Best fish tacos in Boston! It's not too fried but crispy and the sauce is delicious. The nachos are also amazing.

After reading the reviews and looming at the photos I was looking forward to a nice Fish Taco...Pictures are very deceiving...What looks like two pieces of deep fried battered fish in between fresh Tacos...Was 2 fish sticks on two tortillias the size of an english muffin with lettus and quac sauce...Two bites and my meal was over. Photos show containers filled with food....Absolutely not. Not bad tasting....But take both Taco's and Street corn and tje size isn"t even 1/2 of a Taco Bell Taco...Nevet agsin read more

Had the Baja fish tacos. The flavors were unexpected and I could hardly taste the fish. All I could taste was garlic and tahini for some reason. It was like eating a fish falafel. I'm calling this place, Beirut Box. The flavors were more Middle Eastern rather than Mexican. In the end, it was good as the tacos are fresh, but I was disappointed as I couldn't really taste the fish. read more

Came in for an ice cream but got excited when I saw all the Mexican food and ended up getting tacos instead. Decided on the beef barbacoa which came with guacamole for no extra charge. The flavors worked great with it! My friend got a strawberry Sunday which I was allowed to try a bite of and it tasted fresh and delicious. Great little place, looking forward to returning! read more

Chicken Tinga, Carnitas and Barbacoa tacos... amazing! Great price and great location (maybe to good) right down the street from my place ;) read more

Baja Box - Tacos Near Me - Quincy, Massachusetts

My favorite spot on Wollaston beach for some tasty food. The Chicken Tinga and Beef Barbacao tacos are so flavorful and fresh. The mexican street corn is my favorite, mouthwatering and delicious. Can't wait to try more of their menu items. The prices are reasonable unlike this establishment's neihboring eateries. There is plenty of beach parking across the street and a fair amount of outdoor seating in front of the building. read more

Great cheap eats in a scenic location. They've become our go to take out spot. Eager to try delivery. Great guac! Love the shrimp tacos.

Best fish tacos in town! Right across from the beach. Always enjoy coming here in the summer, cute small patio to eat outside. Ice cream after is a plus too! read more

This shop sold me at peanut butter pie ice cream! It was a hot summer day and I was really craving for some ice cream so we came here. I ordered the kiddie size on a cup for only $2.95. Expecting it to be a dinky sized cup, I was surprised to see how big the cup was.....I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing because I can only ever finish kiddie sized ice creams hahaha. But obviously good thing because I'm paying only $3 for a size that could pass off as small at bigger chain ice cream shops. Let's talk about the ice cream though because that is what really won my heart. The peanut putter pie has a perfect mix of peanut butter and chocolate bits! They also have graham cracker crumble (I believe) so everything just goes well with each other. The cookies and cream was delicious too! Usually don't like cookies and cream but man was that good. This would totally be my summer spot if Quincy wasn't so far away! read more

Baja Box - Tacos Near Me - Quincy, Massachusetts

See all

One of the best taco/nacho/ice cream places in Boston. I was so surprised to find this little gem and very happy as well.

Decent food but orders are 2 tacos. I wanted 3. Asked if I could just get charged for an extra taco but they said no. So the only way to get 3 tacos is to order 4. Pretty ridiculous for a taco shack to be that strict about something as simple as making a taco. Bad service = a bad restaurant. Would not recommend. read more

I love going to the Baja Box. I have been going about once a week since the beginning of June. It is located right on Wollaston beach which is fun, and the tacos are very good. They do two tacos to an order which is perfect for me and the crema and slaw and all the fixings they use are super tasty. I have only ever gotten the shrimp tacos and the avocado tacos. They are both so good I can't bring myself to try anything else! The tacos are all around $8 which I absolutely think is worth it. This is definitely my favorite spot on Wollaston beach. read more

I like this place a lot! It's the only fish taco place I know in Quincy. Fish tacos are delicious but the fish can be a little soggy and not as crispy. But they give you big pieces of fish and the flavor is nice. The corn is also very very good. And they have icecream?! What more can I ask for. This place is more like a 4.5 star place. read more

Awesome tacos, very high quality for $8. Can't wait to check out the Ice cream sundays.

