They were all complete pros. I loved MC's briefing which was thorough and engaging. During dive one he dealt with an unsafe diver in a very firm and reassuring way. All throughout MC made sure all divers were comfortable and happy. Then, what started as a two tank tour at corridor ended with an insane whale show with baby humpbacks breaching less than 50m from the boat. Captain Alex was able to spot whales before they surfaced and got us in prime position for viewing and photos. You get your bang for your buck with this dive shop. From scheduling with Solomon to diving with Kostas, Gaia, and Malina, we had a wonderful experience. They took such great care of us. The instructors did everything from setting up our gear and changing our tanks, and guiding us on each dive. The dive conditions vary hourly but the captains made sure we were always safe and the guides never got lost no matter the conditions. I loved how they took pictures and videos on each dive then shared it all with us. Our son is a young diver and he was not only welcomed but supported in developing his dive skills. Took a couple fun dives and then took an advanced dive course that included 5 dives over two days. All of the dives were near the arch which is just a 5-10 min boat ride from the shop. They do 2 morning dives and 2 afternoon dives so you have just about an hour for lunch. While we were here, each boat ride had about 6-8 divers plus multiple guides plus a captain of course. My two instructors, Renson and Laroux, were outstanding and really helped me improve buoyancy and just being calmer at diving. Eric was a great captain and super helpful getting all of us in and out and keeping it safe. All the guides were knowledgable and able to answer questions even if they were not guiding you. They also share pictures with you after each session. They upload them direct to your phone or bring a usb drive. The photos were a really cool addition to the overall experience. The downside was that we really only hit 2-3 dive sites close to the arch so I was seeing the same things over and over between the 7 dives. It was not that important since I was focusing on diving skills but had they all been fun dives it would have been less interesting. So be sure to talk to them about maximizing a diversity of dive sites if that is important to you. read more

Worked with Dive Cabo to finally acquire my advanced open water atfter 27 years of diving. Their dove crew made me feel very comfortable throughout my ten dives. They kept and washed my gear for me so I didn't have to haul it back and forth. They took tons of pictures which they transferred via airdrop which made it so each. I did a 4 day package with Dive Cabo and it was fantastic! The employees treat you like friends. The instructors are knowledgeable about the area and sites and their captains are solid. The guides even take down GoPros with them and take pictures and videos of stuff we were seeing, as well of all the divers. These photos and videos were provided to all the divers free of charge at the shop. So fantastic! I was hear in July and swam with thousands of mobula rays, saw a hammerhead close up, and a school of four a bit further away. Silky sharks would circle us for extended periods. So much fun! Fantastic dive outfit! From pickup, to boat launch to return everything was on time and perfectly executed to the minute! Super impressed with everything! Renson, Leroux & Sandra are awesome, super professional dive masters! Between two dive trips, they were super warm & helpful, & safety conscious. Since we had two consecutive days of diving booked, they let us keep our equipment in their shop overnight so we didn't have to shlep it there both mornings. Then they rinsed all our equipment off & kept it overnight to dry after the last day, so we didn't have to deal with that at our resort. They always pointed out sea lions, cool fish & octopi & rays, and made sure everyone in the group saw them. And when Renson saw a mama & baby whale swim up right next to the boat, he rushed to put on a mask & grabbed his GoPro and dove in to film THE MOST AMAZING CLIP of the baby whale breaching! Made 2 dives at the Corridor in Cabo San Lucas. We saw an abundance of sealife. While doing our Surface Interval between dives, a whale breached the surface! On our second dive we were fortunate to have 8 spotted Ray's swimming around us for about 10 minutes. Truly amazing ! Our Dive Master MC was fantastic and was very attentive. I had a two-tank local dive with dive guide Max, and I am still wondering why I got a bad attitude from him. At the end of the dive, Max blamed me for being below him during the dive, said "it was very bad behavior". He said because I didn't have a dive computer, I couldn't know the diving time. 1, before the diving, he emphasized the danger of the boats, and said we would be in trouble if we see him from top. That was partly why I was careful not to be above him. 2, it was not a very deep dive site. I had logged 19 dives including some deeper ones. No dive guide had problem just because I was not at exactly the same level. 3, After reviewing the videos I took, I have confirmed that most of the time I was at about the same level as the others. While for a few times when I was a few meters below Max, he angrily indicated me to come up. I followed but didn't quite understand why. Well, technically I didn't exactly follow the textbook all the time. But I don't think it was a big issue that would cause serious problem. I am trying to understand his attitude but have found it difficult... read more

