I had an extremely unprofessional and offensive experience with this company. We came fully prepared to post a $150,000 bond -- with cash for the deposit, a secured property for collateral, and a payment plan. We arrived early to our appointment, and everything was in order. The representative, Grant, seemed visibly surprised that we had everything together -- especially when he saw the homeowner, my cousin, a successful business owner who happens to have tattoos. Despite confirming the day before that only an ID was needed, Grant suddenly demanded a second form of ID. When my cousin calmly placed his debit card on the counter while organizing his wallet, Grant snapped, "Slide me the card, don't be an asshole." We were stunned. My cousin complied, but Grant escalated, throwing the card back and yelling "Get the f** out!"* He even came around the desk as if to physically remove us. We left immediately. It was clear we were judged based on appearance and ethnicity. Despite being financially prepared, we were treated with disrespect and hostility. I had worked with this company 10 years ago and never expected to be treated like this. I would not recommend this business to anyone. On 5/22/24 I walk in with 10k to bond my lil brother out of jail .. upon walking in I sat my newborn down along with my 3 children. I proceeded to walk to the counter and before I could say a word I was told to leave. I asked why and the Caucasian male told me it was because of the way I look and I responded with, we'll sir how do I look and he replied I dont like your face. Told me to read a sign that says he can refuse service just because. As an African male I to this very offensive because it was clearly a racial things. This company has held my title hostage for over 6 months after the bond was exonerated. I have left 6 messages, been to the office in phoenix twice with no avail. The guy that answers the new bonds line is horrifically rude and won't listen and threatens to hang up on you when you ask a question. He acts like he is so put out for me spending $1000 cash and putting a $10,000 lien on my truck. I tried pulling said bond prior to it being exonerated because the person I bonded out was not complying. This bails company called the bonded out person and told them to avoid me and lay low since the last court hearing was in 30 days from the day I went in to pull the bond. The guy was a complete jerk that day as well and refused to pull the bond. How is any of this legal or legit or right? Here I am almost a year after putting my truck up for the bond without my truck title back and without the lien being released!!!! DO NOT use these guys for bail!!! There was a clerical error on the paperwork my son received from the jail when he was released on bond. The court date that was on the paperwork was for 11/10 and the actual court date was on 11/07. As a result, Dylan had a bench warrant for his arrest. He found out about it when he called the court clerk to find out which courthouse he was supposed to go to on the 10th. The court clerk told us all we had to do was come to the courthouse and tell them what happened and show them the paperwork and we would most likely just get a new court date and the warrant would go away. Out of courtesy, we made the mistake of contacting Grant at Bail Bonds USA who redirected us and told us that we had to do it a different way and told us that was the only way it could be done. He told my son he had to come to his office and then He would follow us to the Jail where Dylan would need to Self Surrender to the jail, but told us not to worry because he would have him released on the same bond. He told us this several times, so it was no misunderstanding. He told us he would have him out by the following morning at the latest. Not knowing much about Bail Bonds, we had to trust that what he was saying was true. The next day, when Dylan had still not been released by the afternoon I called him to find out what the hold up was. He totally changed his tune and wanted us to pay him another $1,800 to bail my son out and obviously, had not done anything to get my son out. When I called him out on lying to us he said "I don't like the way you are talking to me, so I'm not going to help you out and neither is anyone else in town" and then hung up on me. Well that wasn't true either. There are plenty of bail bondsmen that will bail him out, but we have to pay another bond fee of $1,500. My son paid Bail Bonds USA $1,800 and he was only out for a few days. Now he is stuck in jail without a future court date other than a bail forfeiture hearing three weeks away and he's already been in there for a week. What Grant did to my son is Criminal. My son has lost a week worth of income and has also lost his job now because of this creepy, predatory looser. Their goal should be to help their customers stay out of jail, not lie to us and trick us into going back in jail. All my son had to do was to show up at the courthouse the next day and he would have never had to spend one day in jail. Another bondman told me there was another way it could have been done through the bondsman where he would stay out of jail and get a new court date and be released on the same bond with no additional charge. What a purely rotten and evil thing to do to a customer who gave you a courtesy call to let you know what had happened and was obviously trying to fix the problem, which was not even his fault. DO NOT do business with this company and especially Grant!!! What a scoundrel. read more

I did not feel comfortable giving all of our information to him so I asked him if he could please explain to me how the processes works before giving more of our personal information to him. He said " alright, I am going to terminate the call now. give us a call when you want our help". If I could give a zero I would. I was treated so unbelieveably disrespectfully when trying to help my son out with a $500 bail. I was called dumb (because I didn't understand the process), interrupted several times and talked over when expressing frustrations and trying to understand why I was told by the jail that no one ever showed up even though my credit card was charged immediatly, and lastly, even threatened! "I know the judge and I am going to make a call to black ball your son and have his bond increased from the $500." This 'gentleman' proudly exclaims he is an 'officer of the court', however he CLEARLY hates his job and does not know how to deal with the public. PLEASE go elsewhere if you value your loved ones and respect yourself. This company was a complete waste of time and they clearly do not understand customer service, let alone common decency. I don't know that everyone at the company is like this, but my experience was ablsolutely horrific dealing with this particular 'officer of the court' who willingly took my money, but would not give me his name when asked. Very shady dealings. While I am not blaming Bail Bonds USA for the trouble my son has gotten himself into, I am completely flabergasted at the treatment I received as a consumer and paying customer, along with the disgusting threats I received to hinder my sons fair treatment. This 'officer of the court' did tell me that he would be refunding my entire $800 and he hoped to never hear from me again, while hanging up on me, however I am still filing a BBB complaint as well as a complaint with the Attorney General's office due to his discrimination against my son for questioning him (how dare I question where my money went as a consumer!) and trying to understand what happened, but also for threatening to hinder my sons civil liberties. Unacceptable, unprofessional, and ethically immoral against his code of conduct as a so called officer of the court. I attended this place to get help on getting a bond. I had to leave 20% of the bond in cash. I was told the process would take 24 hours. A week went by and they had not resolved anything. I called every day and I was always told that the bond would be posted that day and to call back later. Finally after a week they told me that they did not approve the bond and to go and get my 20% back. When I went to pick it up, the manager told me I could not have my 20% back until he called the IRS and reported me, because he felt that I was trying to scam the IRS out of their tax money. He wanted to hold my money for 2 weeks. He said "it's in our policy to report suspicions money to the IRS", I asked him to show me a copy of the policy and he refused. He said " I am the manager, what a say goes, there is no need for a policy".
