From the very beginning, I was looking for a place that prioritized small class sizes and a more personalized experience--especially after a less-than-ideal OW certification elsewhere. This team delivered on every front. I started communicating with Becky months in advance, and she was incredibly helpful; promptly answering all my questions, coordinating dives for my husband while I did my course, and even sending calendar reminders. That level of professionalism set the tone before we even arrived. I was lucky to have Kostas as my instructor and even luckier to be the only student in my class. He was calm, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Even though he's newer to Cabo, he already has a deep understanding of local marine life. He knew exactly where to look for megafauna and pointed out several rare species during our dives, which made the experience even more special. We dove Pelican Rock, Land's End, and made the unforgettable trip to Cabo Pulmo, where Polo led our excursion. He made sure everything ran smoothly from park briefings to safety checks. During our surface interval, we got to meet some of his fisherman friends who were camping during triggerfish season, and after our dives, we enjoyed a delicious local lunch and even met one of the OG Cabo Pulmo dive shop owners. Everyone we interacted with including Chuy, Baptiste, the boat captains, and the rest of the team, were warm, professional, and clearly passionate about diving and marine life conservation. If you're considering diving in Cabo, whether it's for fun dives or training, don't hesitate to book with this shop. I left with two new certifications, some amazing memories, and a newfound confidence and excitement for diving. 10/10 recommend!

Most could do the diver part, but not the CPR/EFR training. Luckily, these guys could do both of the trainings. I had a different instructor for the EFR training (Fabian) and the Rescue Diver training (Ariana). Both instructors were very knowledgeable, provided good training, and answered all my questions. They provided kind but constructive feedback to make sure I understood the task being performed. Although these training courses helped prepare me and certify me, and I did feel prepared, it was without a doubt, that continued practicing will be vital. I rented equipment from them for the training. The wetsuits I tried on were in good shape. The BCDs were also in pretty good shape, but they only had a limited amount of sizes to choose from. I ended up with a mask that was a little too big and leaked while under water. Regardless, those are easy fixes for this dive shop (although costly). Like most of the Cabo San Lucas dive shops, these guys do not own their own boats. Part of my training included a simulated use of first aid gear on the boat. Upon checking the rescue kit, it was found that some of the items were either expired, spent (previously used and not replenished/replaced), or missing. My dive instructor and I were very concerned with this and informed the boat captain who provides dive services to multiple dive shops. This of course, is not Ninja's responsibility. However, they do carry the PADI 5 Star rating...to me, that should mean that I can rely on them to ensure that all the necessary safety protocols, including those on the boat, are provided. I could tell that both my instructors took this lapse very serious.

We were picked up by a driver in a passenger van prior and dropped off after which was great since we knew we would have some cocktails on board the boat. He was great! Very nice and took good care of us. When we arrived, the driver escorted us to the Cabo Adventure center where we were met by one of the crew members and then escorted to the boat following check-in. We walked a short distance to the boat, passing by many vendors and shops who of course chased you down for sales, donations, etc. But all is good, just say no thank you and they leave you alone. We arrived to the boat and were introduced to our captain, and team. Mauricio, Manuel and Derick. All three were very nice. They catered to whatever we requested from drinks, lunch and snorkeling time. When we arrived, they shared we had a photographer taking pictures throughout the day. I was excited as I am usually the one always taking photos so it would be nice to have a photographer taking pictures of our group instead of me. And, to have professional photos would be great! I only snapped a couple of pictures as we boarded because it looked like he was taking a lot of photos of us in front of the arches, hanging on the boat, etc. throughout the afternoon. I also thought the photos were included. They are not. The boat ride was great. Drinks were great. They made cocktails for us. Snorkeling was nice. Views were beautiful. They answered our questions of the area. We have a delicious light lunch of chips and guac, pasta salad, chicken salad and fruit. The staff couldn't be nicer. The photographer is nice. When we arrived back at the center, we were directed to the "photography" area where we quickly learned our photos would be $200! I calmly said let me look at the photos because if they are really that good, I'll pay for great photos. Sadly, they were all just awful! Only 1 decent photo out of 50 or so photos and even that photo needed major editing. Shadows, weird light. We had 2 different group shots. The photos in front of the arches, the top of the arches were cut off! Who cuts off the arches? Not one good picture in front of the arches. They do NOT have professional photographers my friends. Take your own photos. Don't let them convince you otherwise. I still purchased 3 photos as I thought I could use apps to improve them and wanted a memory of our day. $100 for 3 photos. Such a disappointment. I want to give this company 3 stars because of the photo situation but the rest of the experience was great and the photo situation is obviously a personal preference. If I had any photos other than 2, I would share them, TAKE YOUR OWN PHOTOS. Do not let them talk you into their photographer or you will be disappointed and out a lot of money.

Our trainer and instructor Nely was great, important and useful information on safety for both us humans and dolphin Kobe, some general guidelines plus buoyancy jackets and masks brought to us. Kobe is a four year old male, excited to have new friends to show off his talents, and had fun with us and loved his gentle massages. I could've stayed in the water all day but of course couldn't .. Nely taught how to get Kobe to spin, be a shark zooming to us, blowing underwater rings, and other tricks. Best morning experience coming here. There are lockers as you're not allowed to keep jewelry, watches, earrings and such on while in with the dolphins; NO sunscreen either, but call and ask about reef safe sunscreen when you book if it's ok: I believe the policy is absolutely none. We don't want to unwittingly harm the dolphins when hugging ! I suggest you book direct with them as opposed to through your hotel or other agencies. While waiting to be escorted to the pool there's some chairs and tables in the shade near the lockers, after you check in. Inside you can have sandwiches and some other snacks, beer, sodas and such; also a selection of T-shirts, sweatshirts rashguards, hats, and lots of dolphin plushies.

