I have been using this company about 5 years. Before the pandemic, calls were answered and returned within reason. I could make an appt for others to ask about mask and mask fittings only during work hours but at least it was an option. After the pandemic, they would never answer questions or return calls. It has been two years after the the pandemic and things are now "back to normal" enough. It seems they no longer have enough staff or people who care. They send supplies when ordered and thankfully seem to use insurance properly. I only use them because I HAVE to. I had the rudest person on the phone today. When I tried to express my frustration with the company she just became ruder. You can never get someone on the phone. They never respond. They only time they will is to harass you to order more supplies. And when you try to change what you want they are the most unhelpful. And it is only getting worse. Worst medical supplier ever. First they have no medical experience so when you go to get fitted for a CPAP machine they know nothing. I went with Adapt health and the service is like night and day. Baird couldn't even give me the right masks that I needed. Now Im having billing problems as you cant pay for your equipment right out. Im forced to pay 8 dollars a month instead of the whole amount because they count on you failing and then they want to get the equipment back and screw you out of what you paid. Then your put on auto payments and they take them at random. So now I have an invoice for one amount and an online account says different. I have had good luck with Baird for CPAP supplies. Melissa in the Respiratory Department has always been kind, informative, helpful, and timely. Their auto ordering setup has worked well for me which is good because likely wouldn't even take full advantage of my reordered supplies if it weren't for their efforts. This keeps me in compliance and sleeping well. read more

This company didn't even warn me about my cpap machine being a possible danger to my health. Its been over 5 months since the recall has been issued and not once did they reach out to me to replace the unit or at minimum warn me of the dangers. All they cared about is adding unnecessary medical filters and other accessories to a malfunctioned piece of equipment. I've also called their office and left detailed messages with my number and name and noone has called me back. I have IPF and have been on oxygen for a awhile and used another company that couldn't hold a candle to the professionals at Baird:) Three cheers for... You have been in business since 1964, and I am sure taking advantage of customers since that time. Now that Yelp and other social media outlets are in place, we as customers have a voice so that other consumers do not share the same fate. Again, I don't have a problem with your company not being a part of my new insurance plan. I do have a problem that I CALLED YOUR COMPANY, and I told YOU, that my Insurance had change! I thought as a customer of yours, that would be the right thing to do. Then, you, which I hear in the background during my distressing call, someone else demanding that I return the machine back immediately. Did I do something wrong? I am not going to steal your machine. However, my feeling is that you were acting as if I wasn't going to offer it back to you. I am not looking to steal your equipment. And, you asking me to leave the machine in front of my house where someone could just pick it up on a Friday is no solution either. My Doctor prescribed a CPAP machine for me, and the order for it was sent to Baird. After a full week I got a call from Baird saying that they had my order but that it would take another 8 to 10 days for the insurance authorization to come through. After waiting another 2 weeks I called Baird to ask what was taking so long. But, even in the middle of the day there was no one to take my call, so I left a voice mail. They never returned my call, so I called my insurance company to find out what was taking so long. And boy was I surprised to learn that Baird never submitted anything to the insurance company, but if they did the authorization would come back in only 10 MINUTES not 10 days! So, I switched to another company and told my doctor and insurance carrier that I wouldn't do business with Baird, but then according to my insurance company Baird applied for authorization and lied and said they had already delivered the equipment so my new DME provider couldn't get an authorization. Hopefully now that I've explained the situation to the Insurance company, it's all taken care of. I'm just glad that Baird showed how shady they are before I got any equipment from them! read more

This is what I sent the owner in March. Still waiting for a reply. I was getting ready to place an unflattering comment on Google Reviews when I saw you respond to an individual asking for details to their complaint. So, rather than post I thought it only proper to offer my details first. In late December 2020 I received an email from Baird asking if I needed any supplies since my deductible was probably paid up and it was years end. It was. I remember thinking what a great idea and how thoughtful of Baird. I requested some supplies I believed I was eligible to reorder. About mid January 2021 a shipment arrived. I couldn't believe my eyes. A whole host of supplies arrived, some I'm sure I didn't request but again thinking, Baird has my back. I was ecstatic. You can imagine my disappointment when the bill arrived for over $200. I reached out to billing on February 24, 2021 to get some clarification. Lisa promptly retuned my call on the 25th but wasn't clear on why I was charged for everything. It appeared the order didn't ship until the new year and some supplies were not eligible to be filled yet. She said she'd have someone call me with an explanation. I never received a follow up call. I reached out to billing again on March 15th and spoke to Lisa again after my credit card was charged the full amount. She didn't know why her supervisor didn't return my call and had no additional information. I've been with Baird since my first CPAP machine and insisted I use you again with my new pulmonary doctor who was recommending another vendor. I obviously have some culpability here as I did not check which supplies I was eligible to receive at the time of the email. I know I did not order all the items I received. This company is proof that the customer is always wrong. I placed an order for a travel cpap which is expensive and not covered by insurance. They took my money with no problems and then I didn't hear from them at all. No reciept, no tracking information, nothing. After a week with no info, I called twice (because no one called me back after the first message) and spoke to someone who said it was already delivered. I had no idea it was even sent out. I eventually heard back and was told there's nothing I can do. They said "they did their part" which includes sending out an expensive machine without any sort of signature required or telling the customer any information about the delivery. I spoke to Diana who told me that it was my fault that I didn't request it. So I'm just out $750 and it's my fault because if it. Don't bother calling to discuss! Diana will tell you that she's not interested in discussing this further or learning how to prevent this from happening again. read more