This place is great! We schedule two excursions with them, a scuba trip and a snorkeling trip. We did scuba first and had the pleasure of diving with LeRioux and we couldn't be happier. It had been two years since my last dive and he was patient and professional as I got acclimated to diving again. In addition to LeRioux, the entire staff, from the other dive masters to the boat captain were amazing. Our second outing was with Yitka and Captain Eric. Again, we could not have asked for a better experience. They took us out and found us dolphins to swim with, which was an amazing experience. Thank you to Dive Cabo and my dive buddy/guide, Diego, for a very memorable experience. Booking was easy and Soloman was very communicative via email. My dive was for a 2 tank-dive at 1:30 pm August 15th. As this is the slow season, I was lucky enough to have Diego as my guide and it was just us two. Also on the boat were a father and two sons undergoing their training course with a separate guide. We dove the sites Pelican Rock and North Wall. We went down to 94 feet on the first and stayed at around 50-60 feet on the second and had a nice 45 minute dive. Good equipment, good briefing during the dive and excellent safety and communication under the water. I felt like I was in good hands, and never felt nervous even though at a previous dive in Florida I had had the opposite feeling that my guide was not paying attention to me. Not the case with Dive Cabo! They even take pictures during the dive which they supply at no extra cost. We saw stingrays, lobsters, and even a manta ray. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this operation to my friends. And the price was good- $80 for a two tank dive plus $30 to rent all the equipment, including a dive computer. I hope to come back some time! One thing to note, the shop is hard to find as it is not visible from the marina. I had to ask a helpful local to show me where to go. Be careful that you are not led to a different dive shop. read more

Another great week of diving with Dive Cabo. We did four trips to the local marine park, a day trip to Cabo Pulmo, and one set of dives along the Corridor, for a total of 12 dives for each of us. We normally go to Cabo in October or November but July seems like a good time - Okay, anytime is a good time to dive in CSL. July seems to be mobula month as we saw hundreds, if not thousands, of them. It is hard to count when they are streaming by in a column 40-feet tall and several minutes long. We saw them jumping on the way, and underwater, at the Local and Corridor sites. We also saw huge schools of jacks and scorpion puffer fish. At Cabo Pulmo we had a dive with a "fish tornado" followed by a trip to the wreck where we were treated to multiple HUGE bull sharks. I arranged the diving for our group ahead of arrival with Salomon and everything was in place when we arrived. Everyone on Staff was great, with a special shout out to Salomon (Shop Manager), Sandra (Dive Guide), and Larue (Roo, the new Dive Guide). Most days there were groups with different levels of experience and each group had a Guide and dive that was customized for their dive capability. Our group had a good amount of liveaboard and cold-water Pacific Northwest experience and were treated to some more adventurous dives. The boat was comfortable, nitrox was included, as were water and snacks. The Dive Guides take pictures and video which you can download (USB drive, Air Drop, or other) after the dives. We have dove with Dive Cabo previously and had a great time then, and had a great time last week, so I expect we will make Dive Cabo our go to dive operator. read more

This was my first time scuba diving. We came to Dive Carbo based on my brother-in-law's recommendation, he made the booking and arranged our visit. Since I had never been scuba diving before, I was offered a discovery dive. After a 20 minute video, and a few minutes spent fitting flippers and masks. We were on our way out to the boat. Instructions were reviewed once again, then we headed to Pelican Rock. It was only about a 10 minute ride to get to where we would jump into the water. The first jump was not hard but the coaching was very helpful and patient. Once in the water we reviewed some of the skills that we would need to use while scuba diving, Kevin our primary instructor, was very helpful, kind, and very funny. He was always there and offered a light hand while helping us learn the skills required to scuba dive. Soon we were below water and actually diving! It was incredible. We started to see fish and soon all the coaching was taking place using hand signals. Charlie was our other guide, he had a Go Pro and took lots of photos (which they gave us for no charge at our dives) and also brought up the rear of the group to help with anyone who might have been lagging behind or having issues. We scuba dived around one rock and then soon were scuba diving all the way around Pelican Rock which was quite large and did have an area that was quite a bit deeper. It was so exciting and the fish were amazing. Next we came up to the boat and moved to Lands End, just on the other side of the rocky outcropping. The water was a bit rougher but with our calm coaching, we were not too nervous. We dived into the water and were soon 40 feet below water around a shipwreck with lots of seals and even more amazing fish. The service provided by Dive Cabo was awesome. Everyone had a great dive, those with lots of experience, in addition to those four of us who had never dived before. The company is very professional yet they provide an easy-going and pleasurable experience. Not at any time that I feel unsafe or not cared for. I highly recommend Dive Cabo to experienced and inexperienced divers. read more

