Banana Flavor Shaved Ice with Princess Sprinkles
James M.

When I'm in Florida, there is nothing I like more than a frozen treat, if you're looking for something light, refreshing and packed with flavor then Bahama Buck's is for you I have tried at least 10 of the flavors, a new one each visit and have always enjoyed my shaved ice. The sheer amount of choices can almost be intimidating but the staff have always given me some good suggestions. Just watching the giant ice blocks spin and being made into shaved ice is mesmerizing. A perfect thing to have after dinner or as a little treat in the Florida heat.

Love the sno cones here! They have so many flavors and combos. These sno cones are so thick, they're more like Italian ices. The staff is always friendly too. You can even buy some sno balls to battle with your friends.

New favorite dessert spot! I ordered the Cotton Candy Sno Pop, and it was super delicious. I got the smallest size and it was the perfect portion in my opinion. The cashier was also super sweet and friendly. Overall, great experience and will be back!

Very short review: My nephew tried the strawberry cheesecake delight. It was delicious!!!!!! The ice was PERFECTLY shaved, the cheesecake was creamy and not overly sweet, and the overall combo was a match made in paradise! Friendly staff and very clean upfrontt. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.

Great fun place to visit and eat a shaved ice treat! A small is plenty, there's also a mini. Wife liked it so much, she went through the line after tasting our daughter's. Kudos to the team that works behind the counter! Everyone was engaged, did their job really well and had great attitudes! Love to see it! Fun place, support it!

This is a tough one. It was our first visit here and I've really been looking forward to it. When we got there they weren't too busy as it was around 60° outside and dropping. The perfect time to have ice cream or Italian ice. We spent a little while going over their quite extensive menu. For the first visit I went with one of their prechosen concoctions. If you want to build your own there are just way too many choices for me to jump in on my first try. I personally had a smoothie called Strawberry Bliss. It's a blend of strawberry and vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It was truly excellent. My companions went a completely different way. One had the Nerds rainbow and the other one built their own with Tigers Blood and sour spray. They were all very good and I'm sure we will be back in the future. Now for my problems with the place. The staff this night was for younger people who spent the bulk of their time at the far end of the counter where they make the products and they were just chatting. They did not ignore the customers but there was no friendliness or greeting at all. On my other real issue with this place was that even though it was later in the day it was filthy. There's a line of booths along the one window and every one of them needed some serious cleaning. There were scraps of trash all over the floor and I kind of felt the employees had time or at least one of them could have gone around and done a little upkeep.

My group ordered a few shaved ice, which all tasted like sugar water in the end once everything melts and blends together lol. I was actually pretty horrified by the staff during the Thursday night shift. There were at least 4-5 staff members all talking loudly and laughing amongst themselves, and even throwing things at each other for fun. Once my shaved ice was made, the staff member literally put the entire shaved ice under the faucet to rinse off the sides of the cup. I'm pretty sure tap water went into the shaved ice while he was doing this. No words. C'mon guys... we just got over Covid... I literally witnessed the making of the most unsanitary dessert spot while on vacation.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out a sno cone from Bahama bucks for the first time. It was absolutely delicious! The sno cone had a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, and the ice was the perfect texture. The flavor was so intense that I could taste it even after it had melted. I would highly recommend trying Bahama Buck's sno cone if you haven't already, as it's a great way to beat the heat and enjoy a delicious treat! The wedding cake was my favorite flavor. Coconut a close second.

Bomb Pop & Strawberry Freezecake Smoothie

Parents loved the smoothies. Kids loved the Signature Snos. If you're staying nearby, you may be back everyday. If that's the case, grab a punchcard. Buy 10, get 1 free. Swing by if you're dining or catching a movie at Sunset Walk. Indoor & outdoor seating. Order in-store or skip the line and order online. Fav item: Açaí Berry Breeze Smoothie | Açaí, mixed berries, strawberry & non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt.

