Always delicious and quality ingredients for tacos, salads and guac/salsa! Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Great idea to put a taco joint across from the beach. It beats the other options that have your typical seafood. This place gets pretty busy when it's nice out, so be prepared to wait in a line for a bit. They have a decent selection of ice cream, shakes, as well as different tacos, street corn, nachos, etc. The nachos are excellent and make for a good snack while you're hanging at the beach. read more

Don't really understand the hype about this place, to be honest. Food quality was good, but not at all worth the price point on the menu for what you get, especially considering the small portion size. I was honestly shocked when I saw how much they charged for 2 simple tacos. When you're this close to the beach people will pay whatever out of convenience, I guess. The establishment itself leaves a lot to be desired. Not a whole lot here besides the counter and some small picnic tables. I went when it wasn't busy and was left waiting for my food for a surprisingly long time. I also really wish the window where you placed your food order wasn't the same place where people go to get ice cream. I know this seems like a dumb complaint but wait until you're trying to get some tacos and there's a dozen kids running around all trying to get a cone of something. Could be better organized, is all I'm saying. read more

The beef barbacoa tacos were incredible, and very fairly priced. My wife also loved her Baja fish tacos. Definitely coming back

We got there today (6/15) at 12:15 and they weren't prepared for opening, changing out the floor mats from the previous day, cleaning the glass doors, outdoor picnic tables were dirty the place had a smell of sanitizer/ bleach/dirty that hit us in the face when we walked in. Waited a bit long for tacos then were given the wrong food. I could overlook all of that and give the place a second chance because they are new... However within an hour both my husband and I got SICK.... ALL SET... first and last time. read more

Tocos taste like they were made at a Stop and Shop deli. That being said, the ice cream is worth a taste.

Best tacos I've ever had, they deserve 6 stars. This beats SoCal, Mexico, and all the other places I've had Mexican food. The fish, pork, and beef tacos are amazing. The nachos are great. The street corn is awesome. Even their ice cream is really good. Go there and you won't be disappointed. read more

8 bucks for 2 mediocre tacos. Maybe im just spoiled by tacos in San Diego. Most I paid their was 2.50 a taco and that was phenomenal!!!! Food price in MA does get expensive... if it was good I wouldn't mind paying 4 bucks if I couldn't get it anywhere else. read more

This place is great!!! I lived in San Diego for 5 years..Home of the BEST tacos around, so it was seriously hard to find anything even comparable here in the Boston area, especially at a take out type place. I tried Baja box tacos and have been back almost once a week all summer! So happy this place exists so close to home for me.. it's fast, delicious, and a good value! Not only are the tacos delicious, but they have ice cream too! Only 2 suggestions I have to offer: 1) the tacos should be sold separately so people can try various types instead of having to get 2 of the same 2) It should be open year round!! So sad it's closed now, where do the cooks work off season? ..but Baja box- please contact me if interested in hosting a pop up type event at a local brewery!! They'd love to have you if possible! read more

DELICIOUS shrimp tacos... Except.... It was COLD. I was panicking, thinking the shrimp was under cooked because it was cold... Corn was pretty good too. read more

Stopped in tonight on our way to Wollaston Wednesdays across the street (live music on the beach!) The last person in line was just inside the door and it took about 5-10 minutes to reach the counter to order (line got progressively longer as I waited). Ordered a Baja Fish Taco, Chicken Taco (the shredded one) and Baja Box Nachos as is. After a brief wait (another 5-10) the food was ready. Nachos- crispy chips, almost like Stacys Pita chips as far as sturdiness goes, generous toppings of cheese, beans, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and probably more stuff. It was so dang good I just wolfed it down Baja Fish Tacos and Chicken Tacos were equally elegant despite the heaping filing. They almost overflowed when I tried to fold and eat them. Loved the zesty sauce, almost like a chipotle sour cream dressing? I liked them both but preferred the chicken. Overall A+! We will be back :) read more

THE best fish taco I've ever had. Searched far and wide for good Mexican food and it turns up down the street on Wolly Beach. This place is a gem. read more

