I asked the server if they knew which flavors were gluten free as I have celiac, and although she didn't know by heart, she told me she could lift the buckets and look at the ingredient list. Once we confirmed the pistachio ice cream did not include any gluten or wheat, I tasted it and it was really delicious. The intense green color made me think it would taste very artificial, but thankfully that wasn't the case. Lovely store. Crowded even though it was colder outside than usual this time of the year in Celebration, FL. They have many flavors to choose from. All types of candy and popcorn besides ice cream. We got a generous dip on a sugar cone of butter pecan. Sat outside and enjoyed the Christmas sites and ate our ice cream. Savored every bit of that butter pecan. You will need to stand in line until it's your turn to select. Friendly workers. The price is up there. Three single dip cones came to over $20 including tax. Walking into Kilwin's is like taking an entire confectionary tour based on smell alone. The fresh waffle cones are made at a station next to the door, making every unsuspecting individual suddenly crave the best thing this place has to offer (besides fudge if you're into that!): classic, homemade ice cream based on an original recipe they've been perfecting since 1947! Don't get me wrong, this place is pricey, but it's also in the middle of downtown Celebration and offers reprieve from the heat and a public restroom to anyone in need. It's hard to resist a frozen treat when you're walking along the lake or checking out the neighborhood! Since I have a nut allergy, there are lots of things I haven't tried. However, I did get around to tasting their salted caramel candy apple for the first time for $7.50 - it was pretty chewy and a little TOO salty, but I they weren't shy layering the good stuff on. They also, as always, made sure to snag our ice cream orders with clean scoops from new tubs in the back freezers to avoid any contamination. There isn't any seating inside, which is probably for the best since the line usually goes out the door. I love their shaded tables on the outside though! I have traveled to Fl every fall since 2010. I have made it a point to always come to celebration for my once a year caramel apples! They are pricey! Let's face it you can buy a big bag of apples for the $7.95 each caramel apple costs. I bought two. I asked for one to be cut & one to take to condo! When I got home the cut apple was bad in the center! They also put on paper with Kilwins name that will not depart from caramel, big mess. The next day the same was true of second caramel apples, rotten in center. I was truly disappointed, I've come here for 15 years. I debated not writing a bad review because of the past then thought I'd want to know if I'd never been. The apples can be upwards to 12$ each. The place is immaculate, they have great samples, great service. I suggest if you get apples to have them cut & check b4 leaving to ensure freshness. Few places have just plain or nut caramel apples so truly disappointing to have my staple not come through! read more

We can eat Christmas time during the weekend while they had lots of Celebration festivities going on so the lines were very long... even going outside the store. I was very impressed by how fast the employees were moving. Also even with how busy they were the associate still let me sample a few. They have tons of ice cream flavors. All the classics. They also sale icecream cakes and fudge. I found the icecream to be very creamy and rich. We all enjoyed it. They do have sorbet for people With dairy allergies as well. Located just a few doors down from Columbia Restaurant. I love Kilwin's and no matter where we are, if there is one around I have to come and visit. The girls wanted some ice cream so I looked on Yelp for the nearest shop and found Kilwin's! There was a line almost out the door. I love their fudge and their peanut butter cups. This is a much smaller shop than I'm used to, so their options were limited compared to other locations. My hubs got some fudge and my daughter got a scoop of cookies and cream in a sugar cone. I was very disappointed since they didn't have peanut butter cups but opted for the peanut butter ball (not the same by the way). The peanut butter ball's chocolate was thin and just wasn't as good as the cup. Staff was super friendly and despite it being a long line, it moved rather quickly. read more

This is a cute ice cream place in Downtown Celebration. Came here to grab some scoops while attending the Exotic Car Show. They offer a large variety of different ice cream flavors, as well as Sundaes, Shakes and Fudge. I couldn't give it 5 Stars as the prices were quite steep per scoop (around $5 for a small scoop, no cone or waffle). Today, I had a milk chocolate with sprinkles covered rice Krispy treat, and a slice of milk chocolate almond bark, and my husband had a salted caramel and chocolate covered rice Krispy treat. They both tasted as great as they looked! They were the made from scratch rice Krispy treats, and not the prepackaged kind, so that was a pleasant surprise! We considered getting some ice cream since it's still extremely hot here in September, however the ice cream all looked a tad melted (I'm sure from the constant open and closing of the ice cream glass doors mixed with this humidity!) already. Being in an affluent town, the prices here are not for the faint of heart ($5 for a small scoop of ice cream in a cup!), but that is to be expected. A horrible place for customers, on father's day 06/17/23 I visited this place for the first time. I entered this place with 2 customers in front of me, I was ignored by the employee, she was speaking Spanish with someone on her phone, 2 customers in front were also ignored . When she finally finished her conversation she just stood up in front of the 2 customers when suddenly another Spanish speaker rushed through the door and started speaking Spanish with the employee that just started serving those 2 customers in front of me. Finally my turn and the lady just stood up in front of me looking down so I assumed it was my turn and ordered.
