Amazing worker, will dine here again

Elite ice I really enjoyed the hospitality of worker Joshua s. He crafted my ice with love. I am comin back.

Love Bahama Bucks. They have been in the area for a long time. I like how their ice tastes evenly of flavor even if they use syrups. At least the ice are not huge chunks. Unfortunately the ice isn't shaved as tiny as at some other places, but I do like the Strawberries & Creme. It is Strawberry flavor with Tropic Creme. They have the following sizes: Baby $4.79 Small $5.29 Regular $5.79 Large $6.29 Avalanche $8.69 They have a ton of flavors categorized as follows: Fruity Flavors Tropical Flavors Dessert Flavors Candy Flavors Beverage Flavors Local Flavors Sugar Free Thin Ice Flavors Super Sour Flavors Natural Flavors For shaved ice I like the fruity flavors best. In case you want to save time in advance of traveling there, here's a list of all their flavors. Apple Banana Birthday Cake Black Cherry Blue Bubblegum Blue Coconut Blue Cotton Candy Blue Raspberry Blueberry Blueberry Muffin Bomb Pop® (+$1.19) Cheesecake Cherry Cherry Coke® Cherry Lime Cinnamon Coca-Cola® Coconut Cream Pie Cream Soda Cucumber Dreamsicle Fanta Orange® Grape Gummy Bear (+$1.19) Horchata Hurricane Colada Jamaican Punch Jamaican Rum Jungle Berry Key Lime Pie Kiwi Lemon Lemon-Lime Lemonberry Warheads® (+$0.99) Lime Mango Margarita Melón Oreo® Cookie Sno Passion Fruit Peach Pickle Juice Piña Colada Pineapple Pink Bubblegum Pink Cotton Candy Pink Lemonade POG Princess Red Raspberry Root Beer Root Beer Float Sour Patch Kids® Redberry® Strawberry Strawberry Cheesecake Strawberry Colada Strawberry Daiquiri Sugar Cookie Sun Devil Tamarindo Tiger's Blood Toasted Coconut Tutti Frutti Vanilla Warheads® Watermelon Wedding Cake White Coconut You can get a couple of flavors and a topping. The topping of extra. I didn't know they had other toppings beyond the creme. The creme is amazing!

I've always passed by Bahama Buck's but have never been inside. We recently had a coupon to use up so we indulged in a shaved ice here, and have been back an additional time. Now my kiddo's hooked and frequently requests shaved ice when she wants a treat lol. I appreciate how they have natural flavors that don't have any artificial colors in them. In addition to the listed natural flavors on their menu, the pina colada and Jamaican rum flavor also have no added artificial color. It's been a while since I had shaved ice. The ice is made to order from a giant block and the texture is super soft like snow. The flavors are spot on too. We've had the watermelon and guava so far and both have been very refreshing, although I prefer the watermelon more if I had choose between the two. The shaved ice has a very tiki-tropical feel to it as they stick a mini umbrella on top when they serve it to you. The toddler absolutely loves this too and tries to use it as a regular umbrella. Service has been friendly and helpful. I also love how the spoons change color from teal to purple if they get cold. If you're looking for a lighter option for a sweet treat you've come to the right place. Details: - Shaved ice is packed in a Styrofoam cup - Smoothies, acai bowls also offered - 3 tables outside + indoor seating - Sugar free and "natural" flavors offered - Back of the plastic spoons have Psalm 34:8 printed on them which is "Taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him."

The shaved ice really is like snow! Nice and cold and refreshing shaved ice. I do feel that ice cream with shave ice makes it 1000% better but the texture of the shave ice here is great and I'm sure we'll be back again as the temperature outside continues to rise

Two girls working the counter were friendly and welcoming. They had a few suggestions as it was my first time. I ended up getting a strawberry colada. It was a delicious treat for a hot day! The mini one was perfect & didn't melt quick. This is a treat to be enjoyed right away! Will definitely be back!

Nico was awesome. Service was great. So many choices. We love our icy treats! Will be back soon.

So, I've been coming to Bahama Bucks since I was in high school (about 10 years ago). Honestly, the last few months at this specific location, they have been soooo stingy with their syrup. I don't know if it's poor training or if management is straight up telling employees to use as little syrup as possible but this is absolutely the worst it's ever been in my 10 years of coming to Bahama Bucks. The syrup in both mine and my partners shaved ices go about a third of the way? We literally paid $13 just for 2 cups of plain ice. If I wanted plain ice I could have gone to my freezer, chipped away at the frozen sides of it and it would have tasted just as good and it would have been free. Lack of syrup aside: this location also takes around 10 minutes in the drive through per car every time you go (for reference the Mesa location takes about 2 minutes per car). If you really want good shaved ice and want to keep supporting Bahama Bucks, go to the Mesa location because they actually put syrup in it.

