We are very grateful to have found Diego here on Yelp. He provided an estimate for a new mailbox installation right away and his pricing was very competitive with other estimates I obtained. Diego and his team (Josh and Carlos) came out for a site visit and started work the next day. Within a few days we had a beautiful new mailbox and custom-built stone pillar. Josh and Carlos kept us informed with every step of the process and made sure our design preferences were incorporated into the build. Their craftsmanship is incredible! After working with Diego on this first project, it's easy to see why he has such a high rating. He is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to provide high quality service no matter your budget. He doesn't cut any corners. We look forward to working with Diego and his team on many future home projects and highly recommend you give them a call! read more

Anything that needs repairs, enhancements, etc. Diego is the person to hire! He came in and help us in a time of need. Our water heater case enclosure was in need of being replaced as it's over 50 years old and many people in this profession declined to work on it, never the less could actually fix it. Diego not only came and gave a very reasonable price but stuccoed the area and helped seal all entry point to ensure that no little critters could find their way in. He even updated the securities of tank and pipes to be in code. The quality of work that Diego does is exceptional.I can't express how much I have been looking for someone that can be honest, knowledgeable and do a quality job. The only regret I have hiring Diego is that I didn't come across him sooner! Thank you, Diego for your professionalism, transparency and consistent communication, and lastly the quality of work! I'm sure we will be in touch soon for future project needs or repair. read more

Diego had responded to a project quote I sent out, and showed up a few hours later that morning to conduct an in-person assessment of the project, so that I could get an accurate price quote. At this point, I think I was already more than half-way ready to move forward with another contractor I had previously met. Needless to say, I ended up doing business with Diego. Without first looking at his ratings and reviews, I met and got to know Diego in person. I appreciated the man starting then, and he continued to earn my gratitude and appreciation throughout the entire duration of my project, which was extended in more ways than one. Diego is God-fearing, down-to-Earth, honest, and integrity-driven - just an all-around awesome guy. The way he works (detailed-oriented; the right way from the start), the results of his work (top-notch and worry-free), and his communication throughout all of it (patient, care-filled, and customer-oriented), makes him (imho) an incredible contractor to work with, and person to get to know. You'd absolutely agree with me if you ever get to work with just him, but my perspective comes from working with him alongside other contractors due to how things worked out on my end. Simply put - where others got wrong/messed up, Diego came and made right. You might ask why I didn't ask the original contractor(s) to correct their work - because I knew, based on how they conducted themselves in their work, that they also wouldn't do it right the second time, and that would just mean more time wasted. Diego and his team are the people I would (and did) trust to handle any home project without me wondering if I'm going to find a disaster at the end. Him talking me through messes (done by other contractors), and showing up to do what he said he would do, really gave me and my wife a lot of peace. Something we love that he told us is that he gives his best when he works because, while he is able to go home afterward his job is done, his clients will have to live with (in) his work. Such an amazing attitude to have. Thank you, Diego and team. A bit about the project: started off as a small kitchen demolition; found an entire section of wall filled with black mold, and took care of it as if it was in his own home; pointed out hazards in the old electrical wiring, and brought them up to code; constructed an entire bit of complex new kitchen plumbing with garbage disposal; mounted/installed a brand new kitchen hood (I want to stress here "the right way"), and constructed an efficient outward ventilation for it; connected a gas line to cooktop; and fixed up/completed kitchen flooring tile. read more

I highly recommend MCL. Diego and his team were a pleasure to work with. Diego gave me the exact cost before the job began and it didn't differ. His team was highly skilled, professional, communicative and positive. They installed ceiling fans, ceiling medallions, canned lighting, trouble-shooted/repaired light switch problem, removed arms on a garage door and reinstalled a Murphy bed. I will be calling them again. read more