I did a 3 day, 6 tank dive with them this week. It was a great experience, Salomon is very responsive and had no problem booking my dives. The shop is tucked away in a small shopping center but it wasn't too difficult to find it. The boats are clean, the staff are very friendly and professional. I had 3 different guides and all knew the area very well. They explained what to expect and what we're going to do precisely. The gears are a bit outdated but works just fine, for example we were using weight belts most of the time. The sites they took us to were great fun, and divers at any level would find something for themselves. I highly recommend this shop and would go with them again next time in Cabos. read more

My boyfriend and I did the discovery course and it was so wonderful! The staff are so kind & passionate about what they do. You don't have to go into a pool beforehand which is nice. We dove with Andres - he made me feel so safe and helped me remain calm when I was nervous. The discovery dive is at pelican beach and it is so beautiful there! We saw tons of fishes, a stingray, a sea lion, and eels. It was amazing! I recommend bringing a beer with you to enjoy when you finish if it's allowed. I wanted to write you and tell you how poorly I feel your crew acted last Sat. First the guy at the front desk was rude and very standoffish not till I gave him a tip did he straighten up but since I had emailed you my padi certificate one would have thought you would have had it. The dive master was nice enough but he was very young and while I don't believe he had any deficiency in skills. He lacked people experience. In hindsight at the end off what was a shortened crap experience he said "he should have cancelled the trip" The area they use to dive was super congested with boats all trying to jockey for position. The wind can up and now we are rocking back and forth on this boat getting sicker by the second as the instructor drones on with his instructions about how t use the regulator under water...... I had to tell him to get moving we understood the instructions. We entered the water ok but my weight belt slide off  or nearly it wasn't secured properly .....this after the instructor and the boat mate secured it. The water was super ruff now and my wife who had never dove before was scared (VERY) and I had to calm her down..... we tried to desend for the bottom to do yet more drills..... the surge was so bad there was no way we could have sat on the bottom and did the drills. As I looked to my left there was the instructor trying to get us to do the drills in the murky sand whipped bottom of the bay..... I wasn't training to be a SEAL, I signaled no joy and ascended to the top. I was thoroughly sea sick. We reached the serface and they wanted to re position the boat be fore we climbed on, there was a rope in the water and it had wrapped around my tank and when the boat went in reveres it drug me with it. Not far but unsettling at best. We came aboard And I threw up what I could........ Not once did any one talk about reimbursement. We had been out for an hour. Personally I will not use Dive Cabo and I will post this email on Trip advisor and YELP.  90 percent of this is your companies fault. I have about 150 dives in more than 7 countries and Dive Cabo has been the absolute worst dive shop with which I have ever done business. I have NEVER submitted a negative review about a dive shop before. I chose to go with this shop even though it was more expensive because we were trying to certify 3 new divers and I wanted the best for them. GEAR: Extremely crappy, cheap, generic rental gear. Everyone wearing the shop's mask came out of the water with horrible red marks between their eyes and in pain. They do not bring everyone's gear or enough for everyone. We watched them run back to the shop on every dive and had to share gear on the tours. They offer free gear storage except they don't keep track of each individual's gear. We had to rummage around looking for all our stuff every day. This makes things difficult for both the divers and the guides. They had bags, but they'd just pile random gear in them. I had a different wetsuit every dive and two of them left rust marks on my expensive swimsuits that I cannot remove. STAFF: Most of the staff is not laid back or friendly. I went into the shop the first day and no one acknowledged my existence. I felt rushed and like I was an annoyance by simply being there. Don't expect a "Don't worry, be happy" attitude here. Geraldo is by far the worst instructor and guide I've ever experienced. He never pointed at anything. At Cabo Pulmo he left us without any information about restrooms or water wondering what on earth was going on for more than an hour twice. There