Came with a small group of friends for an evening of sweet treats; first time for us to be here…read more Let me start by saying, the 4 stars are for the product itself...I would have truly given 2 stars for the two young men working that evening. Having never been, it took us some time to get the feel of the treats, watch others order, study the menu and then deciding on what to order. Several others in our group had been previously and they all had suggestions as well to share. Both of us got a small Jelati, which is a layered mix of Italian Ice and soft serve ice cream...you can also choose to have toppings like sprinkles, Oreo cookie crumbs, butter cookies, etc. I decided on the Key West Tropical (a wonderful tasting mix of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, banana, and coconut) layered with vanilla soft-serve and no toppings. Also, I choose the small size which was actually perfect for a tasty treat. The Jelati itself was so good...creamy and the Tropical ice was amazing and so made me want to be in the tropics! Wife decided on the lemon ice layered with vanilla and no toppings. She loved it but did say it needed a tad more of that lemon tart flavor. We will come back to try some of the other flavor combos...highly recommend this place for nice, cool, summer treat! Now on to the reason I initially said I would give 2 stars for the employees. As I was watching them make treats, I observed no gloves, I observed both touching their faces and hair, rubbing hands on pants, etc. When I was asked about ordering, I specifically asked that the young man making the treats please wash his hands and glove up, to which I got a look from the one taking the orders but he walked over to the other one, said something to him and he in turn took over the cash register while the initial young man who took the order went and washed his hands for a second or two, walked over to the gloves, put them on and made my treat. As soon as he was done, the gloves came off and he continued to make the following treats being ordered. Although nothing was said by either, the looks and overall tone was definitely changed but I really didn't care and just explained that food safety should be the top of their list. Just in case they see this...from the AzDHS food safety website: In Arizona, food workers must avoid bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods by using single-use gloves, tongs, or deli paper. We will be back for sure so hopefully employees are brought up to speed on safety requirements for washing hands and wearing gloves.

We went the soft-serve route & loved it. The mixed vanilla & chocolate swirl was delicious and…read moreperfectly smooth. The small size was more than enough, though in the summer I'd definitely go for a large. The young man working was very polite & happily offered samples until we decided on the soft-serve swirl. The cafe area was clean, well-lit & had plenty of tables to choose from. Parking was easy, too. We'll definitely be back soon.

I've tried their banana split and Joe Latti the last few times I had come by here. They have lots of rotating Italian ice flavors so there is definitely something for everyone. The ice is very soft and doesn't taste too syrupy. I think the contrast of the fruity Italian ice flavors pairs well with the vanilla soft serve that they have on the Joe Latti. I ordered the iced Thai Milk Tea Tofu dessert, really just expecting some silken tofu with Thai tea syrup on top. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of toppings it came with -- chewy boba, sago, and "potaro balls" that were made with taro or sweet potato dough and filled with black sesame. The tofu was also incredibly soft for a contrasting texture. All of it was placed in the perfect amount of actual Thai milk tea. So sad it'll be gone soon, but it makes me more inspired to try other tofu desserts on their menu :') Beyond the specials, I'm a huge fan of their iced grass jelly dessert (so refreshing!), which come with a delightful mix of textures. Monday, September 21, 2026 is the last day of summer with autumn officially beginning the next day…read more Let's end the summer season with a nice icy beach bowl! Yes, "Playa Bowls" translates directly to "Beach Bowls" because playa is the Spanish word for beach. I came with some spin class gals and what a treat. I ordered The Pura Vida bowl (base of signature açaí topped with blueberry flax granola, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and a drizzle of honey). It was everything I wanted after spin class to cool off and get some good nutrition. Eat your colors, y'all! Playa Bowls started in 2014 as a small sidewalk cart in Belmar, New Jersey, founded by surfers Abby Taylor and Rob Giuliani. With over 400 shops operating across more than 30 states, you can only assume why this place is so well-loved.

I'm bananas for bananas, so naturally I skipped right past the açaí and went straight for the Olas…read moreBowl. The Olas Bowl starts with a banana blend made with banana, honey, and almond milk, then piles on blueberry flax granola, fresh banana, blueberries, coconut flakes, chia seeds, and almond butter. Basically, it is banana on banana. And honestly? I really liked it. The banana base was creamy and naturally sweet, while the blueberries gave it a little tartness and the granola added some much-needed crunch. Coconut flakes and chia seeds gave everything more texture, and the almond butter made the whole bowl richer and more substantial. There is a lot happening in one bowl but somehow the banana still gets to be the main star. Fun banana fact: botanically, bananas are actually berries. The shop itself is really fun, with a bright, beachy vibe that makes a bowl of blended fruit feel vaguely like you are doing something tropical instead of just hiding from the Arizona heat. Four stars from me. The Olas was refreshing, filling, and a nice change from the usual açaí bowl. If you are a fellow banana enthusiast, this is probably the bowl I would point you toward. Although apparently I shouldn't point. So I'll gesture politely in its general direction.
