I was shocked because i've been very consistent with getting my teeth checked so I went to get a second opinion at a different dentist. To my surprise the other dentist told me I had NO CAVITIES just some discoloration and staining!! Everyone please be aware and get a second opinion if something seems off. Didn't think would writing a review for getting by teeth drilled by someone. I have always had the most satisfying experience here. The staff is polite and welcoming. Dr. Goyal, who is my current Dentis there is very experienced and attentively listens to my queries. Assistants at Baker Hill are also very passionate and knowledgeable especially, Youssef. He interacts with his patients and make them feel involved in the process. I had a chance to share few words with him. He's also studying to become a Dentist so he knows what he's doing. read more

I would avoid this place. I was told I had a cracked tooth and would need a crown for around $1K. They also tried to pressure me on other procedures which at that point I felt like they were just trying to get as much money out of me and my insurance as they possibly could. Like some of the other reviewers I decided to get a second opinion and low and behold, no cracked tooth. read more

Ummm let's see. They still owe us an overpayment from 2012, I've emailed, called, left several voicemails.... I guess dishonesty is the policy. Also just called for a emergency service and the "awesome receptionist" was extremely unhelpful (so that hasn't changed). Also did I tell you Dr. Saaad filled a tooth that didn't need to be? Even after I told him. NOT to? Money money money is the name of the game. Took to long to see me. Dr. seemed to not take into account that the procedure was uncomfortable for me and I even coughed during the cleaning bc of how much water he was putting in my mouth. Stay away from this place. I tried it out since it is in network with my dental plan and close to home, although the front desk staff was fine, I got yelled at by the hygienist for refusing X rays because I am pregnant. She repeatedly asked me if I had a "note" and then told me I may not be able to be seen because I was a new patient and I absolutely had to have X rays. When I reminded her that I could decline X rays for any reason (without a note) she stomped out of the room and said "I'll have to get the doctor". The doctor then came in and told me that it wouldn't be a complete exam and they wouldn't know if I have cavities unless they can do an X ray. My cleaning and exam took a total of 5 minutes, completely useless. They are only interested in how much money they can make off of you. read more

Worst experience at the dentist I've ever had. I spent more time waiting for the doctor then I did actually being treated. They brought me back and got me situated and I waited back there for about 45 minutes. I spent about two hours at the dentist just for a check up. Second of all the female doctor was extremely rude and condescending. As a 25 year old women, I did not appreciate her speaking to me like a child. Lastly, i had fillings done on a few teeth and a few weeks later I had to go back because they were bothering me and I was experiencing some pain. However, when I went back to have the fillings readjusted I had another horrible experience with the same doctor. She made me feel stupid like I was over exaggerating MY OWN pain. I will NEVER go back again. And I won't even start on all of the annoying voicemails and advertising calls they leave me. I have no idea how this business has not been shut down yet. Baker Hill dentistry is one big scam! Stay far, far away if you want a dentist you can trust. I was given a COMPLIMENTARY teeth whitening: First of all, just trying to schedule the appointment was a hassle- the receptionist's are anything but friendly and attentive. When I tried to schedule my teeth whitening they said I needed to do a regular check-up first to make sure I didn't have any cavities prior to the whitening (Aha! That's how they get people in and get their money... ). Against my better judgment, I made the appointment because I wanted a free whitening. I was taken back and the entire check-up, x-rays and "cleaning" were done by a technician, not Dr. Saeed. Dr. Saeed came in to speak with me at the very end of my appointment for about 5 minutes to look at the x-rays....telling me I needed THREE cavities filled!!! He said these cavities HAD to be filled before the complimentary whitening and at my expense, but then the whitening would be free. May I mention that they would not tell me how much that would cost me out of pocket??! Red flags went off as I very infrequently get cavities and I just had a check-up 5 months prior and had ZERO, so the odds of me now having 3 within 5 months are slim to none. At this point, I tried requesting my x-rays be sent to me, it took me almost 1 month to get my x-rays after the company refused to send them to me. When I got my x-rays, I immediately took them to my trustworthy dentist who said I have ZERO cavities. I saw another yelper say that he had a tooth filled that didn't need to either! Is this how this place runs their business?! It's despicable!! This place should be shutdown. No transparency. customer service sucks. I really like this place. I rarely wait long. I had one bad experience a couple years ago when there was an older dentist there (can't remember his name) but he's gone now. Dr. Saaed is awesome. Takes his time, listens, friendly, does an awesome job. He was able to fix what the older dentist messed up. Hopefully they keep Ronnie around as well - I believe he is a Dental Hygienist and oh man - he makes the whole experience! Hilarious but also very professional and sensitive. HORRRRRRRIBLE dental practice... By far the worst customer service or any service by that means. I called at 9 a.m. to make an appt for tooth pain that day for 6p.m. The receptionist took all my info over the phone (including policy number). I had been a previous patient and changed insurances. When I asked her if they took that dental coverage (Delta) she said yes, they take all Delta dental policies. Walk in at 6p.m. for them to tell me sorry they do not take my insurance. Not only did they waste my whole day to find a replacement appointment somewhere else, but when I asked them what I am supposed to do neither receptionist would even look at me. Like they thought if they didn't respond to my question and sat silent, I would just walk away???? The employee who made the mistake did nothing but tell me I can pay for everything out of pocket! WOW. So out walks the patient in extreme pain with no appointment, no answers. When I called back to talk to a manager, guess what, there wasn't one there.