were showers, bathrooms, and a cute little town to explore there for us but he didn't tell us about it. We didn't get a break during the 2 hour drive there or back. The snorkeling and beach area at Cabo Pulmo are gorgeous but they didn't let our two snorkelers come along like we requested. Geraldo brought our newly certified diver down too fast on a dive with no current. She ended up with a bloody nose on the ascent. He didn't show her how to fill out her log book or give her any basic information about her dives to enter into the log book. They don't respond to email once they have you "in their clutches." PAYMENT: The payment system. They demand money prior to dives and prefer all dives are fully paid in advance. They won't take a credit card as a backup in case someone doesn't pay. They have a THREE day cancellation policy. Every time we got back from a dive Solomon was there demanding payment up front in full for the next 2 days of diving. Innocent until proven guilty does not apply here. DIVING: The dives offered no shore leave for surface interval. I watched people get sick on the boat on one of the tours which could have been prevented if we'd just gone ashore for a few minutes. They offered the worst snacks I'd ever seen on a dive boat. They never told divers to drink water before the dives which is so important. My sister-in-law overheated quite dramatically after being told to put on a 5mm wetsuit then required to sit in the full sun for 20 minutes in the wetsuit before entering the water. It's no wonder she didn't finish her certification. When I helped her cool off in the water, she was burning up. I'm surprised she didn't get heat stroke. There is no fresh water on boat for rinsing off. The rinse tank on the boat was pitiful. There was barely an inch of water in it and it was old stinky water. There is one shower in the middle of the shop and no bathroom or hose offered anywhere near the boat slip or the shop. The shop is a very small box so it's not very private to take a shower in the middle of it and by the time you get there you're dry. They do not offer towels. The bathroom (about a block away) was closed one day and you need a "ticket" to get into it. There are no showers in the bathroom. NITROX: They offer free nitrox, but had none. TOURS: Whale Shark Tour. 2 hour drive and no fresh water to rinse off after the snorkel. The food was ok. No snacks or water offered in the car. AC wasn't working in the back of the van on the way back. The two "tours" were way over priced at $200 each for what we received. I would think they could afford to make things more comfortable and entertaining for the cost. Be sure and take your own gear. They don't EVER have everyone's gear. We watched people struggle with this our whole trip. They also switch gear around constantly so you never have the same gear twice. This is confusing for beginners who may, for example, have an integrated weight system in one BCD then have to use a weight belt on the next. I had a pretty comfortable wetsuit for my first dives, but never saw it again. FREE PHOTOS: Dive Cabo offers free photos of the dives. This is a great idea and a wonderful benefit to divers. We got photos two days of the 7 days we dove with them. So don't expect them to provide photos or video. Find another dive shop. read more

I did 1 dive with Dany from Dive Cabo and it was a lot of fun! Their prices are great: $85 for the Cabo San Lucas marine park dive which include 2 tanks, weights, drinks, and snacks; $30 for full day full rental; BCD, mask, regulator, fins for $5 each, and wetsuit for $10. I brought my own equipment except for the BCD, and if you pay with cash, you get 10% discount! They require a $25 deposit per person in order to reserve your spot on the boat. On our boat there was only 6 customers. Another couple dove with a male divemaster, my 3 friends snorkeled, and I dove with Dany. She led me around Pelican Rock and pointed out marine life. She took pictures of me and the marine life with her GoPro that later was transferred to me via USB. Visibility wasn't great and it was pretty cold, so I'm glad she made me layer on another wetsuit on top of mine. I got a bit motion sick after my first dive so I opted to hang out with my friends on Lover's Beach for about 40 minutes while the boat took the other couple to another dive site. They were all very accommodating. Afterwards, I left my gear with them for them to wash and picked it up the next day. The unfortunate thing is that they aren't very adequately staffed; when there's a dive tour, there's usually no staff in the office so it's locked. You have to come around 8am, 1:30pm, or 5:00pm to catch them. I also forgot them ask them to fill out my dive log. Darn it. Oh well. read more