Great flavor. They use a coleslaw mix instead of cabbage. The fish sauce has a bit of kick and too much dill (I assume) but is still good. The batter is thick, but again, delicious. The fish and shrimp are EXTREMELY fresh. Best part. No alcohol and basically water/soda. It is set up like "pickup" place. No real seating (some outside). Overall, great. Quick service, nice staff. We waited ~5 minutes. We will be stopping by again but it's not a "destination" place. TIP: They have a kids menu if you ask. It is not on the board. read more

Absolutely delicious tacos and nachos. Great service and great selection! I wish they were open all year round so be sure to check if they're open before you go! read more

Baja Box, formerly the ice box, is a great place to get (fish) tacos. If you're not craving tacos, you can satisfy your sweet tooth with one of their Signature Sundaes. I'll be back... at least once a week... getting baja fish tacos with their delicious chipotle aioli and avocado crema or a Coffee Toffee sundae. Or both bc it's too late for my summer body anyways. read more

I took a chance on this place because the outside looked deserted. NOT so. It was just midafternoon and no one was on the patio. The only available parking is across the street along the beach. They sell ice cream and a limited, curated menu of tacos. The fish taco was quite good. This is about as far away from Taco Bell as you can get. Service is friendly. The place has a beachy-hip vibe to it. You can eat inside at a stool along a counter or you can eat outside on a stool or at a picnic table. Located right next door to the closed Beachcomber nightclub. read more

Two thumbs up! The tacos here are incredibly flavorful and delicious! I had the pork carnitas taco and the best way i could describe it when i took my first bite was a fireworks of flavor in every bite. I also got the nachos and those were just as great. The pickled jalapenos add the perfect kick to each bite. I was a bit thrown off by the price..$7-8 per taco order and each order comes with 2 tacos a bit steep for just 2 tacos but everything tasted so fresh with quality ingredients. read more

Tacos were cold. And not a "got cold from the car ride" cold, more like the meat was cooked this morning and then kept off heat since. Whoever rated this more than one star has either never tasted food before or this was their first meal after a year long fast. Garbage microwave tacos. read more

We came to the Ice Box after trying Tony's Clam Shop. It's a refreshing treat on a summer day. The servings here are huge! For a small you get around 3 scoops of ice cream so I would recommending picking two flavors. I tried the pistachio and cake batter flavors. There were a ton of pistachio nuts and the cake batter had huge chunks of cake. I liked the cake batter flavor a lot! The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. read more

I don't speak Spanish, but if Baja translates to "not very good" or "subpar" then this would make sense. Just not a good product. I don't mind $8 for two tacos if they're good. These were probably a 4.2 out of 10. Poor balance of ingredients, clearly not keeping up with the food, and just a low quality bite. I love tacos. Tacos can be great. These tacos were bad. They have potential, but I won't return. As a side note, I pulled into Taco Bell on the way home to get a crunchy taco and it was just better than Subpar Box. 2 stars. Never again. read more

Decent little meal. We had the fish tacos and loved them. My son had the shrimp tacos and they weren't quite as good.

Personally I love it here but it's pricey for only two tacos per order. I always get the shrimp tacos and it always comes out amazing! I also get the street corn but I feel like they could add more flavoring on the corn but other than that the corn is always sweet and not over cooked or anything. I also got ice cream from here and it's delicious! And the customer service here is great. Always stop by when I go to the beach across the street. read more

The tacos here is absolutely great. They are only open seasonally and usually closes for the season the end of September but it's definitely a must visit place. The tacos are also very reasonably priced. They give a ton of ice cream for each of their sizes which is amazing. The food potion is awesome as well. It's nice in the summer when you can grab tacos an ice cream and sit at the beach. Also, their street corn is definitely one of the best in al of Boston. I definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for some great tacos in the city! read more

Great addition to Wollaston Beach; a much needed taco shack. Tacos and nachos are perfect on the go foods and they don't weigh you down much after spending your day on the beach. I had the grilled chicken tacos today and they were delicious. Their menu is simple; a few taco selections and nachos---that's it, and this makes sense seeing as it's a small kitchen. They also serve ice cream and have an impressive selection of sundaes and flavors. I hope they do well here because Wally Beach has been in need of an alternative to fried clams for a long time. read more

What's not to like? Richie's Slush, Frozen Yogurt (including Coffee Toffee) and Ice Cream. I thought the prices were fair.

Great, cheap soft serve and others. Also has "water ice" ( Philly speak for slushies).