She arranged a two day trip for us to see the grey whales with their babies in the "Santuario de la Ballena Gris", and planned another day for us to swim with the whale sharks. She planned every detail. Communication was perfect and she is organized and prepared. A true professional, she was also so flexible about allowing us to decide how to spend our time, giving us plenty of ideas, and switching things around when we wanted to. She took care of all the transportation, permits, snacks and meals, boats and wonderful captains, wetsuits, equipment, Spanish translation, and lodging near the grey whale sanctuary. We learned so much from her and always felt safe and cared for. We were fortunate enough to observe caracaras, countless grey whales feeding and training their babies to prepare for their long migration, and herons and seabirds on our trip to the reserve. She had a long drive, but the experience was phenomenal. Then we had planned to see the whale sharks, planning the entire trip around the peak time for whale shark viewing -- but on the day of our trip, the whale shark refuge was closed (I believe because the previous winds had encouraged them to move 60 miles away to feed, something that was unprecedented). Although we expect they'll be back soon, we had to decide what to do with our last day with Karen. She had so many fantastic ideas and was able to pivot her plans, preparation, boat and captain to a custom-designed trip for us. She drove us to La Paz with a plan to take us out to swim with the sea lions at Espiritu Santo, part of a UNESCO world heritage site. But before we got to the snorkeling site, we were astonished to have two juvenile humpbacks repeatedly breaching out of the water in front of us. We were the only boat around and paused to peacefully observe their playful antics so close to us. We also got to see blue footed boobies and frigatebirds with their red breasts on our way to the site. Then to the sea lions. The pups were around 4 months old and many of their mothers were off fishing, so the pups hopped in the water with us to play as we snorkeled over the beautiful reef. Karen pointed out so much while we snorkeled together. It was an experience of a lifetime and we felt like we had so much time enjoying the pups; other boats were there but Karen guided us to an area where we felt like we could really enjoy the pups in solitude. They tugged on my fins and jumped on my back more than once. Back on the boat and on our way to our next stop, we paused to enjoy the playful dolphins checking us out. Peaceful and touching experience. Our final stop that day was Balandra Beach. We walked from the boat in the shallow clear turquoise water all the way to the sandy beach and enjoyed solitude at the beach, listed as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. When we returned to the boat, they had prepared a delicious fresh ceviche lunch that the captain had prepared. It was a perfect three days and we plan to return again to see the whale sharks! I cannot see any reason to enjoy this area with anyone else and highly recommend it. Definitely take some time from your Cabo or La Paz vacation to explore with Karen.

I wanted to use a company other than the big one in town to see how the the experience would be. CaboTrek respects the whales in giving them their space, and if there are a lot of boats to join in around the whales that they are watching, they the boat will move on to other whales. My wife and I took part in a baby turtle release, and a few whale watch trips with the deal on multiple whale watch trips. They are easy to book activities online or by phone. Our 1st activity the baby sea turtle release. We took a bus ride up the Pacific Ocean coast to the beach for release. The marine biologist in charge of project gave a presentation on the various turtle species, how they lay the eggs. Maria, a marine biologist with Cabo Trek, was our host with the company for the trip. She also helped with any questions, and assist the slowest turtles with a lift into the water after a while before the birds showed up. We went on a few whale watch trips the next 2 days. CaboTrek uses small boats with cover that can carry up to about 12 passengers. There is a marine biologist to answer any questions and take pictures. The 1st day was a very unique experience in that we had 2 whales decide to have curiosity fun with our boat and 2 others in putting on a show. These 2 whales spy hopped, fin slapped the water, tail slapped the water, full breach jumps, and swim under the boats several times. The 2nd day we saw momma and a baby humpback whale. The marine biologist estimated the baby to be about 2 or 3 weeks old. The baby decided to showoff for mom in jumping part way out of the water. This was a wonderful unusual experience to see. In the office Bee is great to work with in booking activities and any issues. The marine biologist are Andrea, Adrian, and Maria. They are all very knowledgeable about the ocean wildlife and nice. With small whale watch groups we got a more personable experience. The boat captains Adrian and Freddie are great in getting the boats around crowd at the Arch, and working around to find the whales for a wonderful whale watch trip. We will be returning in the future for more fun wonderful experiences.

This tour company is timely - after checking in we were asked to be back by 8:55am for our 9am tour, and we were walking to the vessel very shortly after. We wanted a tour that included the Arch and whale watching. We chose this tour as opposed to another tour that we were considering because there was more than 20 minutes of whale watching, and this tour WAS WORTH IT!! Towards the end of our time we'd located a small group of whales that were showing off with belly slaps and breaching...and our guides stuck around so that we could see them repeatedly so this instead of rushing us back to the pier because we were at time.

They provided everything we needed for a safe, fun dive, including refreshments, a tour of the area, and a 100% O2 tank for my rebreather. I honestly didn't have very high expectations for a DSD, but Juan was an excellent Dive Guide and setup a profile that was perfect for the two of us. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and sea life, pointing out a ton of awesome fish, some eels, and even a tiny white nudibranch. The team had us meeting there at 7am and at some places that means more like 8 or 8:30am, but the shop staff showed up 15 min early (at 6:45am) in order to be all setup for us when we got there. The shop area is much larger than I expected and has a very nice outdoor area with deep pool for training, lots of tables and long benches to get your dive gear sorted, as well as clean bathrooms and outdoor showers.