This place is delicious! My husband and I got three tacos (2 for $8 or $7 depending on what meat you get) and they were really filled- didn't skimp on the meat and veggies. The soft taco itself was very soft and not flaky. Service was really quick and the place is really clean. I thought that the price was reasonable because of the amount of food (and the toppings were TO DIE FOR- pickled onions, different kinds of cheeses, parsley, cilantro sauce all on different types of tacos but they clearly have put a lot of effort in marrying the flavours). Definitely go, grab a couple of tacos and grab a seat outside where you can enjoy the beach and amazing food! read more

I had really good GRILLED fish Tacos here tonight which I picked as relatively more healthy being grilled rather than fried. Yes, as the other reviews say it's only two small tacos for $8 but, it is on the beach after all with the really high rents they must pay, and the short season they have, but these were very very good and reasonably filling. Could I could I have eaten a more typical third one for the same price? Sure, but that's why I'm overweight. And compared to the other Beach food that's available that's pretty good - to be under $10. I first stopped at Tony's Clam Shop which for my money and decades of experience I've been going there is absolutely the best fried seafood you can find anywhere, but decided that $19.95 for a small fried clam was more than I wanted to pay and besides I was trying to be a little bit healthy so I looked on Yelp and found Baja Box. When I got there I was delighted to see there was grilled fish available as well as fried. (In case you're interested a medium fried clam at Tony's is $28.95 and a large is a nickel short of $50. I don't begrudge Tony's that because their food is wonderful but 8 bucks is better.) read more

We loved the food here. Pleasantly surprised to find this when we went down for a walk on the beach and fried seafood. We had shrimp tacos, fish tacos, grilled chicken tacos, and nachos. All the food was really fresh, toppings were delicious, and tacos were filling! They also have a good selection of ice cream. We will definitely be back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. The fish tacos are awesome! The street corn is also awesome. I came on a weekday at noon and the service was fast and everyone was nice. I can't wait to come back. read more

Hands down the best fish tacos around. The line can get long but if you hit it right you can have a scrumptious, made to order, dinner in as little as 5 min. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by how good these tacos were! Quincy is known for having bad Mexican food and this is a welcome exception. We had the carnitas, fried fish, and beef tacos. They come 2 to an order and the servings are pretty substantial. Messy and tasty as good Street tacos should be! read more

Unassuming from the front, the food here is ridiculously good. Have tried every taco on the menu. Shrimp so far is the fave with large and generous portion of shrimp. Street corn is addictive, and toasted coconut ice cream is to die for. Fast and friendly service with great location across from Wollaston beach. read more

I have been coming here since they opened and today was absolutely appalled by the attitude and service that was brought forth. I ordered a large mix soft served it came out like a pancake. For 5$ you're better off taking a trip to Dairy Queen where at least you won't get verbally slapped in the face with attitude by the employees. read more

The icecream was good... the service not so good/rushed: didn't get a cone or one of the two flavors I asked for because of this. It's a great location right across from Wollaston beach so I would come again. If located elsewhere, I'd not return. read more

Walking along Quincy Shore Drive, we came across The Ice Box. The workers are extremely friendly and are not hesitant to give you samples of any flavours. Be aware that the portions are bigger than they sound. The small is two huge scoops. So, from that, I'm assuming the kids size is one scoop and the large is like four....A wide range of flavours to choose from! I'll be back one day! read more

The tacos here are somewhat expensive; since you only get two. On the other hand, this is a really good spot to get ice cream, which comes in 3 different sizes and in a cone or a cup. It's right on Wollaston beach, and ice cream goes hand in hand with a hot summer day. read more

Their fish tacos and corns are the best! Will miss them a lot during the winter time. Can't wait for April

