I called this morning to make sure they had my daughter's size in ballet slippers and tap shoes. They did, and set them aside for us. When we went in store attendant helped us try them on and made suggestions for my daughter's shoe size as she's still growing. Wonderful customer service and they had everything we needed for my 3 year old's first ballet class. Highly recommend this place. Make sure the shoes you buy fit because they won't do a cash return/credit card return after 10 days. I bought my grandson tap shoes. The first fitting was wrong size and width. After returning, the second pair was too wide also. Had to return again but they wouldn't refund my money because it was 13 days since purchased. They sacrificed customer service because they couldn't get their computer to do the return. I had to do store credit. I will look to purchase online from a different retailer next time with a better return policy . read more

I was recently in a production where we needed dance tights - off to Bailey's I went. I purchased my character shoes on line with success but was on too tight a turnaround time for the tights. I purchased two pairs at $11 each thinking that would last me well through my 4 week run. Alas, the first pair of tights ripped *immediately* upon getting put over one leg, which was frustrating. The second pair lasted me the first week then also had a run from my hip down to my ankle. Back to Bailey's, I had the sense this time to ask the staff member if there's any pre-care I can do to ensure the tights don't rip. They gave me a wonderful care routine of cold water and stretching the tights prior to putting them on. Boom! This made the tights last the entire remainder of the run, even with cleaning and a TON of wear. The shop itself is laid out nicely and conveniently located in Pittsford. They don't have a HUGE selection but will definitely be able to get you what you need in a pinch. They are really in it for the SHOES and I highly recommend them for characters, taps, slippers, and more. Thanks to the team here for being so great! read more

Received great service from Caitlyn. We got tap shoes and a leotard for my three year old. The prices are very competitive to large discount chains (in fact, the tap shoes at Bailey's were less expensive than anywhere else I've seen). That being said, I will always "shop small" and drive to Pittsford to shop at Bailey Slipper Shop. It was obvious they know what they're talking about and are all experts; they measured my daughter's feet before selecting the perfect shoe. Caitlyn was great with my little one.