I had some major issues with Baird over the past few months. I have two different health insurance companies, I always had. For some reason, I had some billing issues. Husband has sleep apnea. They charged us nearly $400 for our machine. It never worked properly. A whole lot of air no moisture. Called right away and told them it did not work. They said they can give us one free fitting. The guy came back and gave my husband more masks. He was drying out. I told him there was no moisture in hose. He called the Baird Medical, they adjusted his moisture and again nothing. We determined this machine was not working. Called Baird Medical again. They will not refund my money becuase it has been 1 month and they will not refund for the used mask or hose. He could not use the machine. It was 1 month of phone calls. I had a feeling we were being stringed along for 30 days and we were. I do not recommend. read more

Horrible attitudes by all employees at Baird. They never call back. Angry people when you eventually do speak to someone. Tell your insurance to find you another supplier/provider. I used them for CPAP supplies. They are required by Blue Cross to replace consumables every 3 months. They never reached out and offered to replace the needed supplies. Whenever I called them for parts I paid out of pocket! Blue cross confirms that they were contracted to re-supply every three months. Blue Cross is now investigating to verify they were not fraudulently billed for those every 3 month supplies. read more

Tried to order a breast pump with my prescription. Baird told me a specific model was NOT covered 100% by my insurance and had an upgrade charge of $109.18. My insurance company said it was 100% covered. I went to another store called "Mat Pharmacy" who didn't charge me a penny for the same exact pump PLUS they shipped it to my house. I procrastinated ordering my breast pump until a few days before my due date, but the reps at Baird were responsive, helpful, and accommodating and I was able to get what I needed very quickly and it all worked out well. I appreciate the flexibility to order online or on the phone, being able to fax or email my script, the website was pretty easy to navigate and the two women I spoke to were very nice. I mean, ordering DME isn't the most thrilling of experiences but they made it easy and pleasant, so that was appreciated! read more

I have dealt with Baird Respiratory for several years. I have been impressed with their knowledge and professionalism with many interactions over that time period. Janice Haber was outstanding when I first came to Baird. She answered all my questions thoroughly at the time of initial purchase and has been there for me when questions came up after that. All of my subsequent supply reorders were handled efficiently. I did have one problem where I received the wrong part. Once I notified Baird of the error it was corrected right away. I have recommended Janice and Baird to several coworkers who were also very happy with Baird's service. read more

I went to Baird in Glenside and met with Vinh Bui, a Sleep Technician. He was very helpful. He answered all of my questions. He helped me get a new mask that should work a lot better and he explained why I had to tighten my present mask so much. The pillow pad on the mask was too old and it should be replaced. I recommend him to my fellow CPAP users. read more

I was put on oxygen for nights only at first, then had to start using more as medical issues arose, I am a nervous Nellie!!!! I constantly call for deliveries of portable d tanks, fearing I would run out,, which I haven't, Baird delivers same day or next day, I really feel better knowing this!!! Today the driver even explained how to use some of the tanks delivered because the tops differ. Customer service has gotten back to me to discuss other oxygen options I was looking into, I was completely happy with their guidance. this is worst company i ever dealt with. i complained to CEO and made no difference. They have terrible customer service, never return phone calls. They order all kind of generic supplies junk and pass it on patients while insurance pays the same regardless if it is brand name or not. CPAP machines configured using their parts such as tubes. if you get some other part calculations may not be correct. They also trying to push CPAP machines that made by manufactures that not leaders in OSA field. Why would you want machine from company that makes electric shavers and everything else and having worst customer service. Resmed is leader in OSA field, insist on their products. Insurance pays the same. Problem with Bard they could not care less as every medical provider has "relationships" with them so they never run out of sucker patients that never check any reviews on google or yelp. And they also kind of monopoly, not that many medicals supplies companies around. Do your research and insist on best products read more
