Bahama Buck's at North Hills East (North Hills Crossing)on Gateway Blvd next to Sports Clips its a cute shaved Ice chain Store. I absolutely love the way it is decorated. It reminds me to the "Margarita Ville Theme Resorts" and it makes sense because it is all "Caribbean Like" the music, the colors.. etc.. The staff is nice and fast I like that too. Just right. I love having a treat and they got many options of different flavors and toppings for your shaved ice, smoothie fruit blends, smoothie cream blends, Bahama Sodas, Lemonades, Acai Bowl ( I think just for catering) Frozen Hot KoKO, and Frostalattes. I love visiting the store because 1. EL Paso its HOT and one needs to cool down.. so the idea of cooling down with a sweet treat its the perfect oasis. Now, I do not love their treats.. everything is perfect but many of their cold/frozen treats even thou delicious they still have a weird after taste that reminds me I shouldn't be "cooling off" and I highly dislike that. Plenty of tables inside and out! Employees were friendly and they made our two shaved ice pretty quick. There are various different flavors and you can also get toppings for an additional cost. My favorite and go to order is the blue rasberry shaved ice with tropic creme and Li Hing Mui powder on top, yummy! They also offer a few different toppers that you can get for free! Make sure to check the menu. Also ask for a punch card where you can get a free item once you fill it all up! read more

Hands down, new favorite spot for dessert!!! Cant believe we didnt visit this spot sooner and its right up our alley! I dont know why, but i was slightly disappointed when i didnt see any frozen margaritas as an option lol. Not sure why i had the impression that there might have been a frozen bahama mama lol. Anyways! So yes, family friendly chain! Very festive and fun as soon as you walk in with great music and friendly greetings. The menu had an excellent spread of smoothies, shaved ice, and my fave, frozen coffee flavors! My husband seemed to be more of the connoisseur for this stuff yet has never gone here neither. Prolly because he is a bigger fan of eating ice than me. So he was excited and ready for a shaved ice of coke and cherry flavors. I had a harder time but settled for their Cocomel. It had coconut and caramel to it which they suggested was the most popular. Well, my husband couldnt stop raving about his shaved ice! It always amazes me whenever he is thoroughly satisfied by something so thats already a win! I wasnt too crazy about mine though. I know their main component of flavoring means a bunch of sugary goodness but i felt like mine was just that. I didnt really taste the coconut part but definitely the caramel part. I've always love Bahama buck's but the Edgemere location never picks up the phone. I tried for 3 days straight so I could order a paradise package and I never got an answer. Despite me living 2 minutes away from that location I have to order from the Zaragoza location. Such an inconvenience. read more

This past weekend was mine and my sons' first time at Bahama Bucks. We were really looking forward to a sweet treat! We were the first customers on Sunday. Their shave ice was great! I had hurricane and my sons both had strawberry. The unfortunate part of our experience was that the restaurant was so dirty first thing in the morning. Every table was dirty and sticky. There were no napkins on the third table we set at. (It took three tries to find a table, eventually had to have the table cleaned Bc there were no clean ones.) I'm only putting 2stars only because the cashier was super nice but the rest of your staff is very rude. if you go to Bahama bucks, I don't recommend the Eastlake location. I was waiting on a cup holder and wasn't acknowledged by any other employee there. we also asked for extra snowcone syrup and the girl that was making them looked so annoyed and questioned the cashier. like we can't ask for more!? im very dissatisfied. this was our first time going to this location. and will never go back. this one is across the street to my house but I much rather go another location. read more

As a newly opened place, I understand there are going to be kinks, but I'm rating this based in my first ever experience at BB (number 100!!! And in northeast!). None of these are reason for me not to return, yet. As you walk in, there is already a line. Since there's no drive thru in this one, it gets packed and unfortunately may result in blocked doors.. Aka fire hazard. Good thing is, the lines move relatively quickly. While waiting in line, I saw an ad saying that since its grand opening, you get free creme or chamoy on your ice, expiration date, 2 days past. Huge peeve of mine when on billboards, even more when I'm person. The first customer experience at the register should be enough to keep you welcome. The cashier seemed tired and out of sorts, and when I questioned the price, he said yeah the creme was free, re rang me up, but it still wasn't on my final product. Also, it appeared some people had stamp cards, but that wasn't mentioned to me. Sitting, waiting for my cone, I took a look around. Tables were messy, napkin dispensers were empty and puddles of sticky syrup were everywhere. I was grossed out enough that I almost left, but I forced myself to stay. Another thing I noticed was the look of uniformity in the workers. All of them had different styles, cuts, designs, etc. I know it's just a dessert shack, but I felt it lacked a professional atmosphere because of it. Finally, the product itself. I got a small ice, which is just about the right size. Birthday cake was tasty, but there were a few others I would try. The top 2/3 was tasty. Sweet, not cloying and the texture was great. However, the bottom third was just ice, no flavoring and instead of that snowy light texture, it more resembled that of a wad of cotton candy in your mouth. I can only imagine of that was the case in a larger size.. I'd be miffed. I'll stick with small, ices only and try watermelon and pickle (not together). Depending on the future experiences, this may or may not be a place I frequent. read more

Yah I said it...this place has been a great treat for me and my family and holds some special memories for me :). The variety of flavors and toppings can be overwhelming...but if your simple like me you find one an stick with it. If you wanna be fancy; add a scoop of ice cream and a cream top for the true Bahama Mama Experience. Don't under estimate the sizes....I get a regular and can barely finish it.. A regular spot for my family and I. My son is particularly fond of this place. We love the shaved ice, the smoothies, and the paradise fruit. It's a family friendly place that's very inviting, the staff is awesome and they have games for you to play while you're enjoying your snack. This was a great treat for a family of 4, way cheaper than frozen yogurt. There are a ton of flavors, and the staff was helpful in making suggestions. The place was clean and brightly lit, cute decorations. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is there is not enough seating and the place had a long line. The line moved quickly so that's not an issue. It is hot outside and there are only 2 exterior tables. If there was better exterior seating then I would have zero complaints! Very good and love the texture. I'm a chocolate person, and there's nothing chocolate on the menu. I ordered Sugar Cookie and they do have Ghirardelli drizzle which I later added to mine and it made it delicious!!! My husband got Strawberry Cheesecake and he too enjoyed his. Been here many times and love the shaved ice and smoothies. Tonight, I accidentally dropped my full to the brim avalanche sized smoothie on the floor right after it was given to me and one of the girls that works there kindly helped me clean up the mess and handed me a new smoothie.