A very welcome addition to the area, and it fits in perfectly with the overall vibe of Margaritaville. No matter where we go for dinner, we always stop here for dessert. There are SO MANY flavors!! The blue cotton candy is a favorite of ours. Eventually we'll try everything on the list, except for maybe the pickle, yes there is even a pickle flavor. The staff is always friendly and helpful, ask them for a loyalty card and after your tenth purchase you get one for free. There are ports near each table to charge your phone, hopefully eventually they'll bring back the board games as soon as it's safe. I love this place!

Birthday cake smoothie

I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this since it's shaved ice rather than ice cream, but I wanted to try it. I ordered a birthday cake smoothie which I had seen on their website before I went. Luckily the girl at the register knew how to make it because I guess it's not a usual thing. She was very nice. There was not a line, so it was ready very quickly. The girl that made it for me asked me where I got the idea for it, which I thought was odd since it was on their site. So I guess the things on their site aren't necessarily in their store. It was good, but sooooo sweet. I like sweet stuff, but this was a lot! I didn't finish it. I don't even think I finished half of it. Not because it was bad, but it was just too sweet for me. I wouldn't have really known it was shaved ice. It tasted like a milkshake to me. Not sure I'd get another one. I'd definitely do a different flavor if I did, but it was worth trying.

First time visit this size was perfect for the two of us. Snow-cones are a perfect way to start your weekend! Glad we found this place for a different sweet treat. Very customer friendly service and a great addition to this area. So many varieties and options. A fun place to sit inside or outside for great entertainment. Great recommendation for a night out.

The ice cream is quality Blue Bell brand which already told me the ice cream is great. I will say that the shakes and a decent size and could be shared with a friend or family member as they are exploding with sweetness. I really enjoyed the Hot Fudge Nachos as it was a fun spin on a hot fudge sundae. This is definitely an experience I recommend! There is plenty of indoor seating, two large sinks in the back of the dining room to wash out your souvenir mason jars, colorful murals on the walls, friendly and welcoming staff. Menu board, handheld menus and a photo menu book to look at to help you make your decision. You do t have to get the souvenir mason jars with your shakes but they are cute if you want them.

This place is very Instagrammable, which I'm sure was part of their plan (and I think it worked)! They have all sorts of crazy concoctions with fun names, many in mason jars (hence their business name). These concoctions aren't cheap, and I think anyone would be hard pressed to finish one themselves, so if you're not big on sweet treats maybe share one. They do have some options for basic ice cream, etc. in dishes, but that is not their wheelhouse. The staff was very helpful in answering questions, especially because the menu is a bit overwhelming. They make each concoction to order, so you can make some substitutions but that also means it will take some time to get your order (especially in a large group).

We ordered A2- which is a mango ice cream, coconut, with fresh pomelo and mango on top. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. We had just had lunch about an hour before and this was a delightful and refreshing treat. The restaurant is bright and open but a closer look revealed it needed some deep cleaning. The seat I was sitting in had visible dirt on it and there was some dark long hairs on the seat. I'm not grossed out by that type of thing because if you know anyone with long hair, it just falls out. No big deal but I certainly didn't expect to see it on the seat I was sitting in. The tables and bases all need a thorough cleaning as well as other areas I noticed during our visit. I'd understand this a little more if I saw they were super busy and only had one person working, however, we were the only customers, except for two to-go orders and the one employee was sitting down on his phone when he wasn't helping a customer. As someone who has been in the restaurant industry for over 35 yrs, I am well aware of the things needed to keep a restaurant successful. Attention to detail is one of the key factors and unfortunately Mango Mango is lacking in this area. I hope they can see this review and possibly take a closer look at the cleanliness because the food is on point. Next time I'm in the area hopefully I'll see. If not, I might need to find another place to visit.