We enjoyed a beautiful walk down Wollaston beach, followed by lunch at Tony's and then popped by here for some ice cream. We had chocolate/vanilla swirl cones and a lime slushie. The cones were delish and HUGE. We got "smalls" but would have probably been fine with a kiddie. Lime slushie was super tasty too. Service was over the long weekend (so maybe tired from the rush?), but not particularly very friendly. Overall though, great spot for a cool treat on a hot day. Lots of flavors. Sitting area outside. Tons of free parking in front of the beach or across the street in lots. read more

Good food, service, and of course the view! Nice and friendly staff. Plenty of parking available too.

I decided to stop in today for the first time and get a soft serve twist. It was dense, creamy and delicious. It reminded me of the softserve I used to get a Kelly's Kreme on Revere Beach as a child. I can't wait to try their other ice cream and food. read more

That was bomb! I got a small burrito and inhaled it within 5 min! It was a perfect snack for me, very flavorful. I got beef for my choice of meat. I will set go back for more! read more

This used to be Ice Box (just ice cream) but now they have awesome tacos! Don't worry, they still have ice cream too. There's just a handful of choices but we had both types of fish tacos and the grilled chicken tacos. They were all super yummy with interesting flavors. If you have a huge appetite you may want to order chips too because and order is 2 tacos but the prices are really reasonable. The chips have a nice squirt of lime and the guava is good too. I'm psyched this place added tacos! read more

The seafood tacos are amazing. For $8 you get two filling and quality tacos. The best food option by the beach. The ice cream is also tasty! This place is worth a wait in line if there is one, which usually there is because it is so good! read more

Our tacos were somehow cold and and soggy right after ordering them. The taste wasn't anything special. I heard they have good ice cream though but we weren't impressed by the tacos. read more

I had extremely low expectations going in when it first opened but I was surprisingly happy. The chicken tinga tacos are a 5/5 and the fact the they serve ice cream is a weird blessing. Ice cream and tacos shouldn't work but they do!!!! The tacos are soft shell like all tacos should be and wait time is usually short. If you're on wolly beach don't go to the clam box next door head here. read more

Well, whattaya know?!? The clam box's ice cream spot is no longer located along the side of the restaurant. It now has its own location, and its own name! Nice. I ordered a kiddie sized lemon slush. Richie slushies are always good, so I won't comment on the taste. But, I will comment on how it was scooped out. In lumpy bit and pieces. It made it particularly difficult to eat. Pieces of slush kept falling out of my cup. And in my book, it's a grave sin to waste slushie. Not good... not good at all. On the flip side, there was little to no wait, the staff was kind, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I'll be here again. I'm sure of it. read more

Very happy with my tacos and ice cream. This place is going to kill it on Wollaston beach this summer. Simple tacos, and sauces made with care, and not too much salt. Awesome. read more

Worst ice cream I've ever had. Tonight was my 3rd (and last) time going because it's close and after each time I'm like, "I must have just gotten a bad flavor because how can ice cream be bad?!" But nope, it's gross. How a place can mess up ice cream is beyond me. read more

i had muddy boots ice cream it was delicious it had calmel and fudge chunks very fresh and creamy perfect size i had a small and almost couldn't finish. my wife had pistachio which had lots of actual pistachios in in and strong pistachio flavor it has been a few years since she has been able to get a good pistachio ice cream and has almost given up trying but was rewarded with this treat we were there after 9pm on a friday night and it was not busy. it is directly accross from the beach and i get a feeling on a hot day this place is packed definate reccomend read more

I was visiting from out of state and decided to get ice cream with my boyfriend after a long day at the beach. The ice cream here is delicious! It's a bang for your buck too. The ice cream is served in a cup, big enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. They don't skimp on the ice cream, toppings, or whip cream. Definitely will make this visit every time I'm in the area. Also, friendly staff and the place is kept spotless. Awesome that it's right across from the beach too! read more
