Tried this location for the first time. I had never been there before, but my boyfriend lived in Lubbuck where it all began. When we arrived, it was pretty packed with families, but we didn't have to wait super long for our order. I ordered a small Nerds rainbow. A small was plenty for me and was quite delicious. My bf ordered the shark attack. Although he did enjoy the surrounding flavor, the sour patch liquid was not that great to either of us. Cute concept though. They have several different flavor options and sizes. We prefer the baby size because it's plenty and it does come with the coned top. Came here for a quick sweet! I got their strawberry cheesecake flavor icee topped with gummy bears. It was really good and you get a lot. My cup was the smallest size which was maybe about $5 but they make it tall so you get your money's worth. Being lactose intolerant I grew up becoming a connoisseur of shaved ice concoctions. I feel it is safe to say I live for snow-cones or shaved ice and Bahama Buck's did not disappoint. The selection was impressive, the price was reasonable, the texture of the ice was amazing and the final product was like a day on the beach...(maybe a beach in the Bahamas even....hey Dream Big, right?), the only negative was the server/staff. No one spoke upon entering the establishment and when I explained this was my first visit and asked a few questions it felt I was doing them a disservice by interpreting their chat break. I admit I enjoyed my Iced treat a great deal, but I'm not sure I would fight the traffic and all the parking space dilemmas simply to receive such service. Fort Worth has a lot of snow cone locations to choose from (even in the winter months) so I'll have to see how I feel the next time I am in Montgomery Plaza, will it be Taste of Service? I guess we will have to wait and see. Due to poor service I reluctantly give Bahama Bucks a star rating of Three. Two for the service I received but for Taste and Selection i gave the a FOUR. I'm a sucker for snow cones. It could be 10 degrees out and I'd still want one. I've been to this location many times and I love love love it. The staff is never that great to be honest. But you only have to spend like 4 minutes interacting with them so it's whatever. But holy cow, the amount of options they have... I usually get either sugar cookie, birthday cake, wedding cake, banana, white coconut or bubble gum. Yummmmmy. I should also mention - if you can't eat a lot then the "baby" option is more than enough! I wish they had one smaller than that because it's still too much for me. The inside seemed almost nicer and more dressed up than the other two I've been to, and the manager and girl behind the counter were really nice. My husband got way more ice cream than sno cone and asked the manager and he was happy to give him a little more shaved ice and informed him that he can tell them next time exactly how he wants it. Although anything to do with Montgomery Plaza is a bit of a pain, it was worth venturing into the yuppie zone that is West 7th. I took the suggestion of others and went with half Sugar Cookie and half Birthday Cake -- hubby went with the Rootbeer Float. We were both very pleased. They pack the snow-like fluff nice and tight and use plenty of flavoring so every bite was sugary goodness. YUM! We will be back (probably every week throughout the summer!). read more

At about 3:30pm on a Saturday, an employee thought it would be a good idea to mop with extremely strong chemicals, not only around us, but even asked us to move our feet so she could mop under our table! There were no spills or anything to clean, she was just randomly mopping. The chemical smell was so strong I started coughing and my mom got sick. I hate writing bad reviews but this is one of the most worst experiences I've had here at this location. We ordered before there was a rush. There was about only 3 couples ahead of us. I watched as others got their snow cones and then we noticed people who ordered after us started getting their orders. It was already been 30 minutes and asked if ours is ready yet. The guy just asked what we had. We waited another 10 minutes for our orders as they pushed out other orders. There was no sense of urgency or much communication amongst the staff. I finally got ONE of my baby snow cones and as pictured it only had syrup at the top. The rest of the snow cone didn't have syrup. We weren't the only ones who had this problem, there was others who had to let them know they were missing syrup. And on top of that we waited another 5 minutes for our other baby snow cone that came with a half melted rocket pop. No apologies either and didn't seem to have a manager on staff. read more