Seriously, you can save all your other options for a rainy day. This is the place for any occasion, date, family gathering, or plain ol' get together with friends to enjoy sweets with great company. Located off South Apopka Vineland Road on the Northbound side, Mango Mango is situated in a relatively new development and plaza (if you look at the satelite imagery from Google maps, it will still show undeveloped land as of June 2026). It's less than a 10 minute drive from the Disney Springs property, and about an 18 minute drive from Old Town/Fun Spot which is where we were staying for this particular trip coming from Tampa. As you arrive, you will find a spacious lot, however the actual parking spaces do appear limited (something to consider if you decide to have a large reunion here). Upon entering, you will find a very clean storefront and reception. Overall the store maintains a very neat and tidy appearance that is very welcoming and neutral when it comes to the varying demographics of customers. While we have been to Mango Mango before in a New Jersey location, this location provides a bit of table service (which we have not experienced prior) for dine-in which makes it a bit more intimate. The menu offers plentiful choices of sweets - from bowls with fresh fruits and ice cream, to your specialty drinks including boba. To call Mango Mango a boba shop would do it injustice, as this place truly shines as a hollistic dessert spot. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the selections. Each dish/drink is perfectly made to their own specifications. The best part is that none are overly sweet, which I feel is a crutch that most dessert spots experience. Highly recommend the mixed fresh fruit with sago and jelly! Wish this was in Tampa because this would give our usual boba spot a run for their money. This is a must have if you're in the area, so treat yourself after long hot day at the parks at Mango Mango!

First Visit to Gideon's Bakehouse…read more My first time experiencing Gideon's Bakehouse was definitely more than just stopping by for a cookie--it felt like walking into a whole different world- for real!. From the moment I approached the entrance, the dark, gothic atmosphere, vintage artwork, old books, and unique decor immediately caught my attention. This is not a traditional sit-down bakery or café, so I went in knowing the experience is more about getting the famous cookies and taking in the atmosphere, appearance and taste of the infamous cookies. There can be a little bit of a wait outside, especially when it's busy, but honestly, I found the experience to be part of the fun. Inside, everything is incredibly detailed--from the creepy-but-cool portraits and antique-style displays to the shelves filled with Gideon's memorabilia. Even the signs and artwork have their own personality. It feels almost like stepping into a haunted library with a bakery hidden inside- move over Disney's Haunted House. Ok back to the real item, of course, there are the cookies. For my first visit, I'd say the wait and the hassle were worth experiencing at least once. Gideon's is definitely more than just a place to grab a cookie--it's an experience, and the atmosphere makes it memorable. I can definitely see why people make a stop at Gideon's part of their visit. So yes go ahead make it a family stop, kids will definitely love them too!

They did not include any plasticware or napkins, so I expect they think I was just going to inhale the food like Nintendo's Kirby monster and not need to wipe any chocolate residue off along the way. I would like to meet the complete idjit that designed this process of melty chocolate in Florida's summer heat to understand the complete contempt they had for their customers that waited 10+ minutes in line so much so that they can't include plasticware to eat cake with and a napkin to wipe off the melty chocolate. Must be the same guy that made the DMV how it is. The theming is cool inside, that is the best aspect of this place. The vibes are immaculate. This is a place a proper sickly Victorian-era child ghost could haunt. You just can't say that about many spots in Orlando. The banana bread cookie I was most excited about was doughy, overly salted to an extreme, and had way too many walnuts. The girl at the register warned me it had walnuts and we discussed how walnutty this thang was. They really should call this the walnut cookie. The walnut is basically the whole gat dang cookie, you can't taste banana nor bread. Calling it a banana bread cookie is just misleading. The thai banana cookie from Summer House around the corner in Springs is not all it is cracked up to be either, but that one certainly is not 99% walnut by weight like this one. The cookies and cream Oreo slice was far better, which was mildly concerning that a cookie shoppe traditionally known for their "viral" cookies had failed so bad at cookies it was actually their CAKE that was the thing worth writing home about my experience. It is such a viral spot everyone is coming here for the experience to see a spot that a proper sickly Victorian-era child ghost could haunt. But smart customers get the cake, not the cookies. When you get the cake slice, verify that you have plastic cutlery and napkin before leaving the store, otherwise you are going to need to Kirby-inhale it. I think that is Nintendo, so that is Universal IP not Disney, but you get the picture. Who is the Kirby of Disney? Drax with his cake-toast?
