The beat spot for amazing Pakistani food. I frequent this spot and recently went there during my cycling ride to have a great samosa chaat and chai, both orders as expected were good!

Delicious Pakistani food at the recommendation of my friend. This was a first for the 3 of us. The portions were enough for two, so we were able to mix and match. My favorite was the Kulcha, it was soft, hot & fresh; and really came in handy in cooling off my tongue from the spicy Dum Chicken Biryani. While I really love chicken biryani I always forget to ask for it mild. I must say besides the Kulcha, the butter chicken was fantastic, I'm so glad I have leftovers, I thoroughly enjoyed it. and would order it again without hesitation. Everything else was excellent as well. I would definitely come back to this family friendly restaurant, not to mention the price is pretty reasonable, which makes it worth coming back. There's really nothing better than great food to help you enjoy the company of friends!

Here's what we ordered as take out: One mixed grill, which consisted on various kinds of grilled chicken and beef, including tikka and kababs. They also gave us a side of raita and chutney. We also ordered a daal (lentil stew), naan and paratha (types of flatbread). The food was delicious. Not overly spicy, very flavorful and a good amount. The daal was cooked to perfection. Both the naan and paratha were also nice but would probably taste much better if eaten hot and fresh.

We went there the other day. All was good. We liked the food and service but then I had to pay the bill. We were three and tip was added automatically and then when I didn't ask and click the button to add tip on top of the added tip, no one said a thing until I later realized. When I see this kind of dishonest behavior, I don't care how much good your food is. You just don't deserve a second chance. We will go back to Chai Chenak or GFBU. Your restaurant has pleasant environment and food but you need to be honest in your charging. Good luck!

Baithakh (Karachi style) cuisine. A hidden gem. If you're from Bombay, India, and craving to eat that delicious mutton dumwali Taloja Biryani at that Old Biryani House, you know what I'm talking about.... that place where we drove for two hours each way.... And ate finger licking Biryani! OK Baithakh is the closest to that one. Not just for their amazing Biryani, but literally less than 20 minutes drive from Princeton or New Brunswick!! Even if you're not from Bombay, you'll get to taste what an excellent Biryani should taste like!! We tried their mutton biryani few days ago!!! Wow!! The mutton melts in your mouth! Perfectly cooked baby goat! And flavorful. We went back this evening and thoroughly enjoyed their equally delicious Chicken Biryani and Shadiwala Mutton Korma. With Butter Naan of course! Got to try their Weekend Brunch next time.

The papdi chaat was so good I didn't even eat the other items we got. But the fam enjoyed the karhai. Biryani was also a hit but nihari didn't get the best response from the crew. Falooda was also yummy. Will def go back again.

Let me start off with, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! The Beef Nihari was flavorful and the meat was melt in your mouth. The Beef Bihari paratha roll was delicious. The beef had really great taste and the paratha was perfectly crispy on the outside. The chutney that it's served with compliments the roll perfectly. Naan were nice and soft too. Enjoyed the meal completely. The service was excellent too. The owner himself came to our table and asked us how our food was and had a conversation with us which I thought was great. I went with a friend of mine and we spent hours there and they never made us feel like we were taking up space. The restaurant was quiet with some light music playing in the background so you can actually hear the person you're with talking which I appreciated. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try their Chicken Biryani.

Food is Great! Not a place to go to if you have more then 4-6 people, feels too crowded. Just not a place for a party. ‍ Just When booking get everything in written so on your day of event your not denyddd of anything. Peace of mind. ‍

However, over our last three visits, we've noticed several concerns: The taste of the food has changed, and some dishes were not properly cooked. The karahi gosht is no longer prepared the way it used to be, and the portion size has also been reduced. The seating arrangement feels too cramped for the space, making it difficult to move around comfortably. When concerns are raised, the standard response is simply, "we will let them know," without any visible follow-up. We genuinely enjoy dining here and would like to continue visiting. However, the inconsistency in food quality, along with pricing and portion concerns, has been disappointing and is making us reconsider. I would greatly appreciate it if the owner could give attention to these issues, particularly ensuring consistency in food quality and taste.

We came for halwa puri, the classic breakfast of Pakistan and one of the few bright spots for vegetarians in a nation that takes pride in distancing itself from anything veg. The achaari aloo sabzi was absolutely excellent, and the puris were not overly oily. The chole didn't leave that much of an impression on me. We also ordered the mash dal, which was superb. This is probably the most coarse south Asian dal dish, with an appearance similar to bulgur if prepared correctly. It was a treat to try this dish common as a roadside nashta in Pakistan, but rarely prepared in the states. The anda parantha was a disappointment - I was expecting a typical desi omelette, but the paratha was served with two very plain eggs over medium. This should probably be more clearly disclosed in the menu.

I ordered the Gulberg Special Chicken Karahi, some naan, and a Beef Bihari Roll. The biggest disappointment was the karahi. It didn't really taste like a traditional karahi and felt more like a chicken salan served in a karahi dish. I've had this exact item here before, and it was fantastic, so I know the kitchen is capable of much better. The Beef Bihari Roll, on the other hand, was delicious. My only suggestion would be to improve the presentation a bit. Adding some fries or a side would make the plate feel more complete and visually appealing. When we mentioned the karahi to our server, he handled it very professionally. He immediately offered to have a fresh one made, which was appreciated. By that point, the kids were getting restless, so we decided not to wait. He was also kind enough to adjust our bill, which was a very nice gesture and showed great customer service. Overall, while the karahi missed the mark this time, the staff made up for it with their attentiveness and willingness to make things right. Everyone has an off night, especially with two big events going on. I'd definitely come back and give it another shot.

Like I said it's great for good food good prices, those are my favorite kinds of places. They also offer a buffet during the day that looks really really small from the looks of it, not sure that I would try that because I would think that there's not that many options from the size of the place and how theyy displayed it. Hot delicious authentic Paki food! I get the biryani, tikka masala, fresh breads - naan & paratha, chicken samosas & chana all of which I recommend. If you regularly eat South Asian food, you're used to being unabashedly stared out if you walk into a Desi restaurant and you're not Desi. At this restaurant, that's not the case. This is a major plus to me. There are often customers in there from other than South Asian ethnicities as well which makes it more comfortable if you're dining in. The downside is that they're slow especially if it's there are more than two customers there. They often will not address a customer who walks in but it's not out of rudeness. They may be in the back or you just need to ring a bell on the counter to get their attention. Also cleanliness isn't their top priority. Tables are certainly wiped down regularly but the utensils often have visible dust on them or just haven't been cleaned well. Bottom line : I recommend this spot for authentic halal Pakistani food especially for take out.

We were told it would take 30-35 minutes, which is fine for cooked to order food. It really wasn't very busy, but the order took 50 minutes. The order was sitting on their counter ready to go, but it appeared they were backed up with making the bread. Once the bread came out, they bagged it up and we were ready to go. They almost forgot to give us the side salad, but they remembered before we left. Now for the food... - The bread that we waited for- was doughy and undercooked. It had burnt pieces stuck to it and they were not shaped as nicely as their usual bread. - The hummus side that we ordered, which was almost $8, was a half filled half pint container (very small amount) of what appeared more like a sauce rather than the thick hummus we are accustomed t. I wouldn't order this again. - The salad was watery...they need to drain the water better - The rice was cold - I think it was sitting out too long - Now for the main event - the meats - we enjoyed the flavor. This saved our dinner, we did enjoy the meats. We called them about the bread and they were apologetic, and told us we can stop by for bread next time we are there. As this is one of my favorite restaurants, I want to give them an opportunity to do better next time! The afghan bread and their rice have alway been my favorite part of their meals!
