I was initially excited about the drink specials and the dessert case looked great, although I was not in the market for dessert at the time. For breakfast, I ordered an egg sandwich on an Asiago bagel. The Asiago bagel was delicious and I love that it was cut in half so it was easier to eat since it was so thick, but it needed some sort of sauce on it, it was kind of dry. I ordered a Three Musketeers medium sized drink off their specials menu, which didn't specify pricing or sizes and ended up being more expensive than I thought. It was a pathetic amount of liquid in a much larger cup which felt deceptive, I thought surely they gave me a straight shot of espresso by mistake since that's how little was in my cup. I went up to the counter to confirm it was the right drink and indeed a medium, but they confirmed it was right and 'yes, that has the two shots of espresso in it that come with a medium' - yeah, two shots and nothing else! It wasn't very sweet and surely didn't taste anything like the candy it was named after, I was very disappointed. It also didn't perk me up at all, and for two shots of espresso, that's just crazy - I don't know what was in here but it was nothing I expected or wanted. They also served it in a to go cup even though I was dining in which felt a little wasteful. Overall I felt really ripped off by this drink. I get that there's not a lot happening in this area, but that doesn't mean standards and portion sizes can be so low. For the prices, I was shocked there was no table service and that you had to order at the counter - it really didn't have a homey vibe due to this and wasn't what I was expecting. I'd check out another coffee house next time I need brunch in the area, sorry.

Cinnamon rolls might be the best I've ever had (in over 60 years of eating them!); maple-frosted brownies were great too - more fudgy than cakey, which I prefer, but not simply like eating fudge (which would have been too sweet). For $35, I think the portions were generous and I got mac & cheese and potato salad for sides. The mac & cheese to me is better than other places. The food itself was actually really delicious. The brisket was fatty, and had a great smoky flavor however was a bit on the salty side. The cucumber salad was vinegary and refreshing while the Mac and cheese was creamy and saucy. Overall great meal and good portions for the 25$ price point.
