I used to love coming here but it has declined so much in the past year that I am just going to go to the other local places. We waited for 50 minutes and there was only two cars in front on us. They served every walk up before us. Then we finally got our last snowcone and it was wrong so we had to drive around to get another one. The service was awful I stood in like for about 30-40 minutes but they took about 10-15 drive thru cars. I ordered one drink, a large Blue coconut with colada and I waited another 40 minutes. My grandpa went up there and said something and they closed the window on him. They were rude, and slow. But they can take drive thru but not ones who were in line before drive thru? Awful. The quality of the snow cone was average, at best. The service was very far below average. No personality, cold, no greeting but met with, "what's your name." when I said "hi" We were the only people there at 12:30pm and it looked like the two workers just arrived (purse on counter, pulling hair back, and prepping to open.) We waited a while before someone came to the window. I asked for napkins and I felt like an inconvenience. I've worked in food service and I just can't understand poor service. The lines are insanely slow, the orders are usually not done properly. My order is always the same and it's almost always different. A flat top means you upgrade the size but they rarely do it. Adding sauce is either a little dribble on top or a mound of it on top. Almost never in the middle like you're supposed to. And it takes 40 minutes to get through the line. read more

I just waited forever in line and the girl at window only made 1 tigers blood, instead of two. When I told her i had two she said, "Uh, seriously? Ugh. Can you pull around and come back around?" Worst experience in Midland so far! It was horrible. It hurts me to write this review. At first I would always drive by Bahama Bucks but it just looked like an abandoned building to me. One day I looked at the menu and realized they had a plethora of tasty treats from smoothies, snow cones, and parfaits. I was so excited for my boyfriend and I to try the smoothies. I arrived at Bahama Bucks at 9:45 keep in mind i'm new to Midland so I parked so I could take a look at the menu. Another car arrived at the same time as me but went through the drive thru (smart idea). It was VERY chilly that night...it was Dec. 19th. So i'm standing at the window waiting to order. The girl definitely saw me but she was helping the car that pulled up to the window. So i patiently waited while she made his snow cones. Once she completed their order do you know that she walked over to the window and PULLED THE BLINDS DOWN RIGHTIN FRONT OF ME!!! I knocked on the window because I thought this can't be happening. I know she saw me standing here in the cold for the last 12 minutes! So I call my boyfriend and let him know that we won't be having our smoothies tonight. He tells me to drive through the drive through. I drive to the window and she's pulled the blinds there also. This girl was SUPER RUDE! I drove to Sonic's and grabbed us two cherry limeades. W While I was on my way home, my boyfriend called Bahama Bucks and he spoke with the manager. She said she was so sorry and the girl would be written up. She also said i could come in that Monday to get a free drink. Only problem with that was I was leaving Monday morning to go to Los Angeles. So I never got my free drink. This is one of our favorite places for sweet treats and is definitely a first choice for the family. They have a very unique selection and a wide variety of choices. I have never had anything there we didn't like . The wait is a little long but as stated by the owner it is something they are working on. Great customer service . Keep up the good work guys. This update is not a positive one! Because there is no other place in Midland to get these type of treats & my family loves their frozen drinks/treats, I find myself regretting patronizing this location on a regular basis!. The confusing thing is that the Odessa location is owned by the same person, yet there is a huge discrepancy b/w the service & quality of product coming from the 2 locations. I guess the Odessa employees have more pride in their jobs & more respect for their employer & customers!? My complaint tonight 11/27/15. Someone needs to teach the condescending twit that was working, basic 3rd grade multiplication! (btw "twit" def annoyingly foolish person.) The temperature was 34 degrees, the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT states Polar Punches 2x, 3x, & 4x punches. Therefore, when I purchase 5 items (to the tune of $18), that normally warrants 5 punches, at 34 degrees/3x punches, 5x3=15. She argued w/ me & said it was only 3 additional punches per purchase, BUT SHE DIDNT SAY PER CUSTOMER OR PER DAY! So based on her idiotic logic, IF I had purchased each item 1 at a time, w/ 3 additional punches per purchase, ie 4 punches, that would have been 20 not 15. Instead I got 8! That is false advertisement, it doesn't say 2+, 3+, & 4+ nor does it have fine print stating any thing different! To add to the insult, we were the ONLY customers w/ 2 workers, they had plenty of time to produce a good product. Instead we got our 3 frozen cherry limeades as usual, chunky, poorly blended, and under filled. Photo included. This product is so inconsistently produced. 1 time it's all cherry no lime, other times it's too much ice & watered down, and it's ALWAYS CHUNKY & poorly blended! Definitely one of Midland's favourites, when it's time to treat the family, most people come here, it could get pretty busy at times with long lines, I might have given the fifth star if it had better seating. There were several staff members but only 1 was taking orders from both the drive through and walk up windows. The others were just standing around doing nothing which made everyone's order take forever to be made and received. Such a refreshing treat! Nice, up & coming, busy location in Midland. I don't like how the traffic flow of the drive-thru runs into the parking area (which can fill up fast), so sometimes that can be a pain. But I like coming for smoothies & snowcones. Me and my daughter and husband tried this for the first time and it was good. I got bubble gum and she got pink cotton candy. The only con was that they messed up on my husbands drink 2xs in the drive way when she handed him the smoothie he just took it he didn't bother to make her redo it again after she messed up again. He asked for a drink on the menu obviously she didn't know how to make it. It was more of a Hispanic beverage with chamoy on it. It was completely wrong. So he was very disappointed. Cause we have heard good things about this place. I will update my review once they get it right and don't have to look at the ingredients to make it. They should already know what's in all the drinks. Another thing is I know you are a busy joint but take the time to HEAR what someone is telling you in the drive thru don't just slame the window. I do not get upset easily but I am LIVID. I went to the Bahama Bucks in my town (Midland, TX) and waited patiently in the drive thru line to get a snow cone. The line was very long considering it's been 100° everyday here and it's not even summer yet. When I got up to the speaker nobody spoke to me, I saw a boy with a headset on walking from car to car in front of me, he was helping the vehicles in line before me. I saw this and figured that their speaker wasn't working and they were trying something like Chick-fil-A where they take your order at your car. I waited and drove up when the cars in front of me did. The boy with the headset comes up to my car and says "ma'm you didn't place your order at the speaker so you're going to have to go back around through the line and order" and walks off!! Just walks off!! Plus there are still cars in front of me so he's telling me I have to wait until they're done, pass the window and not get anything and get back in the very long line that was taking a while to progress in the first place!?! So I said, "can you not just take my order here and Have it ready by the time I get to the window? I only want two snow cones." He said "no ma'm I tried to talk to you at the speaker" and walked off again... so at this point I've raised my voice because he keeps walking off from me before I can respond and I said " can I please speak to your manager!?!?" So he gets his manager and our comes a young girl that proceeds to tell me the same thing, says there is nothing she can do and walks off... so I drive off from my spot and line because I was so mad that it brought me to tears.... I would leave zero stars if possible! Waited in line way longer than anyone should ever have to for two pickle snow cones only to have them turn out absolutely AWFUL! There was no flavor, the ice on top was practically white & when we dug to the bottom thinking it would be better it was RED! Yes, they poured the wrong syrup into the bottom of our snow cone and then just poured the pickle juice on top and served them anyways! I understand mistakes happen but how hard is it to fix them?