I just can't say enough good things about MCL! Mauricio has done a few projects for me. Initial jobs: I initially contacted him to replace my kitchen porcelain sink with a stainless steel one. Mauricio showed up on time and took his time completing the job and the sink looked great. I then contacted him to replace drywall and a ceiling fan in a guest bedroom , same experience again, he did a great job, took his time with the work and everything was great. He took the time to explain any issues he ran into and how he would fix the problem. There were electrical issues in the ceiling where the fan would be connected . He repaired the issue and explained how he would fix it. He was fair and upfront about any costs with me the entire time. Larger project: By this time I knew I had to hire MCL for my guest bath. Mauricio and his team completed a total renovation of my guest bathroom and I will let the before and after pics speak for themselves. Mauricio scheduled me for a date that worked for me , even thought there was a delay in getting the shower pan on my end Mauricio still moved forward with the demo and was patient while we waited for some materials that I had ordered to arrive. Him and his team worked diligently through December (holiday season) to complete the remodel. During this time I added extra items around the house , for example replacing three other toilets, fixing a kitchen outlet, and painting a door and Mauricio got all of this done for me. Customer service: Mauricio has great customer service and workmanship! I am so happy with the results. I would highly recommend MCL to anyone looking to complete a small or big job! Quality of work: Mauricio and his team have great workmanship and everything is completed neatly. He ensured to take extra steps to make sure everything looked neat. read more

Diego responded promptly to my request and was able to help me replace my kitchen faucet on the same day. It turns out to be quite difficult to remove the old faucet due to rust and calcification, but he was patient and tried different ways to do it. He even charged less than he quoted because I provided a bit of help during the process. Would definitely recommend. read more

Maurico has done a couple of jobs for us on our 49 year old house in Irvine. He has replaced bathroom fans with higher powered units. Removed surface mold and textured and painted bathrooms. His most recent job was much larger. Our nearly 50 year old fiberglass shower was beyond worn out. The vanity counter was literally falling apart and the sinks were buckling as a result. The bathroom could use a complete gut and remodel but our budget wouldn't allow it. This was a huge problem because every contractor we contacted would only quote on a gut remodel costing much more then we could afford. That's when I decided to contact Maurico and asked him if would quote on replacing the shower unit with a new acrylic unit and replace the vanity with a pre-built unit. I had done a lot of DIY remodeling back in the day so I would find and purchase all of the materials and fixtures to save time and budget. He quoted me a very fair price and we scheduled to meet to pickup the shower and other materials. He rented a trailer so we could haul the stuff from Home Depot. I purchased the vanity with sinks from Builders Surplus in Santa Ana. Huge selection, great prices and many items are in stock for immediate pickup. This is a fantastic way to get a vanity if your current unit is a standard size. Just pick the correct sized cabinet you want then pick a counter top. To save time and money we choose a top with the sinks already mounted. You need to get your own faucets. The only tricky bit to this place is understanding the process. On a weekend it can get too crazy so we went on a weekday. Make sure you measure your space accurately then go wander the floor getting an idea of what you want. Find a salesperson on the floor if you can or go to the counter and get a ticket and wait your turn. They have limited hours Tues-Sat 9 to 5. He ended up needing to relocate the shower drain but the additional cost was very reasonable. The job was completed in about one week. We plan on having him back over the summer to lay porcelain tiles. Maurico went out of his way to accommodate our requests and helped work within our budget. He has our highest recommendation. Take a look at the before and after photos to see what he was able to do. read more

MCL was just great! I made a lot of mistakes ordering parts and my tiny project turned into a months long nightmare on my part. Mauricio is one heck of a guy! From the time he answered till the work was done he was fantastic. I work at a Mortgage company and we needed work done at a low cost that the homeowner could afford. I told him what i needed and told him it needed to be done yesterday. He was out the same day and gave me a quote that was perfect! i could tell he was honest and had passion in what he does. Mauricio has been awesome. I work for a mortgage company, and occasionally we have to send a handyman to do work for our clients on their homes. Mauricio is always on time, very presentable, well groomed, and very well spoken. This is important to me since he often times deals with people that we only speak with over the phone, so he is the face of our company in a way. He is fair with the price and always makes sure the job is done right. His workmanship and attention to detail is as good as it gets! I have not had a single job mauricio has not been able to do yet.
