No cutting corners and he even explained why he thinks the tiles cracked/came loose. We are so grateful to have found him. Jamen's quote was super reasonable, and once we confirmed the bid, he found us a start date right away. Jamen confirmed that one of his crew would be coming to do the job. His guy - Paolo - came punctually on the agreed upon time, explained the process, and did an awesome job repairing our tile!! Not only did he work quickly and efficiently, but he worked meticulously and made sure not to damage any existing tile. The first day took from about 9-1:30 pm to demo, cut, and set new tile. The second day he came back to do the grout (took less than an hour). Paolo explained that they wanted to make sure the tile was set/dry before grouting so that the grout color didn't blend into wet tileset color (which was white). I needed a notch cut out on the front corner for curtains to tuck into and a hole for a countertop outlet extension. Oscar provided a quote right away, I didn't have to wait days or follow up. Luckily my job wasn't too small for him! He came out right away to measure the space and installed 2 days later. The curtain cubby has a nice, finished edge and he did a great job rounding the exposed corner. Veining on the backsplash continues from the counter, which I wasn't expecting. Only time will tell. I'd give Main Street a strong 3.5 stars. The deductions from their score stem from the time it took them to finish and some gross mistakes they made along the way. Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow if you see the glass as half full. My advice, if you choose to use Main Street or any contractor, is to get everything in writing and hold their feet to the fire. I recommend not making the final payment to any contractor until you are satisfied with the work performed. You have to hold everyone working on your home accountable for their work and make sure that they're licensed and bonded. There are a lot to things to like about Main Street, and some things that could be improved upon for sure. Always trust to your instincts. That's why The Creator gave them to you.
